Kagome, from present-day Japan, lives with her family in an ancestral shrine. On her birthday, her grandpa gave her a glass ball named the Shikon no Tama and told her it would be lucky. Kagome of course was disbelieving. She went into the little house that held a concealed well. From there she was pulled through time to the feudal era and met up with a dog demon by the name of Inu Yasha. Together they must collect the shards of the shattered Shikon no Tama.
