Cardcaptor Sakura is a manga and an anime, created by the very talented Clamp. The story follows Kinomoto Sakura, a fourth grader(sorry, all i have to work with the english manga translations) at Tomoeda Elementary school. She finds an odd, glowing book in her fathers book collection, and opens it to finds it hollow, and full of wierd, tarot-like cards. The first one reads "Windy", with a picture of a woman on it. When she speaks its name, a wild wind is unleashed, and all of the other cards within the book are scattered, and disappear as she watches.

To add to everything, a little stuffed animal appears from the cover of the book, and sleepily demands to know who she is, and where the cards are. Thus little Sakura's journey of finding the magical Clow Cards begins. She wil meet many people along the way, each of them helping in their own way.

Tomoyo- Sakura's best friend, she tags along and films Saukra's captures. She also insists that Sakura wear the costumes she designs for capturing the cards.
Sayoran Li- A descendant of Clow Reed, he comes from Hong Kong when the release of the Clow Cards is felt. He also is a Cardcaptor, though he lets Sakura seal them. He posesses a sword and Lazin(sp?) Board, and very strong Eastern magic.
Kinomoto Touya- Sakura's older brother, who calls her "gaijin", or monster. He also has a little magic, though not as strong as Sakura's or Sayoran's. He looks after her, and absolutely cannot stand Sayoran.
Meiling- Also from Hong Kong, she is the closest to Sayaran as she has known him for the longest. She has no magic, though she tries to make up for it in other ways. She is a strong fighter, physically.
Cerberus- Kero-chan in his true form. He is one of Clow Reed's magical protectors, and the designated guardian of the clow cards. He advises Sakura about the clow cards, and encurages her. He likes pudding and sweets, alot. Touya is suspicious of him as Kero-chan, not truly beleiving in Kero-chan's "stuffed animal" guise.
