What is songfiction?
Songfiction is fanfiction based on the lyrics of a song (our guess being that you're expected to listen to that song while you read the fic, if you can). Most songfiction is pretty short, and usually you don't have to read the lyrics while reading the fanfic to understand what's going on. Meaning, if you want something short (and, usually, sappy) to read, songfiction is pretty nice.

Why a songfiction archive?
As we've already pointed out, there are already a lot of fanfiction archives out on the internet. These range from being general archives, to specifying in particular series, couples, or situations (we've even found an archive completely dedicated to crossovers). Looking over these sites, we noticed that no one has hit upon the idea of creating a songfiction archive (we think). Since we wanted to do something different, we created a songfiction archive (that, and M.E. was on a songfiction roll at the time).

Will you post my songfics?
Ano... it depends. We'd love to post your songfiction, except we do have certain standards that we have to hold to. We will not post your songfic if it is a lemon (sexually explicit). We don't have anything against yaoi or yuri fics (those dealing with homosexuality), so you can send those if you want! ^.^ Just e-mail them to M.E. or Rapunzel. One small warning, though. M.E. is really picky about the fics that she posts, so if you submit your fic, she'll most likely make her friends proofread it.

I have a songfic that I'd like to post, but you don't have any other fics from that series! Is it still okay if I send it?
Sure! The only reason we have a limited number of series is that we tend to post stuff that we've found while surfing the net looking for fics to read. Since we tend to read only a few series, most of the fics that we post are from a very small range of series. (e.g. This site has a large number of Gundam Wing, Yu*Yu*Hakusho, and Fushigi Yuugi songfics.)
