Act V: So much confusion Munenori walks down the hallway of the establishment. He walks by Akari rooms and says to himself, "You know, I have not seen Akari lately. I should check in on my cousin." Munenori knocks on the door and only gets a groggy, "What is it?" from Akari. "It's your cousin," Munenori answers. "What do you want?" Akari asks. Munenori continues talking through the door, "Well, I have not seen you around recently. Is something wrong?" "I'm just sick, leave me alone." Munenori shrugs his shoulders and continues walking. After his ship took off from Charon, Kourou handed control of his ship to his next in command. He then went to the rooms to check up on Aritsune. He knocks once and enters her room. She is not quite asleep, but very tired. "How are you doing?" he asks politely as he sits next to her on the bed. "I don't know. I feel different." she answers. "Do you remember anything at all?" "No." "Does anyone else know you are here?" "I don't know. I do not feel like answering questions right now, okay?" "That's okay." Kourou stands and moves to exit the room. "No, wait," Aritsune pleads, grabbing on to his sleeve. "What is it?" he questions. "I don't want to be alone." "Um..." "Please, stay with me." "Okay." Kourou sits next to her again. He stays there and quietly talks with her until she goes asleep before going back to checking on his crew. A day passes and Munenori begins to wonder where Aritsune is. He thinks to himself as he sits in his room, I have not been in a fight for awhile now. Where are my friends disappearing to? Akari is sick from something, Aritsune is not here. Munenori walks out of his room. He heads toward Akari's room. Once he is outside her door he knocks on it. He gets the same groggy response as he did from the previous day. "Hey, have you seen Aritsune anywhere?" "What? No. I have been in here, too sick to go out. Why do you care? All the two of you do is fight?" Munenori is surprised at her hostile verbal assault. "Still, I have not seen her." "Well I don't know." "Fine." "Fine." Munenori leaves and goes back to his room. Kourou guides his ship back into Europa. The ship's crew gets to work on taking care of the ship's maintenance. While they do so, Kourou helps Aritsune get out of the ship. She is a little dizzy and Kourou feels she needs a little medical attention. He brings her to one of the better medical facilities to be checked. While Aritsune is receiving her examination, Kourou waits for her thinking about what has happened. This is a strange occurrence. Why does she not know anything of what has happened to her? She seems so helpless. I wish there was more I could do for her. After a short while Aritsune comes out and Kourou speaks with the doctor. "Is there anything wrong?" Kourou asks. "No, I see nothing wrong with her," the doctor answers. "Well, okay, thank you." Kourou helps Aritsune out of the building. "I will walk you home if you want," he says. "I don't really want to go back to that little room," she responds. "Huh?" "Where are you staying?" Aritsune asks. "Well, knowing that I am going to be here awhile, I purchased a little place on the outskirts of this settlement." "That sounds like a nice place. Is it?" "I guess so. I have not completely made it my own yet. It needs a little more decorating." "Would you mind if I....stayed at your place? It's so lonely here." she politely asks Kourou. "Um, well, I guess so. It is a little lonely here, but I'm used to it. I never really made to many strong acquaintances." "Well, then I'll keep you company," Aritsune replies happily. "Okay." Munenori has continued looking around the place where he has been staying and is starting to get a little worried. As it nears the early morning hours, he gives up and decides to go back to his room. On his way there he finds Akari walking down the hall. "Hey!" Munenori exclaims. "Feeling better?" "Guess so," Akari answers. "Where are you headed?" "I'm hungry, I'm gong to get something to eat." "Isn't it a little late to be eating?" he asks. "I don't care." Akari retorts. "I'm hungry." "Well, the cafeteria won't be open." "Then I'll go out and get something to eat." "You want to go out at this time of night?" "I'm hungry." "I guess so, but it's dangerous out there." "I can take care of myself." "Well, just be careful." "Fine, bye." Akari hurries past him as Munenori thinks to himself, this is odd behavior for Akari. And why has she been so angry all the time? Aritsune wakes up at Kourou's house. She gets up and walks around her room looking out of her window. Outside it is the same eerie darkness that normally accompanies a settlement on a planet's moon. Still in the clothes she had been wearing the last couple days she leaves her room and finds Kourou eating breakfast. She sits down next to him. "Don't you usually eat at that building where we were staying at?" Aritsune asks. "Well, I'm not staying there now. I'm staying here at my own place. And although I would usually eat on my way to work since I'm usually running behind, I decided that the empire could be run with just two leaders instead of three for today. This way, I can make sure you are okay." "Well, thank you." Kourou motions to where Aritsune can get something to eat and she begins her breakfast beside him. "Are you feeling better today?" Kourou asks. "Yeah." "That's good." "This is a nice little place you have," Aritsune comments about Kourou's house. "Well, I haven't exactly been spending too much time here so it's not like there is much to look at." Kourou looks up from his food and finds himself staring into Aritsune's eyes as she says, "There are enough beautiful things to look at already." Kourou drops his head and coughs a little. "Well, I think I am finished with my breakfast. Feel free to make yourself at home. I do have one little assignment I must get done today. So I will see you a little later." Slightly disenchanted Aritsune replies, "Okay, see you later then." Kourou leaves the house. He begins thinking to himself, what was that all about? ‘there are enough beautiful things to look at'? What did she mean by that? What do I think about it? Could she be...could I be...I don't need this right now, I'm just going to forget about it.
