    Lita Kino is a tall, strong girl who transfers to Crossroads Junior High. She continues to wear the uniform from her old
 school since the new one does not fit her. She meets Serena when saving her from being hit by a car, since she wasn't thinking
 about where she was going. Later that day, Serena shares a lunch with her, finding out what a good cook Lita is. Lita lives by
 herself in an apartment, since her parents died in a plane crash when she was very young. 

    The athletic Lita is rumored to have been kicked out of her old school for fighting. However, she transferred to Crossroads
 because the feeling of something important brought her there. She finds out this is true when she is discovered to be Sailor
 Jupiter. Her power is of storms and flowers, nature. She is very sensitive to the weather, often sensing storms coming. When
 not feeling well, she builds up an electric charge, like the lightning she controls. 

    Lita tends to comment about cute guys and drool over them as much as Serena. She had an old boyfriend who broke her
 heart whom Andy reminds her of. But, she cannot stand to be taken advantage of by evil forces trying to use her heart against
 her. She becomes friends with Asanuma, an underclassmen at Darien's school, after meeting him at the food parlor. He
 admires her strength and beauty. Quickly, he knows something is different about Lita and her friends. She tells him about their
 destiny to fight the enemy. He wishes he also had power so that he could protect Lita.
