Storm

Everyone one got knocked around by these Cell jnrs. For small guys they sure were tough. I noticed that no one could finish them off though. So I took the direct route and put together the techniques I’d learned from all of the Z team together in to one. It was the same the sound blaster attack but with the small difference the light show wasn’t a light show it was another version of Piccolo’s scatter shot technique fused with everyone else’s special techniques. Powering up the Cell jnr stood there and laughed at me. The cheek huh? I saw Cell looking my way.
“How annoying. She’s still got all that energy left and she’s wasting it. Pity really.” Gohan blinked he was stuck frozen watching everyone get their asses kicked. I kept powering up. “BLASTER FIRE!!!” I shouted sending the millions of ki attacks converging towards the Cell jnr. the music roared out some nice loud feel good pop music of Mary-J Blige’s ‘Family Affair’- it wasn’t kiwi music but that’s all I had on my mind at the time.

Let's get it crunk, we gon' have fun Up on in this, dance for me We got ya open, now ya floatin' So you gots to dance for me Don't need no hateration, holleratin' In this dance for me Let's get it percolatin', while you're waiting So just dance for me...

The Cell jnr stopped and blinked he covered his ears at the level and then noticed the oncoming attack suddenly they all hit home trapping the cell jnr amongst them. I held my hand up and flung it upwards. The cell jnr caught in the middle of those ki balls was trapped. And I bounced him round like a little basket ball with the direction of my hand. See Sokidan it is a handy technique of Yamcha’s fused with the right moves. I then flung it so high in the air and I crushed my fist and it exploded in a brilliant mass of light. The pieces of the Cell jnr landed on the ground and I held my hand out to the ground calling upon my element of earth the ground shook and opened up and swallowed the pieces just in case they were like Cell and could regenerate. The ground closed up and I looked over at the group. The rest of them weren’t doing so well. They were still alive though that was a bonus.

I looked over at Cell and he glared directly at me. He looked pretty pissed.
“I really have to kill her soon. She’s getting in the way.” Cell remarked.
Cell just looked my way and he smiled at me. There was something behind that smile- I recognised it instantly. ‘My vision!’ I thought. ‘No not now.’
Goku looked over at like he heard my thought. I looked back at Goku and he shook his head. “Lee don’t!” He shouted at me.
I looked down at Cell and he motioned me forward with the beckon of a finger. Taking in a breath I jumped off the cliff and walked up to Cell and he looked at me. He looked to Gohan. “Now Gohan you will show me this ultimate power or she too like this android will die. I know you feel for her. Now show me this power or she dies NOW!” Cell shouted. He was changing the script even from my vision.
I looked over to the pieces of android Sixteen scattered everywhere.
“Leona!” I heard Yamcha shout at me.
The brief distraction made me turn to look at Yamcha before he was clobbered to the ground and with that I felt Cell grab me round the neck and pull me up to him.
“You think you’re such hot shit don’t you?” I asked Cell.
He looked down at me and I smirked up at him.
“Shut up girl or I will break you like a twig.” he said. There was a threat laid down on the table but instead of accepting it I rammed my elbow back in to his stomach and I jumped back as he let go and I saw Gohan look at me.
“Gohan this is your fight now. Goku believes in you. I do to now make us proud.”
“You’re already at that level though Lee.” Gohan said. “You could defeat him Lee. Please don’t make me.” He added.
I saw behind those teal eyes that of a boy a scared child.
“Gohan I can’t- you saw what happened before, But you- when you reach the level you will be stronger than even me. I have the power to hold Cell off but I don’t have the power to finish him off. At least not alone. Goku saw this that’s why he picked you.” I replied before jumping up in to the sky and landing back on the side of the cliff I grabbed a cell junior by the neck and pulled it off Yamcha and threw it to the side. I helped Yamcha up and he looked up at me.
“Lee why did you go to Cell. He could of killed you?!” Yamcha exclaimed.
“I had to let Gohan know he can do it.” I said.
I saw Cell look at me and then he pointed a finger at me.
“Shit!”
The purple pink streak of energy shot out. I saw it head towards me.
“LEE!” I heard Goku shout at me as this beam of energy reached even closer and for some reason I was frozen and couldn’t move.
“I can’t move! Not again!” I powered up my aura flashing fighting the hold. But no matter what I couldn’t move. “I’m not going down like this.”

I closed my eyes to stop the sight of the beam heading towards me and with a sudden jolt I felt it strike all the way through me and whatever control over my body Cell had it stopped and I just fell back I felt myself being caught and I looked up.
“Lee.” Yamcha held me in one arm he was sitting on the ground his other arm broken.
“Yamcha.” I smiled at him. ‘Talk about a deja vu.’ I thought.
“You’ll be okay just hold on.” Yamcha said as he was holding me up and I was resting in his arm and I looked to the charging cell junior I held my hand up and with a single blast I stopped it’s attack. Blasting it backwards in a spiral. Yamcha was in no condition to fight and neither was I but I had the ability of both my arms.
“Lee don’t use your energy.” Yamcha touched the side of my face. “We’ll get help and you’ll be okay. I promise you, just hang on.”
I looked down at the hole it was smallish but I knew it had penetrated right through my entire body. But Cell he didn’t have the sensu beans there was still a chance.
Goku grabbed the bag and he threw it over before and Cell jnr charged and nailed him in the side sending him flying. “YAMCHA!! CATCH!!”
Yamcha went to move when Cell phased out and in front of him and caught the bag.
“I wouldn’t if I were you.” He remarked at Yamcha and looked at me and he grinned. “I’m sorry Leona. Perhaps Gohan will reach his true ability now. But you- I suggest you pray to those Gods of yours so you can at least live to see it.” He added.
I glared at Cell. “You just go back to Gohan you’ll see what you’re really up against. Once he reaches the second level.”
Cell chuckled. “I’m counting on it.” He phased out.
Yamcha looked at me worriedly. “Lee. Just hang on.”

This was not a very good situation- now Cell held the sensu beans the Dragonballs wouldn’t bring me back either. But I tried to look on the light side of the situation.
“I’m okay. Geez what a lousy shot.” I coughed. I touched the side of my and looked at the blood. I knew I was in shock the realisation of what had happened, it was just to unbelievable. First fighting a heart virus that was sure to kill me, now this- I was dying again. I saw Yamcha look at me with sympathy.
“Lee.” I saw Trunks look over his face clouded with confusion.
I should warn him of his would be his fate too. I did in my vision why not here?
“You watch out Trunks. When you all think Cell is gone he isn’t.” I looked at him.

“Stop doing that Lee. Stop telling the future.” Yamcha looked at me. He looked worried. I saw Goku looking over his expression one of worry also.
“There are the dragonballs.” Trunks remarked.
I shook my head. “No- won’t work. Trust me. Find Iris tell her to find Chhaya. They’ll bring me back. I just hope I don’t come back evil. If I do just kill me.”
Yamcha looked at me. “Don’t talk like that.”
Well of course I was in enormous pain so I was going to talk like that.
I watched Goku walk over and he knelt down and looked at me.
“You’re in our world now Lee. We’ll make sure you come back. Just rest don’t waste your energy.” Goku said.
I leant back in to Yamcha’s arms and looked at Goku. “If Vegeta can do it so can I.”
I saw Vegeta look at me. He simply nodded. I looked at him. Was he actually acknowledging me? I’d finally earned that admitted respect. Typical. Death seems to do that for the guy. I looked up at Yamcha as I rested my head on his shoulder and then I looked at Goku. For a moment our eyes locked.
See you on the other side.’ I thought.
Goku looked at me and I think he heard me cause all he did was nod.
I shuddered I’d only been like this once before. An accident that had made me fall in to shock thinking I was dying in the arms of my mother. A car accident of all things I had been hit by a car. Hense the fear of cars I had never been willing to tell anyone about. My mother the third person on the scene. At leat she had held me in those moments. But who had held her in her last moments. I was saddened by that.
“I think I’m cold.” I said feeling my entire body go from a shudder to a tremble.
Yamcha wrapped his arm round me to keep my body heat in. His other arm hung limply at his side. I could feel him in pain. But still he held me.

I looked over and there he was Hercule holding Sixteen’s head and he threw it over to the ground at Gohan’s feet. I saw the ‘world champion’ look over at me and he blinked. I saw his lips form the words ‘I’m sorry’ and I nodded. He then looked at Yamcha. I think he realised who Yamcha was after all when ya see someone die live on television it tends to stick to ya mind unless ya watch snuff movies for a living.
I watched as sixteen gave his speech to Gohan before Cell stepped on his head crushing it. Man not a nice way to go. At least his was quick.
“Yet another fighter you could of saved.” Cell said simply. He looked over to me and Gohan’s eyes followed his. “And just think Lee is close to following him.”
I then saw the moment when it clicked in Gohan that saiyan side finally come out. and he exploded in a burst of rage. Resting my head on Yamcha’s shoulder lying on the ground I watched as Gohan became super saiyan two. I felt my entire body jilt and I gasped as I felt it harder and harder to breath.
It was like everyone was suddenly fading out and my sight was going.
“Maybe I could see my mother.” I breathed deeply taking gasping breaths. This felt like an emmy moment if every I saw one. But the only thing is I don’t think I’d be alive to accept it. “I never got to say goodbye to her properly.” I added.
I felt Yamcha kiss me on the top of the forehead.
“We’ll bring you back I promise.” I looked up and I blinked. Yamcha was crying. Just like my vision and I knew I was dying.
I heard Cell’s voice. “Just die would you!”
I looked over at Cell. Yamcha grabbed my head and he turned it back to the group who were standing round. Even the Cell juniors had stopped attacking.
“I... I...” I began to stammer my entire body was trembling so badly I knew I was about to die. I had to let Yamcha know how I truly felt.
“Shhh. Take it easy. It hurts I know but only for a moment. Only for a moment.” Yamcha comforted. It was easy for him to say he was blown up. He wasn’t shot with a thin energy beam through the gut. Then again he had also gotten a hole in his chest.
“I have-to say... this.” I took in a breath.
Yamcha looked at me. He looked confused on what I had to say.
I reached up and touched the side of his face and pulled him down and kissed him on the lips. So what if the group was watching. I was dying I didn’t care.
“I-love-you.” I whispered in his ear.
Yamcha looked at me and he blinked. He looked shocked. I know it was hard for me to admit that. I’d been hurt so many times before in relationships and finally I think I’d done that I’d moved on.
“I love you too. We’ll get you back. I promise.”
I smiled at him and it was that moment I felt the true death not the false death that had started it all.

So my spirit form arrived at the check in station and boy was there a line. I looked round all puffy cloud types and I felt it was every victim of Cell’s from this dimension. the guy had been busy. I looked down at my clothes there was not one sign of injury. Not even a scratch I had all my body parts and my skin was healed. I looked round at the line I was like the very last in line and I sighed.
I’m not the patient type really. So I just turned round and walked the other way from the line I found a place to be seated and I sat down. So I crossed my legs and my arms closed my eyes and I waited. I could feel Gohan’s energy from where I was. I was trying to watch the fight through mediation.

Yamcha was still holding my body he wasn’t really moving. I think he was in extreme shock and there was a Cell jnr terring towards him. He didn’t move or anything. I watched as Gohan suddenly phased in front of Yamcha and with one blast it was gone. Yamcha still hadn’t moved. So Gohan did like he did in the show and went around destroying the Cell jnrs. Goku looked at Yamcha.
“We’ll get her back Yamcha don’t worry.”

“Leona Anthanasius.” A loud voice boomed.
My eyes flew open and I looked at the now non existent cue. I stood up and wandered up to the large desk where King Yemma sat behind I looked at him in all his hugeness he was truly like how I pictured the Gods. Well thanks to numerous amounts of watching television shows.
“Um hi there.” I said and looked round.
“I’m not sure what to do with you. You’re not of this reality. Your beliefs even contrast with ours.” He said and he rubbed his black beard.
“Well my friends want to bring me back to life so how about I just hang around and wait till that happens?” I asked.
He looked at me. “normally I would send people like you onwards to train at King Ki’s but-” He stopped and I looked at him.
“It’s about to be blown up so it’s really pointless me heading out that far.”
He blinked. “Um... I was going to say since the dragonballs are already collected it’s not necessary.” He remarked.
“Oh. Well okay then I’ll just hang outside and wait then.” I said.
“Very well oh and by the way there is someone who will be dropping by to see you shortly.” He smiled at me and I nodded and walked out.

I found my place and sat down it was then there was a loud explosion in the distance and I looked over. It was done Goku had transported Cell to King Ki’s planet.
“Goku.” I stood up I wanted to go see if he was alright. But it was pretty pointless he was dead afterall.
“Lee honey.” I spun round hearing the familiar voice and there she stood.
My mother looking pretty much as I had last seen her in all her glamour. Her raven black hair in light waves just touching her shoulders. Her brown eyes smiling with the small crows feet at the side. Her tanned complexion showing on her bare arms. She wore a white sleeveless button shirt with little flowers on it and a pair of dark navy blue trousers and her black open toe high heels.
“Mum!” There was so much racing through me at this stage. But I was practically speechless. She had died but last time I checked there was no after world like this in our world- at least one that I knew of.
I ran up to her and hugged her and she wrapped her arms round me.
“Leona. Look at you. Are you okay?” She asked and she did the motherly thing by checking me to make sure all my arms and legs were in the right places.
I nodded. “I’m fine. It hurt for a while but I’m okay now.”
I looked up at the halo above her head then at the one above mine.
“Well I’m glad I’ve been watching you. When I sent you to take those martial art classes I wasn’t expecting you to use what you learned in that manner.”
I rubbed the back of my neck. “Uuuuhhhh... yeah... neither did I.”
“I see you used magick in the battle too at least you didn’t invoke all the Gods possible. It may of caused your end but it was for the best.”
I nodded and looked at her. “Can I ask how you ended up here?”
She nodded. “When I died your mind was still in this world I chose to come over to find you and tell you about your body dying in our world. But when I got here I found out that Iris and Chhaya had called you back so I stayed here waiting for you to come back. Until Cell came along he devoured the people of the village I was staying in. Myself included.” She explained.
“You can be wished back right? When They make the wish on the dragonballs or are you like me and can’t be?” I asked worried.
She smiled. “I have permission to go back because I’m not of this world but I decided I would stay here and wait for you. King Yemma was kind enough to let me.”
“This makes me feel a whole lot better. But me why am I different?”
“Because you are half of this world half of another. Where as I belong in the other world. This is the world where your father belongs.”
“Okay answer me this how come you never told me dad was an alien?”
I saw my mother sweatdropped and she smiled at me nerviously. “Would you of believed me if I said ‘honey your father is an alien warrior from another dimension’?” she asked me.
I nodded. “Point taken.”

I had lost my visual with the earth and the Cell games so I sat there waiting. On what? I guess to see if Trunks would arrive sometime soon. Dying and all- this was where the souls came so it was expected he should show up whether he be from another reality like me or not.
My mother sat next to me. It felt good having her near by. I missed her alot. I know Neil would probably go live with her if she decided to settle in this world. It would definitely save him staying with me, Yamcha and Alethea. But then there was getting Iris and Matariki back to the un-anime world.
Thinking about Iris it was then I saw Trunks arrive kind of like fading in or something I stood up and he looked confused looking round until he spotted me.
“Lee!” He walked up to me. “What happened?”
“You died Trunks.” I replied.
“Really?” He blinked and looked down at him self and I pointed up at his halo.
“Suits you.” I smiled. If I wasn’t with Yamcha I would of used that as a pick up line.
He looked at me and he nodded. “How do we get back?”
“We wait for Gohan to kick Cell’s ass then you get wished back.” I remarked.
Trunks looked at me. “I didn’t even see it coming. Until it was too late.”
“I’ve decided that I don’t like death anymore. It hurts physically. Physical pain is annoying.” I remarked.
Trunks blinked and arched an eyebrow. “Uh I guess so.”
I think I confused him with that remark. He looked over and saw my mother as she sat there calmly watching us. I looked over and watched as my mother was fixing up the clasp on the back of her chain which held a nice quartz crystal on it.
“Who’s that?” Trunks asked me.
“That’s my mother. She’s cool. Taught me all the neat witchy stuff I know. Along with the concept of the universal rule of Karma.” I replied.
“She doesn’t look my older than my mother at the moment.” He remarked.
I looked at him. “That’s a complement. My mother’s fifty and she still has perfect black hair and looks like she’s in her thirties. I want that kind of youth.”
“You are saiyan Leona of course you have it.” My mother replied as she placed the necklace on and stood up slowly.
Trunks bowed in respect at a greeting with my mother. “Um hello there.”
My mother smiled. “I watched your fight with Frieza in my world. I must say you are a strong young man.”
Trunks blushed slightly. “Uhh...”
“Don’t worry I’m just an admiring fan. Leona never really possessed that sort of power until she arrived in this world.”
Trunks looked at me. “Really?”
“Nope I was normal.”
My mother gave me a sidelong glance. “Well normal in her mind. But no one else’s.”
“Hey! Cheap shot.” I remarked putting on mock hurt.
Trunks smiled it was this thing me and my mother had since I reached the teen years. She would make fun of me and I would make fun of her back.

So for a while, the three of us hung back just waiting to be revived. Long wait when ya don’t have anything to do really.
“Trunks and Leona if you two could come this way I have a mission for you.” King Yemma’s voice boomed suddenly after what felt like two hours or so of waiting.
We looked over at King Yemma. “Mission?” I asked.
“Yes Cell has been defeated but he has not arrived here to check in. I want you two to find him and bring him back here, so I can send him to the H.F.I.L.” He replied.
“Find Cell?” I repeated.
My mother stood up. “Well I sense since the battle is over I’ll return to the world and get Iris and Chhaya for you. I’ll meet you on the look out.”
I nodded. “Okay. Bye mum.” I gave her a hug.
She smiled at me and her halo disappeared then moments later she disappeared.
My mother’s witchy technique of blinking close your eyes think where you want to be and boom ya there. Kinda like the instant transmission except it’s limited to areas.

Trunks and myself began our search on the beginning of the snakeway looking for Cell. When I realised this after life was like a planet of it’s own. Completely full of people and places he could be I looked at Trunks.
“If Cell knows the instant transmission then he could be anywhere.” I said.
Trunks nodded. “We don’t have much time either. If the dragonballs are about to be used.” He added as we walked down snakeway.
“Unless he knows we’re coming. But then again what happens when we’re killed in this dimension?” I asked.
Trunks shrugged. “I don’t know I’ve never been in this dimension before.”
“You and me both.” I agreed.

I started to look round for Cell by his power level if I locked on to it I could instant transmission Trunks and myself there and we could take him back to King Yemma. Trunks looked round I think he too was looking for Cell’s power level.
I picked Cell up suddenly and it was the same with Trunks and we looked at each other. “He’s close by!” Trunks exclaimed. “Just like that. He must be on to us.”
I nodded. “Which means we have to do this quick.”
Trunks nodded. Cell suddenly appeared behind us and fired a ki blast directly at us. We both jumped upwards as the blast sailed onward down snake way.
“Boo.” Cell grinned.
Trunks and I landed dropping back in to a defence stance.
“You see having my cells in you didn’t help you at all. Because just like me you can’t predict your end.” I taunted.
Cell glared at me and charged directly at me. “Trunks grab my shoulder.”
He nodded and did as he was told and as Cell charged I grabbed him and placed two fingers to my forehead instant transmissioning myself, Trunks and Cell back to King Yemma. Cell then powered up and Trunks and myself jumped back.
“Kaaaa meeee haaaa meeee HAAAA!!!” The blast shot out forward towards us.
I looked at Trunks in time to see his halo vanish. He looked at me.
“You’ve been wished back.” I remarked. “Wow talk about quick.”
Trunks looked at me as he was vanishing. “Hold on Lee I’ll get the others to work on you as soon as possible.” With that he was gone.

I held my hands up in front of myself in defence and powered up my own blast that collided with Cell’s and I held the blast there. Until suddenly the blast shot onwards and I looked round Cell had gone. “Damnit! Where’d he go?!”
“Right here.” I turned round to get blasted directly in the stomach and Cell laughed.
But he was cut short as King Yemma grabbed him. “Enough of that.”
King Yemma looked at me and nodded. “Thank-you Leona.”
I nodded and I placed my hand on my stomach where I had been blasted. There was a large gaping hole and I blinked.
“Damn.” I stumbled backwards and fell down feeling the pain shooting through me. King Yemma was gone obviously to take care of Cell. I actually felt sorry for Cell after all king Yemma was a large guy.

I stayed put there holding my hand over the hole when Goku instant transmissioned in front of me with King Ki, Gregory and Bubbles I looked at him.
“Lee I sensed you were in trouble.” Goku knelt down in front of me.
“I’ll be okay so long as Trunks hurries up and gets my friends to revive me.”
Goku looked at me. “I’ve decided to stay here in the after life. Everything bad seems to happen when I’m around. I’m sick of my friends getting hurt because of me.”
“What’s that saying. ‘Terrible things happen to good people.’ My grandmother told me that at my mother’s funeral it’s life we just can’t stop it. But I understand.”
Goku gave me a kiss on the cheek and I looked at him.
Goku looked at me. “I’m going to miss you and your quirky ways Lee.”
I smiled. “Hey just don’t forget to look in on us once in a while okay?”
He nodded. “I promise.”
“Hey I got a going away joke if you want to hear it?”
Goku sweatdropped. “Um... it’s alright you don’t have to.”
“Hey humour me here, I’m missing half my stomach.”
Goku looked at king Ki. “What do you think?”
King Ki smiled. “I’d like to hear it.”
I read Goku’s expression of ‘you would’ and I smiled.
“Great. What did the tie say to the hat?” I asked.
Goku groaned and thumped his forehead.
“You go on a-head and I’ll hang around.” I grinned.
King Ki seemed to find that joke funny. But then again he did have a weird sense of humor. Goku just looked at me.
I looked up as my halo vanished. “Oh that’s me up. Bye Goku.”
“Bye Lee.” He then kissed me on the lips and I smiled as I vanished.

I was jilted back in to the world of living by an incredible pain in my lower stomach and I let out a cry in pain. I bet the others when revived didn’t go through that much pain. It was like dying except it was dying in reverse.
“Hand me that bottle.” I heard my mother’s voice remarked as my eyes opened.
I looked round and I saw Yamcha holding me in his arms and I smiled at him. The rest of the Z-team were standing round. Trunks was to the side next to Gohan and I realised I was at Capsule Corp not on the look out.
“Look at the size of that hole. Man I’m so glad I’m not you.” Iris remarked.
I arched an eyebrow and looked at her. “Wait till I’m healed and then you’ll experience first hand how much this BLOODY WELL HURTS!!”
Chhaya blinked and looked at Iris. “Well she’s not possessed.”
“Nope all’s normal that’s good.” My mother replied.
“Possessed? What made you think that would happen and how do you know I’m not huh? I might just jump and kill you all now.”
“No because you’d so do that anyway, if you were possessed you’d be offering us cupcakes, and little home made treats that taste really great.” Iris replied.
My mother placed her hand over my wound and she began to glow with a white aura around her.
“You guys are dissing my cooking.” I frowned.
“No offense but it is not very good.” Neil replied. “Except the chicken you cook. I like the way you cook chicken.” He added.
My mother pulled her hand back and I sat up and looked at my stomach showing through the hole in the fabric. Yamcha helped me up.
“You okay?” He asked.
I nodded. “I think so. I decided I don’t like the pain that comes with dying.”
“Well I’ve got to take Matariki back to my sister, Chhaya and Neil are coming with me. Iris wants to stay behind this time round. But I have to get Matariki back. So if you can watch over my house for a week.”
“Do I get money for it?” I asked.
my mother nodded. “Yes I’ll pay you just house sit. Oh and the cats are there to now, plus I brought through some belongings of mine. So just keep it clean and away from damage.”

So I ended up spending the week out in this village alone while my mother and Chhaya returned with Matariki and Neil back to the normal world. Their lease on life had been accepted in that world too- thanks to the powers that be and King Yemma. So I suppose you’re wondering where Iris was for this week was since I was at the house alone? One name- Trunks. She spent the entire week with him and she always brought back the goss on his world on what he’d told her. I found out why there was never that possibility of a me and Trunks. His world I had been Gohan’s girlfriend (which I already knew but Iris didn’t) and Trunks being Trunks had so much respect for Gohan. That when coming here despite the attraction hadn’t because he believed I would be gone for fourteen years but it had only been three weeks instead. Poor guy saw too many time differences. The whole me out living Gohan thing too with the travelling to the afterlife purposely to find Bulma’s father for a translation of the androids plans had me baffled because it was Bulma here who figured the plans out. I guess no one would really know except other me.

Iris dished out alot of stuff on what Trunks had told her. Even about this situation Trunks had heard from Master Roshi in his timeline something about Gohan me and the beach side of Kame Island... Iris loved telling me that to see my expression of surprise. Trunks never seemed like the one to gossip. But Iris said it made him remember the good old days from when Gohan and I were alive and we’d strangely enough take turns in training him up until the fun park scenario. Which from the history of Trunks I knew all too well about the pop shot that took Gohan’s arm away and his sacrifice of the last Sensu Bean to make sure Trunks lived. All I did was listen to Iris as she rambled on. It sounded like she wanted to see Trunks world for herself and help out. But I knew after she finished she couldn’t. Her love for her father would stop her. Being as he was getting on in life and Iris was living with him in order to make sure he was okay. -Her father as old as he was getting was starting to remind me of Master Roshi in the perverted jokes he’d come up with. Must be the old age.

After all gossip had been dished out and Iris was gone I was left alone in this house of my mother’s. So I mainly sat back watching Romeo Must Die over and over again to see Kai Sing (yes Russell Wong wearing a suit) and listening to the soundtrack on her stereo then and again I’d read my mother’s novels brought in to this world all by her magick. There was an interesting witchy book called ‘The burning times’ by Jeanne Kalogridis that I read in a span of the first two days, while also watching over my kitten Aradia and my mother’s cat Maniac. And in this world they could talk much like Puar except they talked too much. Aradia talked heaps while Maniac wandered round aimlessly the big silent type of cat that he was.

During that week I got an unexpected visit from Chi-chi and Gohan. It was a total surprise and I hoped like anything Chi-chi hadn’t been informed on my little explicitness on Yardrat with her husband. but I found out chi-chi instead was pregnant with hers and Goku’s child and she wanted me to watch over Gohan while she and Bulma went and did the motherly things they had to do. So Along with all of Gohan’s books Chi-chi left him in my care giving me a list of all of his study times and so forth. It was only for three days so of course any company was good company so I agreed to “help” him study.

So hanging out in the lounge together he studied and I read the books my mother had on her mammoth bookshelf. My mother had always said she couldn’t live without any of her books. And the big bookshelf Chi-chi felt sure that Gohan could use some of the books my mother had kept from when me and Neil were at school. - yes those evil study books of Maths, Science and English. (insert shudder here- just for the memory’s sake). I showed Gohan a few study tips I learned from my grandmother the almost classical music which is suppose to improve thinking power. then during the regular ten minute breaks I allowed Gohan so his brain could refresh I introduced him to the laid back music of New-Zealand. Bands like Weta, Tadpole, Zed, Headless Chickens, Crowded House (yes they are NZ not Australian despite how many people protest at that they are KIWI!!! at least to me they are) When he’d finish study for the day we’d watch movies too. It was here I think I picked up more on the cute little crush he had on me. how’d I know? Well the flushed cheeks and the quiet voice he’d adapt when approaching certian topics like whether I thought me and Yamcha would ever get married. Which surprisingly enough even I didn’t know the answer to despite my prophetic abilities. This conversation popped up while we were watching Hercule’s Champion announcement (on mute mind you) while listening to Zed’s driver’s side.
“So do you think you two will?” Gohan urged on at my quietness.
“Um... What do you think? Think he’ll want to settle down with me?” I asked.
Gohan smiled and nodded. “You should of seen him after you died. He looked really lost just holding you. Unlike Vegeta man after Trunks was killed he just lost control. I think for a moment for once Vegeta and Yamcha were on the same wave length. Yet Vegeta had the ability to follow through.”
I nodded. “Yeah sounds like Vegeta.”
There was a knock at the door interrupting us and I stood up it was the second day of Gohan’s stay so I wasn’t expecting it to be Chi-chi and to my complete and total surprise it was Yamcha holding Alethea. She was glad to see me and reached out for me so I took her and smiled at Yamcha.
“Thought I better drop by see how you’re doing.” He said.
I nodded. “I’m doing good. Gohan’s telling me about the battle against Cell after me and Trunks died and Vegeta going haywire.” I smiled.
Yamcha looked at me. “Yeah for a second there I really thought Vegeta had him.” I could tell Yamcha seemed more pleased I was alive than talking about the games.
“Trunks is going home tomorrow too. You coming to see him off Lee?” Yamcha asked me. I looked at Gohan and nodded. For some reason (probably Iris) Trunks had delayed his leaving from this world.
“Yeah of course.” I replied.
“You bet cha!” Gohan agreed excitedly. It was strange how this world worked. In Trunks time he had admired Gohan but here it seemed the opposite. Yamcha sat Alethea on the ground in the center of the lounge. and she watched as Aradia bounded round the kitchen in a hype.
“Ha! Yea!! MOUSE!!!!!” She chased after a small round ball with a wiggly tail flapping about it. She pounced on it and it rolled free and she chased after it again.
“Is she this um... psyched up?” Yamcha asked worriedly with a raised eyebrow.
I smiled. “Yup. But she’s a real sweetie I get worried when she plays fetch with me.” “Mmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaccccccc!!!”
Maniac sauntered inside casually and he walked up to the food bowl and started munching on some cat biscuits.
I sat back down on the chair and watched as Alethea crawled up to me and grabbed the arm of the chair and she pulled herself to stand up and she looked at me then at my lap then back at me again. I smiled and picked her up setting her in my lap. She gurgled happily at the motherly attention she hadn’t had for the past three days.
