New Genesis: A new history unfolds...
When the Final War broke out, the world was devastated... The pollution from the mass use of plasma accellerators and ether redirection systems had mutated the surface and the lower atmosphere of the world, turning it into a wasteland of mutation and atrophy. The survivors had erected shelters and laboratroies to allow them to continue to survive and work on constructing underground mega-cities and stratasphere-level sky domes. Upon completion, the population had allocated themselves, according to their abilities and preferences, to the new territory of their choice.
Once settled, access tunnels were built between the two territories, named Asgard and Midgard (from ancient Norse mythos...). These tunnels allowed Asgard and Midgard to cooperate in restoring their civilization. This period of cohesiveness amongst peoples and its eventual boost in prosperity for the human race came to be known as the New Genesis. The new beginning.
