Author's Notes: Wow, my first song fic! Wai! WAI! Anyway, a bit about this song, it's sung by a Korean singer named Soo Young Lee and it's called "I Believe". I translated the lyrics but I'm not sure if everything is correct so if anything seems wrong or out of place, it's all my fault! ^^; Also, this is a Fushigi Yuugi songfic, not just because of the Chinese rhythm in the music (if you know what I'm talking about), but also because of the lyrics! It's SO Miaka/Tamahome! Insert usual disclaimers! Thanks to M.E. and Rapunzel for editing it for me! I Believe By Blue Jeans Are you thinking of that promise you made back then? I believe, I believe, I believe Would I recognize your changed appearance? And I believe, I believe, I believe I stand underneath the large tree, inhaling the sweet perfume or the flowers surrounding me. I believe that he will come soon, he will come, and he will remember that special promise. Even though I still feel the pain of my broken arm, I remember his voice promising me. With all my heart, I believe that the one who broke my arm was just an illusion. My disheveled hair flies in the wind and I feel cold. He will be here, for I believe in him. The day you left, I remember that on your empty desk, The folded note. Today is the day of our promise. I clutch the note Tamahome wrote to me, the note I discovered after he disappeared. 'Wo ai ni' he wrote to me, 'I love you'. He truly does love me. I know that you're not able to come I won't be able to see you any more Is there no longer a person who is you? I'm praying that I am wrong While waiting at the place of our promise I feel warm arms grasp me from behind. A soothing voice whispers into my ear, a beautiful voice that sooths me. I turn quickly and burrow myself into his embrace. "Just a minute Miaka," he whispers,"Tasuki and Chichiri aren't with you, are they?" My heart falls and I pull away. This- can't be! He doesn't know that Tasuki came along! No, I can turn him around, I believe that he loves me! When I fist met you, I knew we were meant to be I believe, I believe, I believe Even though I didn't say it and chase you And I believe, I believe, I believe "Look Tamahome, this letter, you wrote this for me. You wrote 'Wo ai ni'. Do you remember?" I carefully hand him the note. Yes, this will work, I will have the man I love back!" "I wrote this?" "Yes! Yes you did!" He looks over it and reads slowly,"Wo ai ni." He smiles, my heart soars. Your sorrowful face When I knew the reason You just stayed in that sad position I want to hear from, The person who told me the reason he laughed Where are you now? He rips the note in two. I gasp and he smiles, he knows that he is slowly ripping my heart along with the paper. He rips it again, and again, and again until its in tiny shreds and he sends them flying in the wind. I realize just now that Tamahome is gone. His sweet, gentle smile twists into a bleak smirk as he sees my knees tremble and I fall to the ground. The tears flow freely down my cheeks as I raise my head to the sky. "HE'S GONE!!!" I know you're not able to come I won't be able to see you forever Is there no longer a person who is you? I'm praying that I am wrong While waiting at the place of our promise. "Die," is the last thing I hear as everything suddenly goes black. Contact Blue Jeans at: zel_ko07@hotmail.com.
