This is one of the hottest stories out there. (concerning Sailor Moon anyway) Disney is in the process of trying to buy the rights to Sailor Moon from DiC so that they can make a live action film out of it. Ledgend has it that they already have a pretty good idea of who will be in the cast. SOS has been in contact with Geena Davis (they call her "The Queen") the woman who is supposedly going to play Queen Baryl. You can check out that story direct from SOS here.
In other news, the Save Our Sailors foundation has set up a procott campaign, so please participate. It's the exact opposite of boycotting a product. Their reasoning is the more we buy of Sailor Moon products, the more that the coorporations will notice SM and the more popular it will become. It's worth a shot. We just have to keep the faith.
Rumors have been going around that DiC is seriously considering dubbing the Stars season of Sailor Moon after SOS had an online conference. Let's hope they REALLY listened.

This is the part that I put my two cents in where it doesn't belong. On the issue of Disney getting the rights, I really hope they do. Let's face it, with all of these cheap sequels they're putting out, they need a new idea. This is the perfect opportunity. Not only is it a hot japeneese series, but there's the total option of sequels here. If they got it, I think they'd do a good job. Keep your fingers crossed everybody!
As for the procott campaign, I'm a little shaky on the idea, but hey! Everything's worth a try! I think that SOS is putting their best foot forward. I know that all of my news for this time involved SOS, but they do play a very important role in what we do.
On the subject of dubbing the Stars, I hope they do. Not only am I dying to see it in English, but Sailor Moon needs its spot on tv back as soon as possible. In my opinion, they're losing press and advertisement by the second, so they should get moving!
