The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada

UNIQUE Herding Sweatshirt!!!! Two week raffle ONLY!

Dear friends,

The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada 2010 National Specialty will be held in Chilliwack, BC, on 1-5 April 2010 (Easter holiday). In connection with this specialty, we are hoping to be able to offer a Canadian (unofficial) Herding Instinct Test for the first time.

As a fund raiser to help with this event, Coral Denis has kindly donated a top quality sweatshirt (size: L) with a machine-embroidered motif (designed and sewn by Ingrid Miller) of a bernese mountain dog with sheep, which will be offered through a dedicated raffle. This is a unique, limited edition sweatshirt, which will only be available through selected channels between now and the 2010 specialty!

Raffle tickets cost $2 each (US$ or Can$) and are available between now and Saturday, May 2, after which the draw will take place.

If you wish to buy raffle tickets for this unique item, please send an e-mail between now and April 24 to either of:

Coral Denis
Ingrid Miller or
Lisbeth Plant

Payment can be made via cheque (made out to BMDCC) or in person in Portland during the BMDCA national specialty.

From April 25 onwards, tickets can be bought for cash from the above individuals in Portland, and one of us will be at the herding trial, displaying the sweatshirt.

And a bit of fun here from Coral, and a unique view of Pepin's sheep herding skills!

"Pepin loves sheep herding. The instructor has told Lisbeth, who is her teacher, that Pepin will kick butt at the sheep herding trials in May and June. I cannot believe how well she works with the sheep, she has such power and agility with her dips and dives. This is a drawing my friend in Wales did for me for Lisbeth for Christmas, artwork by Bonny Bullock. I love it."
