Magical Twist
Chapter 1

Summer had finally come. Everything had become more peaceful once Sakura transformed all the cards, and since she didn't need to use the star cards much anymore. Things were really moving slow around Readington.
"Hey Kero," Sakura asked hopelessly," I know this might sounds strange but do you feel any strange auras or sense anything bad is going to happen?"
Kero floated over to Sakura's side by her bedroom window, "No, everything's fine. Why what's the matter? Do you sense anything?"
Sakura's shoulders slumped as she laid her head on the window sill," Unfortunately no. It's not that I want the whole world to come to the an end it's just that things have been so boring around ever since all the star cards were all transformed, and now that I don't have school to keep me busy I don't know what to do."
Sakura walked over to lay down on her bed. Kero floated over and propped himself on her shoulder to try to cheer her up, "Hey don't worry champ your the mistress of the cards, so they will always been new obstacles you'll have to overcome to try and protect them."
Sakura sat up and walked to her desk where she pulled out the star book. She took out the cards and began to thumb through as she said," Your right Kero things won't be this dry forever anyway I should be glad nothing bad has happened I can relax and for once."
At that very moment something happened. The star cards that Sakura had held in her hands loss some of their glow.
"Kero something is wrong the star cards have lost some of their strength I can feel it," Sakura yelped out in a panic.
"That's weird. Are you sure I don't sense anything at all," Kero said in puzzlement.
The strange happenings began to happen to Kero as well. Kero's borrowed form was beginning to fade.
"Oh no! It's happening to you too Kero your power is fading!" Sakura moaned.
" I feared this might happen, but I thought that maybe your powers were strong enough to prevent it," Kero said in a shaky tone," Listen up Sakura I don't have much time till I pretty much fade away. Since you haven't used your magic lately someone has taken advantage of the fact that your magic is at full power and is draining it for their own use. You have to go to Hong Kong all the answers you will need are there along with a guardian you can use and another source of magic."
"But you can't go Kero I need your help! I don't what I'll do if I lose my magic and I don't know how to get to Hong Kong either!" Sakura yelped out in fear.
"I don't have time to help anymore Sakura use the little magic you have left to aid you. I have faith in you Sakura and I believe you can do it, "Kero said with those last words of encouragement  before he completely disappeared.
Sakura picked up her star cards to feel how much power they had left. The power the star cards had were slowly draining meaning she had to hurry and get back her magic. First she had to find a way to get to Hong Kong then she would have to find a place to  stay while she was there. Sakura knew there was only one place she could stay while she was there. Li's house was the only place, but it had been a long time since she had seen him. She didn't know if it were a good idea to stay there at all. She knew she had to tell Madison about the whole thing so she called her on her phone.
"Madison I have to go to Hong Kong to get the magic that someone is draining from I just wanted to tell you before I left," Sakura blurted out.
" Woah! Slow down Sakura someone is draining your magic and now your going to Hong Kong to get it back? How do you plan to get there," Madison questioned.
" I haven't figured that out yet, but I know I have to go immediately," Sakura replied.
"Well, my mom is taking a commercial plane to Japan to make a business offer I'll bet they could make a stop at Hong Kong for you do you want me to come with you?"
" Thanks a lot Madison, but I rather you didn't come it might be dangerous and I'd hate for you to get caught in the cross fire," Sakura reassured her.
" Ok, if you're sure come over tomorrow the plane leaves first thing in the morning," Madison replied.
" I'm sure. Thanks for everything," Sakura said before hanging up.
Sakura knew that this was just the beginning, and that she would have to face one of her biggest adventures yet.
