Kari is Tai's little sister and the "mysterious" Eighth Chosen Child. She was supposed to come to camp with Tai, but she stayed home with a cold. Becasue of this, she didn't go to the Digiworld with the others until later.She is never without her trusty whistle, which she wears around her neck and gave to Gatomon on the last episode of season 01 (54). Kari is somewhat of a sickly child, and constantly comming down with viruses. Her fevers and colds, though, would not stunt her constant caring nature for everyone else. She is the most thoughtful digidestined, always worrying about everyone else and making sure everyone, but herself, is AOK.She is also always the one to make first contact with all these strange extraterrestrial beings such as that Light thing that took possession of her to explain the origins of the Digi-Destined, and her Crest allows her to give power to Digimon through a glowing light and the Scubamon ("His Master's Voice) obviously because of her crest of Light. Kari is very mature for her small age. She never panics during a situation and tries to fix the problem passively. She's sweet and good tempered, but don't push her too far! She isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and isn't afraid to sacrifice herself for the good of others. Kari's also very patient for a child, never whining or complaining for other then an important reason. She tends to keep all of her feelings inside, so no one gets hurt but her. By keeping everything inside, it makes Hikari vulnerable to the world of darkness.
