Berner Niesen Formerly known as Beast! With thanks to Vicky for this pic of the Boy! "Beast has a new name. He is now called Niesen. Niesen is one of the lesser peaks in the Bernese Alps, which seems fitting for a 65lb Berner male. Niesen translates from the German into "sneeze" and my mom (who is German) said the mountain looks something like a nose, which is where she thinks the name came from. I think it only coincidence that Sneezy was one of the sever dwarves. Niesen can also be used to say "bless you" in a manner similar to saying gesundheit. The wheels kept turning and from Niesen I thought of calling him Liam. So far I am calling him Niesen but maybe Liam is a better fit? His previous family took him to the groomer for a trim and through a misunderstanding they shaved him, which is why he looks strange in the photo!-))"
