Welcome to the Anime Temple FAQ page. For those who don't know, FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions. So this page is devoted to answering my visitors' questions. So here goes....
A: Well I'm a big anime otaku (anime fan) and I've seen lots of sites and one day I sat and thought "gee I'd like to make a site, might be fun". So I gradually learned how and here I am, the webmistress of the Anime Temple. ^^
Q: How is this site made?
A: This site is made with basic HTML. My Fanart Shrine uses tables, but they're invisible (wonder if I tricked anyone...). I know it's really nothing fancy but that's how I do it.
Q: I really like the pictures/backgrounds on this site, can I take them and use for my own site?
A: Yes, you can take these pics and bg's and use them for your own site. I didn't make the pics and I didn't make most of the backgrounds, so they're yours for the taking. The only exception to this is the pics that I made. You can find out which pics on the site are mine by looking at the copyright notice on the bottom of the main page. You cannot take those as I made them, and even if you ask me, you can't have them. I will make an exception for my backgrounds. You may use my backgrounds but you must HAVE MY PERMISSION. This means you must contact me somehow and ask if you can use the backgrounds I made on your site. I will most likely say yes as long as you promise to provide a link to my site. However, anything that I didn't make, you can use. Enjoy! ^^
Q: Can I directly link pictures from your site to my site?
A: No. If you want to use my media (pics, midis, music, anything like that), then you must save it to your computer, upload it to your own server, and then put it on your site. Why, you might ask? Well, first, I'm only given a certain amount of bandwidth and I have enough trouble not killing it without other people making matters worse by leeching off my site. Also, AF (angelfire) doesn't really allow for direct linking. So not only can you not direct link because I'm turning you down, you can't do it at all because it will not show up if it's a pic, and probably won't download if it's some sort of multimedia. Even if it did work and you could direct link, direct linking is highly unethical and you just shouldn't do it.
Q: Will there ever be any pages with information about you or maybe pics of you?
A: I get this alot. Yes, there will be a section of the site devoted to me if you're ever curious about the real Lady Tsuki. Will there be pics? Maybe. However, I'm not responsible for any damage to your eyes and/or monitors when you see 'em. Now that this question has been officially answered on this page don't ask on my forums or AIM or any other way again. Thanks.
Q: Are there any rules to Fanart submission?
A: Yes. The rules to submission are as follows:
1) Absolutely no explicit material. Meaning no nudity of any kind whatsoever. I personally could care less as I am all for free expression. However I have certain rules from my webhost by which I must abide.
2) Only ANIME fanart will be accepted to the Fanart Shrine. This means no game or any other kind of fanart.
Currently, I don't post fancharacters in the Fanart Shrine. The only exception I have made to this rule is for fanart from the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series which is a live action series based on the anime/manga, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. The art has been of anime style and since the show is based on an anime/manga, I think this exception is fair, but that's the only exception to this rule so far!
3)Please do not submit pictures OVER 500k. If you do submit a pic over 500k, you are giving me the permission to alter it to meet the filesize standard. I only do this for bandwidth and space savings.
