KTULU VS. CHAIN MAN
This contest took place at IRW's final Pay Per View, Wrestle Rampage. Ktulu and Chain Man were the last men eliminated in one of two battle royals, thus they met later that night to battle for the U.S Title. Chain Man was an established veteran in IRW, and had beaten many top level opponents. The match was tiring and brutal, but in the end Ktulu hit the Osaka Street Cutter to win. Frank Jepard: This next match is for the IRW United States Title! Introducing first, he was eliminated last in the second Battle Royal, CHAIN MAN!
[The fans boo as "Helter Skelter" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to blare over the PA system. Chain Man walks down to the ring. He climbs onto the apron and enters the ring.]
Frank Jepard: And his opponent, coming to the ring with Heather...KTULU!
[The arena lights quickly fade to black. The intro to Metallica's "The Call of Ktulu" begins to play as the lights over the ring and entranceway slowly flash silver. The intro slowly fades out and a giant wall of silver pyro explodes on the stage as "Seek and Destroy" cranks up on the PA. The crowd begins to boo mercilessly as Ktulu walks out arm-in-arm with Heather. He waves his kendo stick around wrecklessly in his free hand, almost hitting some of the ringside fans. Ktulu hands his kendo stick to Heather and slides into the ring. He holds his arms up and spins around while mocking the fans, getting him even more heel heat.]
Dan Glitzer: These two plan on going all out for the US Title!
[The bell rings and both men lock up. Chain Man takes Ktulu down to the mat with a quick hiptoss. Ktulu gets back to his feet fast and runs at Chain Man again, but Chain Man sends him back to the canvas once more with another hiptoss. Ktulu gets back up and stares at Chain Man who smirks at Ktulu. Ktulu walks over to Chain Man and spits in his face. Chain Man shoves Ktulu down to one knee. Ktulu gets back up and gives Chain Man a shove of his own. Chain Man stumbles back a few steps and then swings a right hand, striking Ktulu in the side of the head. Ktulu stumbles backwards. begins nailing Ktulu in the face with hard lefts and rights. Ktulu fires back with a right hand, but Chain Man blocks and kicks Ktulu in the stomach. CM goes to whip Ktulu, but Ktulu holds onto his arm and snaps back with a savate kick to the jaw.]
Jason Johnson: Chain Man just got...uh...jibber-jabbered!
John Dare: Say what?
[Ktulu drops down and goes for the pin on Chain Man. One, Tw...kickout. Ktulu gets up as Chain Man begins to get up. CM gives Ktulu a jab to the midsection. Ktulu backs off and Chain Man grabs his legs and hits a double leg take down. Chain Man grabs Ktulu's right leg and drops and elbow down into Ktulu's groin. Chain Man gets back up and pulls Ktulu over to the corner by his right leg. He puts Ktulu's right leg across the bottom turnbuckle. Chain Man climbs onto the middle turnbuckle and drops down onto Ktulu's leg. Ktulu rolls over on the canvas, grasping his right leg.]
Dan Glitzer: Chain Man has picked a body part and is working on it!
[Chain Man stands back and lets Ktulu get back to his feet. Once Ktulu is up, Chain Man clips that right leg, sending Ktulu right back down to the canvas. CM grabs the leg, lifts it in the air and drops it down knee first. Ktulu gets back to his feet, but Chain Man lifts him up and hits him with a knee breaker on his right knee. Ktulu hobbles around on his left leg. Ktulu turns around and Chain Man grabs him and drills him to the canvas with a spinebuster. Chain Man goes for the pin. One, Two, kickout.]
John Dare: Cheater!
Dan Glitzer: Who?
John Dare: Chain Man...we all know that he is using steroids or something...no one could beat on Ktulu like this unless they are cheating!
Dan Glitzer: ...
[Ktulu rolls out of the ring to try to bring himself back to his sense, but Chain Man slides right out of the ring after him. Chain Man grabs Ktulu and attempts an Irish Whip, but Ktulu reverses it and sends Chain Man crashing into the ring steps. Ktulu quickly re-enters the ring as Chain Man struggles to get back up. Chain Man climbs back into the ring after Ktulu. Ktulu gouges Chain Man in the eyes, the follows with a low roundhouse kick to Chain Man's thigh. Ktulu repeatedly strikes Chain Man in the legs with quick martial arts kicks before hitting a spinning back kick to Chain Man's chest. Ktulu charges at Chain Man, but Chain Man comes out of nowhere with a huge clothesline that sends Ktulu into a 360 flip before he slams onto the canvas.]
Dan Glitzer: It looked like Ktulu was getting a second wind, but Chain Man just nailed him with a variation of the Doomsday Clothesline.
Jason Johnson: Yeah, he got waylayafied!
Dan Glitzer: Um...ok...
[Chain Man goes for the pin. One, Two, Th...kickout. Chain Man gets up and rolls Ktulu out onto the apron. CM follows him out onto the apron. Ktulu uses everything he's got to pull himself up. Chain Man grabs him and executes the X-Factor off the apron, known as the Apron Bomb, to the concrete. Chain Man gets up as Ktulu isn't moving on the concrete.]
John Dare: That move was lame...
Dan Glitzer: It got the job done though.
[Chain Man rolls Ktulu back into the ring. Chain Man follows him in and goes for the pin. He puts his feet on the middle ropes for leverage. One, Two, Thre...right shoulder up. Chain Man gets up and grabs Ktulu's right leg again, but this time Ktulu uses his left leg to kick Chain Man right in the jaw. Chain Man stumbles backwards and Ktulu gets back to his feet. Ktulu dropkicks Chain Man in the face, sending Chain Man out of the ring. Chain Man lands on his feet, but Ktulu runs and hits him with a baseball slide that sends Chain Man back first into the gaurd rail. Ktulu goes to whip CM into the guardrail, but Chain Man reverse and Ktulu slams back first into the metal. Chain Man delivers a running knee to Ktulu's stomach, then smashes his head against the ring steps. Chain Manturns to the crowd with his arms raised. Heather storms over to CM and slaps him right across the face. Chain Man's face twists with anger and he begins chasing Heather around the ring. As they come back to where they started, Ktulu runs and leaps off of the ring steps, soaring over Heather and into CM with a spinning heel kick.]
Jason Johnson: What a slobber-knocking barnburner of a move!
[Ktulu grabs Chain Man and sends him back into the ring. Ktulu climbs onto the apron and springboards in with a splash onto Chain Man. One, Two, Thre...kickout. Ktulu gets up and begins to pull Chain Man up. Chain Man pushes Ktulu away. Ktulu comes running back at Chain Man, but Chain Man grabs him and slams him hard into the canvas with a powerslam. He doesn't go for the pin, instead he lifts him back to his feet. He whips Ktulu into the turnbuckle and follows with a hard running splash. Chain man steps back and attempts the move again, but Ktulu kicks him in the face at the last second. Ktulu jumps up onto the ropes and pulls Chain Man back into a reverse DDT position. Ktulu nails the Diamond Dust and goes for a cover. One, two, kickout. Ktulu looks extremely pissed as he argues with the referee. Chain Man recovers and forearms Ktulu in the back. CM tries to follow with a clothesline, but Ktulu counters with a kick to the stomach. Ktulu lifts Chain Man up into tombstone position and delivers the Psycho Plunge near the ropes. The crowd as Ktulu flips them off before making the cover. One, two, foot on the ropes. CM gets his foot on the ropes. A severely PO'ed Ktulu gets right in Phelps's face and begins verbally assaulting him. Ktulu turns around into a huge kick to the face from CM. Chain Man quickly powerbombs the dazed Ktulu and makes a pin. One, two, Ktulu barely kicks out. Chain Man calls for the finish to the crowd. Ktulu grabs onto CM's leg to pull himself up, and Chain Man pulls Ktulu up by the hair. CM scoops Ktulu up for a bodyslam, but Ktulu holds on and slips behind Chain Man in a reverse suplex position. Ktulu lifts Chain Man into the air and drops him down into an Osaka Street Cutter.]
John Dare: Holy...Osaka Street Cutter!!!
[Ktulu goes for the pin. One, Two, Three.]
Frank Jepard: Here is your winner...and NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION, KTULU!
Dan Glitzer: Ktulu overcame Chain Man's onslaught to win the US Title! What a match!
