loved by Karen Alexander
Bernese Mountain Dog, Erin.
"Erin was a tomboy. She had the loudest bark, longest tongue always hanging to one side and a desire to drink water from anything outside. She had one litter of 12 and was a good mother. Quite by accident, Erin was taken from her mother Amy at birth and given to me. It was love at first sight. I bided my time and when Erin was retired she was mine. It was appropriate that when her life ended we lay together, Erin with her paw on my shoulder and I hugging her. We just looked at each other and as she always did, she loved me with her eyes."
Karen also lost Amy, Erin's Dam, at the age of twelve,
