Here's Matt, a very wraped up character with many hidden faces and emotions. Matt's personality is discribed as cold and rebelious, but inside that handsome face lies a warm hearted lost character. He's indeed not the type of person to get emotional, he feels to keep it all in and hope it would vanish.
Matt's a very independent character and likes to do everything his own way and despises Tai being the "leader", this has lead to increasing verbal and physical fights with Tai. Being somewhat anti-social and a rebel at heart, Matt doesn't follow orders well. He especially doesn't enjoy taking orders from Tai. He regularly questions Tai's leadership. Matt dislikes showing his feelings and always having to listen to Tai, because he's sucks at taking orders and expressing himself without fighting and admitting his feelings. Other then that, Matt is considered the "cool" one of the group. Deep inside hes sensitive, protective loyal and introspective, his first loyalty lies with his friends, wich earned him the Crest of Friendship. Even though Matt always seems serious, he has his funny side with the sense of humor, no matter how serious the situation gets Matt will always manage to pull out some kind of sarcastic or witty crack. His jokes can sometimes be offensive. He'll critisize or laugh at his fellows, probably to keep up with his reputation and protect his vulnerable side.
Matt often worries for his little bro, T.K., and close friends, although he never shows it. Matt usually vents his frustrations with physical violence, rather then verbal language. By hiding his fears, Matt becomes overly defensive. Take a shot at Matt,his little bro, or Gabumon, and you'll get a fistfull of that violence courtsey of Matt.
Matts familly is an apart type relationship,his parents are divorced and his bro lives with his mom. Matt seems to mind about all this, wich is why he is over protective of T.K. When Matt feels upset or down he goes and plays the main instrument that represents his sadness, his Harmonica. In season 02, Matt drops his harmonica for an electric bass guitar which he plays and is lead vocalist in his band "The Teenage Wolves."
