Lamark's Theory of Evolution: The animal aquired the trait because it wanted to, then passed it on to it's offspring.
This is entirely false. If a person wanted to be strong and became strong, and passed it on, does this mean that the offspring will be strong also? No. They will remain weak, and the species will die, unless the offspring manage to do the same thing their parents did.

ChiChi sang a quiet tune to herself as she hung out Gohan's wet clothes. Goten played a ways off, chasing a frog. It ribbited (I love that word) and hopped away.

"Man Mommy! This frog is like the energizer bunny! He keeps going, and going, and going, and going...."He trailed off, to where she couldn't hear him anymore, but, she knew, he was still talking, and would probably go on for the next half hour. She thought about Gohan as she walked in the house. Where did he say he was going? The wind was too hard to hear him. She sighed, going back to her work again. Where was that boy anyhow?

Gohan paced in the same room he had been in for the last few hours. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of a person would start a riot like this. The only thing he ever remembered actually staging an attack against this place was Buu. But, he was gone. Kibito no onger watched him anymore, on account of becomming far too dizzy. Videlle just watched the fire, and wondered the same thing. Not like it wasn't on all their minds.

After a few more minutes, Shin opened an eye, and looked around. Those people looked familliar. That large person, he too. He opened them all the way, before recognizing them. He tried to sit up, but that was far too dizzying. Kibito asked if he was alright.

"I'm...owww, fine..." He propped himself up as far as the dizzyness allowed. Gohan and Videlle smiled. It was nice to see him awake.

"What..are you all doing..here?" He questioned.

"We knew something was wrong, so we came to see what was going on, and we ended up right here. Hey, I have a question for you if you don't mind answering." He nodded as best he could. "Who was that person that tried to kill you? We didn't see him." He thought for a moment. He shrugged.

"I don't seem to remember that...all I remember is waking up, getting ready to go out, and sombody took me from behind, and jammed something in my back. That's all I know. I didn't see the person. The only good description..ooww..I could give..would be blonde hair, and..kind of..human..I guess....." Shin suddenly broke out into a coughing fit, and it wouldn't have ever stopped had not Kibito gave him a pat on the back. He caught his breath, leaning back on the couch. Videlle seemed concerned, but unable to do anything.

"That's true?" Shin looked at him skeptically.

"Does this look like that face of a kai who'd lie to you?" Gohan bowed his head.

"No, not at all." He thought again. Blonde hair, human? Where was this going to? He continued to pace, while Kibito got Shin some water. He still looked very messed up, and, well, pathetic by any standards, but managed to maintain his poise quite well. (and never once, might I add as an edditors note, did he slouch..hehe) Kibito came back, and Shin drank his water. Videlle continued to stare at the fire again.

It took a few more hours, but soon Shin was able to stand and move about on his own, and was much happier to get into something not so dirty. He came back a while later, noticing a trail of blood in the hall. He shrugged, walking to the kitchen where the group had migrated to.

"Who died that your not telling me about?" He eyeballed Kibito, who looked the other direction. He spoke up quietly.

"It was Shane. He said he tried to help you, but the guy got him." Shin's eyes widened like saucers at this new information. He bowed his head. Videlle watched him. She didn't think anyone else saw, but to her, shaky shoulders never lie. She reached over and put a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sure that's what he wanted. Don't be sad for him. He wouldn't want you to get upset, I know." He looked up at her, eyes glazed over, and gave a small smile in reply.

"Thank you. You made my day better." He sighed, leaning on the table, sipping at a glass of lemonade. Everyone looked up at a humming figure walking through the door. She gave Shin a hug, before getting something to eat. She continued humming her little song, that to Videlle seemed extremely catchy, as she sat down with everyone.

"Well, Karina, how are you?" She looked up at Kibito with a wide smile.

"Just wonderfull thank you! I'm feeling kind of perky today. Maybe I'll go out for a jog or something..." She took a bite of the food she had gotten, still humming the catchy song. Gohan was confused.

"So, um, who are you?" She looked up, almost offensively.

"I'm Karina. Karina Seris. Just call a demi-kai.." Shge giggled to herself. Shin smiled. "I'm his wife, thank you. And, If you don't mind me saying, you have a lot of style for a human!" Videlle blushed, thanking her. It had only taken minutes for them to become fast freinds. They went off to talk about nails and hair and things of the feminine sort, while the guys tried to figure out what happened.

"She wasn't here. She doesn't know about this whole thing. Thank kami..." Kibito sighed, turning back to Shin. He thought also. Somebody tried to kil him, and he didn't even remember a face!! He sat there, deep in thought, before startling everyone with the sudden need to take a shower. Gohan smiled, before talking to Kibito.

"So, should we go out and find him?"

"Probably not." They didn't know what to think anymore. Just wait untill the thing strikes again. That was the only thing to do.

---

Shin was now done with that shower, and a few hours had gone by. He was in a small room now, training almost as hard as vegita.

"Wow. Look at him go."

"Yeah, It's a shame he'll never get any better than that."

"That's not nice Kibito! Why would you say that?"

"Because he's weak."

"uh. I don't think so."

"I don't mean that in a bad way."

"Oh, how do you mean it?"

"You remember when he told you about his family life right?" Gohan nodded, now interested. "His father didn't like him because he was weak. Always will be. So, he's always trying to prove someone wrong. The doctors say he won't make 30 in human years. He can't even get any stronger, or somehow, his heart will just give out on him. They say he won't last much longer, but I refuse to believe that. He's been through more things in a year than most kais ever do in a lifetime. And I mean that." He bowed his head sadly, along with Gohan, who watched Shin. As soon as it seemed he had things, he suddenly fell over, panting uncontrolably. Kibito was amazed at the fact, that he continued to try to get up, even though there was no way it would happen. So, Shin jus gave out, laying on the floor on his back and trying to catch his breath. Kibito turned down the gravity so he'd have an eisier time of it. As soon as he got back up though, he motioned to turn it back up.

"You know how you Saiyans have levels?"

"Yes." Gohan thought about that.

"Well, so do we, but we chose not to use them unless neccesary. That's what Shin is trying and has been trying for years to do."

"What has he gotten to?"

"One."

"Not even two?"

"He can't handle two. That's why the people say he won't make it. He might actaully die instantly if he made two." Gohan was aphauled. This was one amazing kai.

"That's kind of sad."

"I admire him. He tries even though he knows he can't do it. He still tries. And that's what everyone is inspired by here." He smiled at the kai on the other side of the room.

"That's amazing." Gohan thought to himself. He never knew that about him. Maybe that's why he chose not to fight, and people chose for him not to get involved. Suprime Kai was neutral in all respects, and didn't get into holy wars and things of that sort.

Shin finnished up, taking all he could bear, and almost falling over when he got to the hall. Kibito helped him to his feet, walking him the rest of the way where he wanted to go. Gohan didn't follow, but strayed in another direction. That was when he saw it. Not even half a ways down the hall he was walking in, there was something laying on the ground that somebody had dropped. He picked it up. It was a small necklace, with a little blue pearl in the middle. It gleamed when in the sunlight, almost blinding Gohan as he held it. He just fiddled with it a moment later before going to show it to Shin.

"Hey, I..um..found this in the hallway. Is it yours?" Shin plucked it out of his hand, taking a small look at it before nodding.

"No. I've never seen anything like it." He gasped. "Gohan!! Do you know what you've discovered?!" Gohan stared at him blankly. "I know who's this is! It's Mokine's necklace! That was the person. I remember!" He smiled widely. Kibito thought for a moment.

"Wait, wasn't that that one person here when Buu attacked?"

"Yes! Exactly! The person that had lead Buu here and attacked!" Shin sneered to himself. "Looks like the bastard is back for another try."

"I can't believe he would do this."

"It's because he wants my position."

"What's so great about it?"

"Gohan?! Are you mad?! I have the highest position in the universe!! The things he could do if he had defeated me those years ago..."

"He must have been realy powerfull to have gotten so close to destroying the whole suprime kai race!"

"It wasn't just him, it was Buu too. I figured that he'd come back for another try. I just didn't know when." He thought for a moment. "Why now."

"I think, I can answer that." Kibito startled the two out of thought. "Today, or yesterday, happens to be an annaversary for the attack, or maybe it was tomorrow..."

"Kibito, you're a genius!" He hugged the man, scarring the living daylights out of him. He backed off blushing. "Sorry.." He looked away quickly. Gohan's gaze moved from one to the other in confusion. They avoided each other, Shin looking away whenever Kibito looked that way.

"You guys are realy confusing." Shin got over himself quickly, getting back to his planning. He got himself off the couch, getting a few things together and walking out.

"We're going to get him first." He said quietly before leaving. Gohan's eyes widened. Kibito nodded, watching the small man leave, and getting up and going after him.

"So soon? Do you know where he is?" Shin popped his head back through the door.

"Of course! He's lived in the same place for over 100,000 years!!" He popped back oiut of the door, heading down the hall.

When Karina and Videlle heard the news, they instantly got their things packed, and into fighting clothes. Shin stopped Karina mid walk on her way out the door.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"I'm going with, duh." He smiled at her, before pushing her back in. She pouted right after. "Why can't I go? You know I can beat him.." He put a finger out to hush her.

"A pretty lady like yourself doesn't need to be getting into fights.."

"Stop trying to protect me Shin. You know I can handle it." She put his hand back by his side. He stared at her accusingly. She stared back. Videlle smiled.

"That is so adorable.." She cuddled up to Gohan, who was just as amazed at it as she was a moment later. Karina continued to stare at him, untill she stared him down. He gave her a little hug, before moving to the lead of the group. She smiled at her victory, going over to Kibito happily. He ignored the whole argument, keeping his gaze at the sky.

"Let's go." Everyone started to leave when suddenly someone stopped them. It was Yoshika, a house maid, but also a respected teller of the future. She came up to Shin, putting a hand on his shouder, and handing him some strange equipment. She hugged him, before turning, walking a few steps, and turning around again. She waved her little hankercheif sadly.

"That'll come in handy. Please come back soon. There's no one guarding this palace." Shin nodded, turning to leave. They all took off into the sky. Gohan caled Nimbus for Videlle, knowing she couldn't make the whole flight on her own. He flew beside Kibito, while Karina was next to Shin the whole time. He over heard their conversation.

"Why can't you ever just once listen to me?"

"Just because I'm your wife doesn't mean I have to listen to you. And anyhow, who's going to cover your ass if everyone is out?" She smiled at him, who just cocked an eye. She gave him a little cuddle before looking about at the scenery.

A few hours of flight later, they landed at a strange place, that almost seemed like a divider between earth and space. A small world all of it's own. Shin landed, looking around. Everyone came after, totaly taken aback by this strange place.

"The middle lands. This is where we will go to find Mikone." Shin explained.

"Why would he live somewhere som desolant?" Videlle inquired. Shin shook his head.

"He doesn't live here. This is just a half-point. The kais had put this in millions of years ago, even before your technology was developed. It moniters both space and Earth. It was made by Shojoko, one of the first kais. He was a technilogical genius. It was a shame that he died so early in life." He sighed, going to the center of the large plot of technology. "Kibito, I'll need your help for this."

Kibito walked over, and Shin explained to him, then to the others what he planned to do.

"Shojoko was also a mastermind of teleportation. Everyone gather around. This station gives people the power to teleport anywhere in the universe. Yes, I know there is some technique for that, but this was before that was developed. And--I don't think any of you actually know how to teleport anyway." Gohan shrugged. "So, I'm going to attempt to get you all where we're going, with Kibito's help. I don't have enough power to get you all there. Only myself and another person. Combined power, along with everyone elses, should get us there, but I need your total cooperation." He became suddenly serious, as if in deep thought. "All of you must know where we're going." He sent a mental image of it, through everyone's mind, almost stunning Videlle.

"Woah!! What was that?!"

"That was where Mikone lives. Just remember that place, and know where you're going, and you'll get there. Gohan," He motioned for him to come closer.

"I'm giving you energy. It's only temporary, since you probably couldn't handle it for very long." Shin put out his hand. A small light grew in his palm, growing larger untill it was a few inches accross. Gohan just barely noticed the shaking hand the light was resting in. Gohan breathed deeply, letting the light penetrate him, feeling instantly the change in power level. He thought he could just go super saijan level 4 right there. "You're going to help get us out of here." He followed Shin's example, and they all pictured where they where going, and where there, moments later. Videlle almost screamed in amazement. Where where they?

"We're here." Kibito said in an almost tour guide like voice. "If you look to your left, you'll see the mountains of despair. Let's keep walking..." They went together, walking towards a giant building.

"So Kaioushin, when is this going to wear off?" The power was still lingering.

"It'll never wear down if you're carefull. Just harbor it down, untill you need it."

"Realy? That's neat." Shin nodded in agreement, before going over to Kibito to walk beside him.

"I remember this place looking much nicer a few hundred years ago."

"Yes, and much greener." They continued walking, when halfway to Mikone's home, Shin just fell over to the ground.

"What's the matter?!" Gohan ran over quickly.

"He's just tired from the traveling, and all that blood loss. He'll be up soon. Don't worry." Kibito picked him up, and they went on. A few minuted later, Shin had awoken, and was back to walking again. Videlle and Karina continued talking about make-up and things of that kind, while Shin decided to talk to Gohan. They where all fine, when something ran over Gohan. He jumped up quickly, finding a small orange cloud.

"Nimbus!? What are you doing here?" Shin looked up in amazement. How had that little cloud followed them? The cloud came down, scooping up Videlle. She laughed. It was about eye level with Shin, who looked at it curiously. He put a hand near it, pulling back quickly.

"That cloud is powerfull!"

"It's only Nimbus." Gohan assured him quickly. He was just as confused as how the cloud had gotten there, but now was no time to think about it. They where very close to Mikone's home, only feet actually. They stepped onto the grounds, walking to the door. Shin, of course, just walked in. The others followed cautiously. The group all turned around quickly, hearing a screetch. Something fell from the ceiling, pulling Gohan down with it...

Ohhh, evil cliff hanger....
