Storm

The next week I decided to take the day off while Goku and Piccolo trained with Gohan. Goku had handed me some money to buy my wiccan supplies I guess he thought it was time. I did prefer training in a group we were just sparring that way we didn’t end jumping each other, especially with Gohan and Piccolo round. But I was slowing the three of them down. So it was just me that day doing my thing.
I landed on the outskirts of South City and I walked in to the streets I saw ol’ Hercule coming out with Videl holding her hand. She was such a cute girl. Not very girl like she was dressed pretty tomboyish. But still a cute kid. Hercule looked at me as I walked past. I knew his eyes were on the ‘furry belt’ I wore round my black miniskirt. I wore it with my Yardrat shirt tied up at the front. I stopped and turned round looking at him he smiled at me.
World’s strongest my ass’ I thought and smiled back ‘I could beat you to a pulp with one hand tied behind my back.’
“Dad... c’mon lets go...” Videl whined. She was the same age as Gohan and she was a really very adorable.

Hercule picked her up and put her on his shoulder and she smiled.
“She’s a cute girl.” I remarked.
He looked at me and walked up to me.
“Dad no. Don’t pick up anymore girls.” Videl whined. “It’s you and me day remember? Besides it’s embarrassing.” She added.
I looked at Videl. It was obvious her daughter was going to be as impulsive as she already was. Pan I hoped I would meet her she was an idol for alot of girls who liked Dragonball. I had never seen an episode with Videl or Pan in them myself but I was still inspired by the two of them.
“I know almost everybody in this town and I haven’t seen you here before.” he said.
“I uh... I’m from out of town. And I’m picking up some supplies and visting a couple of friends.” I replied.
“Oh really who? They might of heard of me.” Hercule said.
Ergh this guy is such an egoist I thought Vegeta was bad, or even Krillen with Roshi’s glasses, but no this guy thinks he is it. And the problem is the rest of the world in this dimension thinks so too, except the obvious people in the z-team.
“Bulma Briefs and her boyfriend Yamcha.” I replied.
He blinked. “You know them?”
“Yeah when I arrived to this country a few weeks back. Anyway nice to meet you... um Mr... ah. person.” I replied.
“Hercule.” He said. “Heard of me?” He asked.
I nodded. “Oh yeah sure. You’re world’s champion or something? I don’t really follow wrestling used to until I found out it was rigged. So yeah.” I replied.
“It’s martial arts.” He corrected.
I smiled. “Yeah that too.” I nodded. I could tell by his facial features that he wasn’t impressed with me anymore. “Well nice to meet you Mr. Hercule. Hope you and your daughter have a good day together.” I remarked and continued on my way.
“Dad she just shot you down.” Videl remarked sounding surprised.
I smiled to myself and made on my way.

I looked at the various shops trying to find a wiccan store. But the problem with this damn dimension everything was written in Japanese. That of which I used to despise. I sighed almost wanting to give up when I felt a presence behind me I stopped and turned round I blinked as I saw Vegeta land.
Now how’d he know I was here?’ I thought.
“I thought I felt your power level in town girl.” He smirked.
“Leave me alone Vegeta I’m just doing some shopping.” I replied.
“I heard your conversation with that baboon. So you weren’t planning on paying me a visit were you?” He asked.
I leant up against the side of a hardware store and looked at Vegeta.
“No for your information I wasn’t. I don’t like you.” I said.
Vegeta walked up to me pinning me up against the store. Always for force I guess he wanted to see my reaction or get one out of me.
“You can’t keep quiet forever.”
“Get back you creep.” I pushed him away and I walked in to the hardware store hurriedly where there were people and hopefully Vegeta wouldn’t follow.
“You should run.” I heard his voice comment before I disappeared fully in to the store.

I had to keep away from him. I’d read plenty enough on Vegeta and Bulma’s situation if I were to enter no Trunks. But yet Trunks expected me to split Bulma and Yamcha up. I stopped as saw a long white rope and I opened my list and smiled.
“Who needs a wiccan store.” I remarked and grabbed the rope.
“Can I help you?” A male voice asked me and I turned round to see a store worker. “Actually yes you can. you see I was given this list of stuff to get and well I was wondering if you had...” I looked a the list. “Candles you know for black outs, matches or lighters. I found the white rope. So yeah. Do you?” I asked.
The man smiled. “We do. follow me.”
I grinned and carried the rope and followed the man. Strange how much fast attention you get in a mini skirt. Even in an animated reality. It was so much faster than the real reality. I bet you the guy was wondering what I was up to there were too many guys in this store. I must of been the first female customer of the day.
The man showed me the candles and I looked at them just my luck too they had all sorted candles in different colors. I grabbed a carton of fifty match boxes. They’re not the kiwi ‘Beehive’ brand I get but they’ll do.
I grabbed a white candle. White candles are all purpose magick candles they do wonders. I also grabbed a green candle for healing. I knew I was going to need that to heal my heart. A red candle for creativity and blue candle for peace and wisdom. The spell one of my own creation I walked up the counter and placed the items on there and the man looked at me and smiled.
“So what is all this stuff for?” He asked at my strange choice of objects, candles matches rope I swear it must f looked like some weird sort of bondage stuff. “Supplies and stuff. Just moving in to town and things.” I lied.
“Oh well I hope to see you later then.” The man smiled as I handed him the money and he gave me the bag of my bought items and my change with a receit.

I walked out of the store and I looked round Vegeta’s power level had vanished. That or he lowered it so I wouldn’t find him. Now all I had to do was find a super market for some tea bags and some ingredients and incense. Gah it’s evil not know where the local witch shop is. But I guess in this reality witches were overly secret.
I looked both sides of the road before crossing the road.

I jogged in to the super market and I wandered through the supermarket to the tea isle. I heard machine gun fire suddenly and I looked out from one of my isles to see a tv screen advertising some violent movie and I let out a sigh of relief.
“I’m so jumpy.” I muttered. “I gotta calm down. Three years till the big attack not three minutes.” I added softly.
I looked at the different styles of tea and I frowned. Candles matches and rope were easy to find but tea. They had hardly any English language on them.
“Need a hand.” a familiar voice remarked behind me.
Was this my day to meet people or what? I turned round and smiled.
“You could read the labels for me I’m not familiar with this language.” I smiled.

Yamcha looked at me he had his own grocery basket I didn’t.
“What are you looking for?” he asked.
“Mint, peppermint or spearmint. Any of the three they do the same thing.” I replied.
Yamcha looked at me confused. “Same thing?” he asked.
“I’m getting witchy supplies.” I whispered.
“Oh.” he nodded and picked one packet off the shelf that was above my reach. “Uh mint. Here ya go.” he replied handing me the small packet.
I took it and looked round. “Anything else you’re looking for?” he asked me.
I opened the list and looked at it. “hmmm peaches, apples, marshmallows, some thyme, incense, some safety pins, scissors and a little mirror.” I replied reading off the rest of the list.

Yamcha blinked. “What is all that for? If you don’t mind me asking.”
“Well peaches are for granting realistic wishes, apples are for immortality, marshmallows are for healing and friendship, thyme is for psychic powers and courage and safety pins are for protection, scissors for the cutting spells ya know, and the mirror is for me I don’t have one.” I explained.
I saw Yamcha sweatdrop at the last one. “That’s some list.” He replied. “You better make sure Goku doesn’t eat half of the stuff.” He joked.
I looked at Yamcha. That was actually part of my plan after performing the actual spell I was going to cook up some stuff to help break the bond if the rope didn’t work. I just had to find Piccolo and make sure he got Gohan out of the house for the day and I had to Get Goku alone. “Well of course it’s for eating the best spells are the ones you can eat. It helps, eating is also a way of grounding energy where I come from.” I replied.
Yamcha nodded. “Well c’mon I’ll help you out here.” He smiled.
I smiled back and saw him blush. Was he falling for me already? I was curious about this. But I didn’t want to make any move, I’d wait for a sign that Bulma was falling for Vegeta, then maybe I would. But I wondered how I was suppose to end up at capsule corp. to do the break up thing.

After we got my bits and pieces I paid for them and Yamcha for what ever he was grabbing. He walked with me back to Capsule Corp. I’d told him I was going to pay him and Bulma a visit. I’d explained about Vegeta stalking me earlier. So Yamcha offered to walk me there.
“So how’s the training going?” He asked breaking the silence that had fallen between us as we were walking.
“Oh Piccolo kicked my ass the other day. Ergh I’m suppose to be saiyan and a namek kicked my ass. You know how frustrating that is?” I asked.
Yamcha looked at me. “So you’re not as strong as you made yourself out to be huh?” I smiled sheepishly. “No. I’m probably quite weak I don’t know I have no way of checking my power level. Vegeta crushed my scouter.”

Yamcha smiled. “Well have you trained with king ki?” He asked.
I looked at him and shook my head. “There’s nothing like that in my world.”
“Oh?” He asked.
“As a witch we believe in many different forms of an afterlife depending on what belief or religion you belong to. For example the kingdom of Osiris, is Egyptian, before the times of Coptic. Then there’s Hindu Yama rides round collecting souls with his noose. And Greek it is believed that the souls go down to Hades.” I explained. “Many different plains where I come from. I hadn’t exactly chosen my pantheon, so I guess this is why I’m here. No pantheon, no belief, no where for my soul to go.”
Yamcha nodded. “So our world could be a form of afterlife for you in itself?” “Bingo, being that here since I’m already dead I’ve been given immortality until my next incarnation.” I explained.

We walked up to the Capsule Corp. Building. I was amazed by the actual size of the place compared to Goku’s home.
Yamcha opened the door for me and I stepped inside.
“Yamcha what took you so long?!” Bulma exclaimed and she came storming out and she smiled when she saw me. “Oh Lee! We weren’t expecting you.”

Yamcha entered and closed the door. “I got what you wanted Bulma. I found Lee in the supermarket getting some supplies for herself.” He smiled.
“Oh wow I love that skirt.” Bulma grinned. “Where’d you get it from?”
“I got it from a little store called Glasson’s, where I come from.” I replied.
“Well Vegeta’s training so you’re lucky.” Bulma smiled.
“I wasn’t earlier.” I sighed. “Creep must of been stalking me.”
“Oh.” Bulma looked surprised.
“Anyways I came here to see you. Goku, Gohan and Piccolo are training. I wanted the day off but Chi-chi was in one of her moods. So I decided to um go.” I replied.
“Oh if you get tired of her, You know you can stay here.” Bulma offered.
“I might do that. When Gohan starts to beat me to the ground.” I replied.
“Well we should make a date where you me and Chi-chi can get together and do some serious shopping. I’m sure you need some more clothes.” Bulma remarked.
“Er I kinda need a job to get money. I mean heck this stuff I bought was with Goku’s money not mine.” I explained.
“Nonsense. I’ll buy you some clothes.” She remarked.

I looked at Bulma. “Are you sure that’s a good idea. I mean I’d feel really bad.”
“Oh don’t worry. If you want I could talk to my dad and get you a job here at Capsule Corp.” Bulma offered.
“Really with my lack of job experience?” I asked.
Bulma smiled and nodded. “For sure.” She replied.
“What type of work did you do in your world?” Yamcha asked.
“Er retail at an outdoor store.” I replied “And I worked in the computer department of a bulk buy supermarket.”
“Nothing else?” Yamcha asked.
“No I was pretty much at school, film college, and university the rest of the time.” “Film college?” Bulma asked.
“Yeah. That was my mother’s idea.” I frowned.

I spent most of the afternoon chatting away to Bulma in the lounge. It was pretty cruisey. No Vegeta in sight, he was in his capsule trying to surpass Goku as normal. While Yamcha was outside training with Puar cheering him on. Bulma was glad for the company I think. Her mother stopped by the bakery and bought some sweet stuff back I was hungry but only had one little cake thing, I spent more time staring at the animated perfection of it.
“Aren’t you hungry dear?” Bulma’s mother asked me.
“Oh it’s just strange I’m not used to this sort of food.” I remarked.
Well I was I just wasn’t used to the world itself everything was like a cardboard world it was odd.
“Oh that’s right Bulma told me you’re a saiyan. It’s good to know that there are a few female saiyans left.” She smiled behind her forever shut eyes.
“Last female saiyan that I know of.” I replied. Why had I ever picked to be one of the last of a dying race. I guess I didn’t, it just flashed in my mind and it happened. I ate the little sweet thing and looked round the room.

Doc was also in the room the conversation spun round Vegeta and his determination. I looked down at my animated hands and the rings on my fingers. ‘I wish I had that saiyan determination.’ I thought. ‘I wish I was a full saiyan. With witch like abilities.’ It was then there was a loud explosion ringing from the back yard.
Me and Bulma ran outside meeting up with Yamcha along the way.
“Vegeta!” Bulma cried out.
Yamcha was heading there running with us.
We saw the wreck that once was Vegeta’s training capsule.
“Damn!” I exclaimed.
Bulma knelt down by the wreck.
“I knew this would happen he’s been trying to do the impossible.” Yamcha remarked.
I looked at the wreck it wasn’t much but it still covered where ever Vegeta was under the rubble. ‘At least he’s not going to be stalking me.’ I thought.
And so I saw the beginning of Bulma’s feelings slipping out for Vegeta.
“Where is he? Vegeta?” Bulma said worriedly and she began going through the rubble. Me and Yamcha stood close by. I knelt down and began to help Bulma.
Bulma began pulling rocks to the side as I helped then out of nowhere Vegeta’s hand shot out of the rubble. Bulma let out a startled cry jumping backwards in to Yamcha the two of them falling over quiet comically.
I began to pull the rocks off from where his hand was. Suddenly he pulled himself out of the rubble.
“You okay?” Bulma asked softly.
Vegeta looked at her. “Of course I am.” He replied his voice shaken up.
He stood up and I backed off a little to give him room. No use in messing the beginning of that relationship.
Bulma let out a relieved breath. I always love how they do that in anime’s. She then snapped at Vegeta. “How dare you! You dweeb! You almost wrecked my house. What are you trying to prove?!” She growled.
I looked at Vegeta standing there. I saw all the cuts and bruises my tail twitched. I didn’t like the way he looked. He looked pretty badly hurt.
Vegeta attempted a laugh then he fell over backwards.
Bulma looked suddenly shocked. “What? Oh no!” She jumped to her feet running to Vegeta’s aid. I stepped back next to where Yamcha was still sitting from when he had fallen over. I looked at the two. They did make quiet a cute couple.
“You’re hurt.” Bulma added scooping Vegeta’s head up in to her arms. It was definite love and caring I saw in her eyes. I looked at Yamcha. I wondered if he saw it to. He just looked on not saying anything. Poor guy this was the beginning on where he would lose Bulma.
“No I don’t need help. I’ve got training to do.” He said his voice sounded almost like he was dying. I swallowed. If I had known that this was the day he would over do himself I would of warned him. But then again I probably wouldn’t of I’d done enough already by opening my mouth about the number of androids.
“You’ve got to stop training for a while. I mean look at you you’re a complete wreck.” Bulma scolded looking in to Vegeta’s face.
Does he see it?’ I thought. I’d always wondered how they actually got together.
“But I feel fine. I’m a saiyan. I can take a little pain, it means nothing to me. And I have to get stronger than Kakarott.” Vegeta said his voice sounded strained.
Yamcha looked at me looking at Vegeta. I don’t know why but as arrogant as he was I admired his determination and his pride. Something I’d always liked. And there was something about an injured Vegeta that made me want to be Bulma at that stage and help him. But I didn’t help, I stayed out of the way. I would do nothing that could jeopardise Trunks existence.
“Okay sure. We all know you’re a tough guy. But you need to rest now.” Bulma said her face was sympathetic.
I looked to Yamcha he was standing up. Still wearing his gi. He was looking onward not to know what to make of the situation. I couldn’t see jealously in his face. I couldn’t really see anything. I looked down to the ground.
“I take orders from no one.” Vegeta remarked trying to move. He managed it a little bit til he fell over on the ground again.
“Oh no.” Bulma went to Vegeta’s aid.

I spent a few more hours at Capsule Corp. Bulma had me to bitch to about Vegeta’s stubbornness he’d only been in bed a few hours and already he was back to training. Yamcha was off training again. After a while Bulma had calmed down and showed me how to use those nifty little capsule thingies getting my shopping in to bags. I gave her a hug and promised her we’d go shopping in a couple of days. I knew I’d use the day Piccolo and Goku go for their licences as an escape while they were learning to drive I’d get some new clothes. Seemed like a pretty sweet deal to me.

I arrived back at Goku’s place just on sunset to see Piccolo floating in the sky while Goku and Gohan went hard out. I sighed my power was no where as strong as theirs. They had been training their entire lives I hadn’t how was I going to get strong enough. Mentally I knew I couldn’t but perhaps I could edge myself along with a little spell I smirked at that though. I wouldn’t train for the androids I’d train for further along. I’d train to fight Cell. I know Gohan defeats him but I wanted a shot at him too. I walked inside and Chi-chi was just putting the vegetables on to cook. She looked at me. I wasn’t sure if she was mad or anything.
“So did you have a good day?” She asked me as I sat down at the table.
“Yeah I had fun watching Vegeta nearly kill himself it was a good day.” I smiled.
“You trained with Vegeta?” Chi-chi asked me. She sat down giving a glass of juice and a cup of tea for herself.
“Oh no I just watched him nearly destroy himself. Watched Yamcha train a bit too. Then spent most of the time letting Bulma bitch to me about how stubborn Vegeta is. He injured himself hours later he’s out of bed and back out training.” I took a sip of the juice letting the coolness of it sooth my throat from breathing dry air while flying. So while the vegetables were cooking I sat and talked to Chi-chi she’s actually pretty nice in person. Well some of time when you don’t say the wrong thing.
“Why weren’t you out training with those Gohan and those two muscle bound oafs?” She asked me before taking a sip of her tea.
I looked at Chi-chi. “In all honestly. I’m just a girl and I can’t keep up with them. It’s extremely frustrating. I’m suppose to be saiyan and I can’t even keep up with your son.” I shook my head. “I need more time for this. Three years isn’t long enough.”
Chi-chi looked at me. “Have you even thought about what you want to do in this world, after these androids?” She asked me.
I looked at her stunned. “Um no I haven’t. As daft as it is. I should but I keep getting the feeling I’ll be going home after that. I never thought about what I want to do with my life after that.” I replied.
Chi-chi looked at me. “Well if you weren’t saving the world then what do you see yourself doing?” She asked me.
I shrugged. “Something in the arts area, a photographer, artist or perhaps a film maker. I don’t really know.” I replied.
Chi-chi took another sip of her tea and me of my juice, we sat there in silence for a long time while the guys still continued to train outside.
