Appearance:

Kageru looks like your stereotypical Sound Nin, working under Orochimaru. The interesting about her is that she DOES look very much like Orochimaru, with her long, greasy, midnight black hair; and almost exactly the same shade of yellow eyes with a slit as the pupil instead of normal human pupils. Unlike Orochimaru who usually leaves his hair down, Kageru always have the ends of hers tied up with a small tie (sort of like Neji) since her hair can reach down to the middle of her back, it’ll definitely get into her eyes if she doesn’t hold it back. Other than her physical appearance, Kageru also wears the traditional Sound Battle uniform. A long, light violet, short sleaved shirt that reaches to mid-thigh, tied back with one of those large, bulky belts; with black spandex leggings until her knees, and bandages lacing her lower leg until it disappears into her ninja sandals. The only other thing she wears on her body is the special Sound guard mechanism on both of her wrist and arms - each one with a different purpose and function.

Short Summery:

Kageru is actually a ‘failed’ experiment of Orochimaru’s. As most people already knew that Orochimaru had been experimenting with the human anatomy some years ago to try and find a way to attain immortality, not many actually knew that he was also experimenting with cloning and cell regeneration techniques (trying to imitate Tsunade’s medical feats). One of those cloning and cell regeneration experiments done by Orochimaru was to see if he could produce a clone from his original cells (ie. His original body, not the ones he’s taken over). Kageru was supposed to be a backup container if there were ever going to be problems later on during Orochimaru’s life.

However, she (and her fellow clones) proved themselves to be unworthy of being a ‘container’, since her body was less stable than Orochimaru’s own, and she couldn’t accomplish what others with advance blood could, such as the Uchiha’s with the Sharingan and Kimimaro with his intensive bones. She just couldn’t compete with Orochimaru’s raising demand, and as such, Orochimaru ordered all the clones destroyed, since there were practically useless to him anyway. Luckily for Kageru, one of the scientists that created her and her hundreds of siblings (both male and female) decided that they should at least keep ONE of the clones alive and study her growth further and Orochimaru accepted. That means that Kageru was the ONLY survivor of the cloning fiasco, of which, over 300 complete and incomplete clones were destroyed.

That’s why Kageru often doesn’t think of herself as even human and in need of human rights. She was created to be a replacement, and when she lost that purpose, she became nothing but a plaything for Orochimaru - her creator. She has no worth except to serve her master; she doesn’t deserve to be seen as a human because she was never (technically) born, just bred in a test tube. She wasn’t human, and in her mind, she never will be.

Special Techniques:

Kageru has a nickname - Kageru of the whispers, or sometimes she’s just known as the ‘whisper’ because she’s just so quiet when she walks or talks. Believed to be a non-human, Kageru does not exactly feel the fear of death, or the idea of being destroyed. She is after all, just a tool. This is why out of the three; Kageru is the one that would willingly throw everything at her enemy, regardless of the consequences. She doesn’t care about her teammates; she doesn’t care about herself.

As for techniques, theoretically, Kageru can do all the techniques that Orochimaru himself could do, as long as she has the Chakra capacity. This is because, theoretically, since she was created from his ADULT genes, the genes itself should hold the memories of his life - including the various Jutsus he had learnt. This makes Kageru an incredibly powerful genin. One would almost wonder why she hadn’t been promoted. The answer is: since she’s not human, why promote her at all - no matter how powerful she really is.

Other than the various techniques that Orochimaru himself can perform, Kageru’s other (most useful) technique is with the use of her ‘Sound Guard Mechanisms’, which is specifically designed for her usage only. Of the two devices on her wrists, one is called an ‘amplifier’(on her right arm) and the other called an ‘emulator’ (on her left wrist). The ‘amplifier’ works remarkably similar to Dosu’s mechanical instrument in which he can transmit wound waves (embedded with his Chakra) to attack the inner hear of a person. The ‘emulator’ on the other hand, creates a very high pitch sound (completely silent to humans) but it can be controlled by Chakra to either create a sonic boom, shatter glass, encourage pain within every living creatures mind by vibrating their very brain waves (these includes animals as well as humans), and also has the extreme ability to disintegrating particles by making them vibrate to the wave length it creates. Both are incredibly powerful instruments in which only Kageru had mastered.

Personality:

Kageru is cold and heartless. She was bred from a test tube and as such, had always thought of herself as below humans. Deep in her heart, she hated her existence, but since she is the only one of her kind in this world, she didn’t want to ‘cease to exist’, as that would mean the complete eradication of all her fellows. She is the only living proof that they (her fellows) had once existed as all, and if she’s gone, all memories of them are gone too. However, that doesn’t stop her from hating herself and the world around her. ‘What is my purpose in this world now that I am without worth?’ Kageru often asks herself, and an answer is never coming.

Kageru is obedient to Orochimaru to a fault. She will follow his orders to the very ends of the earth, and there is nothing anyone else can do to change her mind. Like Kimimaro, she is a fanatic worshiper of her master, her creator, even though deep in her heart, she hated Orochimaru more than anything else. Kageru has no notion of right or wrong, good or bad, or the rules of engagement in and among humans. She always sees herself an outsider, withdrawn of the human interaction and as such, doesn’t get along well with her peers. She is distant, incomprehensible, and to most people, practically inhuman.

Even her name 'Sasayaki Kageru' is just a substitute for her clone number - 636. The name 'Sasayaki Kageru' was given by one of the Scientists who created her, in the image of his long deceased daughter. Sasayaki Konzen is probably Kageru's only father figure and probably the only person in the world who actually cared about her as more than an inanimate object, but more of a person.
