Chapter 8

Dragons

Keroberus "Mistress?"

Keroberus tries waking her up.

Yue "Keroberus, What are you doing?"

Keroberus "The gem is glowing like crazy."

Yue "Ok I see, One, Two, Three,"

Together "MISTRESS!"

Sakura "AHHHH!!"

She wakes up.

Sakura "Oh Keroberus Yue What is it?"

Keroberus "It's this gem. It's glowing like crazy."

Sakura "Oh that's the gem I need. Where did you guys find it?"

Yue "When we came in the castle Keroberus said he found a colorful gem and just decided to take it."

Sakura "Keroberus you know that's not the best thing to do."

Keroberus "It just looks so pretty." 

Sakura "In the other hand that's good."

She thanks both of them and they gave her the gem.

Sakura "I've already asked Clow Reed what to do with this gem Anyhow do you two want lunch?" 

Keroberus "Sure."

At the Magical Cherry Tree

Sakura inserts the gem in the middle of the cherry tree.

Sakura "Keroberus. Yue. Here."

She gives them a heavy chain.

Keroberus "What is this for?"

Sakura "Just tie me up to this tree Then when Li gets out of the Cherry tree, run to his Apartment and stay there for the night. However don't go out looking for me until morning."

Yue "Why Mistress?"

Sakura "Please For a favor."

Yue and Keroberus nod their heads.

That Night

Yue "Master Li Can you come with us right now?"

Keroberus goes next to him.

Keroberus "Get on."

Li "What?  Where's Sakura?"

Yue "The Mistress told us to go to your house as soon as you got out of this cherry tree Now can you come with us?"

He gets on Keroberus.

In Li's Apartment

Li "Now tell me. What's with Sakura?"

Yue "We don't exactly know?  She never told us why we shouldn't follow her at night."

Li "OkLet's look for her right now."

Keroberus "No way kid. Our Mistress asked us to stay here for the night without going out trying to look for her until the sun comes up."

Yue "Get some sleep Master Li There will be a long day ahead of us."

* Li's Dream *

Wolves howl and tigers roar. A monster with black stripes and gray fur roars in front of the full moon light. It's sharp white fangs and claws made it look so dangerous you wish you never want to meet it in the first place. While the creature stands it's mixture of a tiger and a wolf makes you feel that its job is to kill anything it sees. He saw a heavy chain on the floor. Li looks at the 80 ft. monster in a tree near by. With its huge pointy ears picked up it look at the tree he was in and creates a black and red beam in its hands. Li jumps out of the tree and the blasts knocked the tree down. *That beam that the creature blasted out has an incredible attack although there's something familiar about it. * He strikes back at the next attack but the beam from the creature's hands made his Lightning attack disintegrate and Li jumps away from the ray. Li wakes up. *What?  No creature can have powers like that. Unless that's Sakura No Way. *

He wakes up.

Yue "Master Li We are waiting for your orders." He gets out of bed.

Li "Lets go."

In the park

Keroberus "Sakura!"

Yue "Mistress!"

Li "Where could she be?"

Madison "Hey!  What's up?"

Madison appears behind Yue.

Keroberus "We are looking for Sakura."

Madison "Oh."

When they came up to the cherry tree the heavy chain was broken in half. *

Just like in the dream. * When they came to the corner they found her lying on the floor.

Madison "Sakura."

Yue carries Sakura up and brings her home.

Sakura's House

*I wonder how Sakura ended up there? * Sakura rubs her head while moaning.

Madison "Your all right!"

Sakura "How long was I asleep?"

Madison "Ever since this morning when we found you."

Yue "Mistress. Why did you want Keroberus and I to tie you up?"

Sakura "I can't tell you that When it's time I will."

Keroberus "Just like Clow Reed! Why can't anyone tell us what's going on?!"

Li "Keroberus calm down! Don't get so angry!"

Yue goes outside. Sakura and Madison giggle. Sakura covers the group with a white mist along with calling her staff. The clock struck 10.

Sakura "AHHH!"

Sakura falls down in pain.

Madison "Sakura!"

Li "Are you ok?"

She gets up. Li and Madison help her.

Sakura "Yeah I'm ok Thanks Master Staff! Release!"

She holds her staff up and it turns into her Master staff.

Yue comes through the door.

Yue "Mistress. I have heard that there is a black dragon flying above the city."

Sakura "What?"

Keroberus "With Kagi on it's back."

Li "Lets go."

Sakura turns her staff back to the average staff. She grabs her arm and tries not to shout out the pain inside.

Li "Something wrong?"

Sakura "No I just had a scary thought."

Sakura follows him. 

On a Building

Yue "Keroberus Does this creature remind you of anything?"

Keroberus "No."

Li "Can you give us a hand you two?!"

Li and Sakura were already attacking the dragon from a nearby apartment.

Keroberus and Yue fly to the dragon and tries stopping it from destroying the city. The dragon uses its fire and Keroberus does the same causing a gigantic explosion. Keroberus was blown away while the dragon keeps going until it knocked Keroberus to the ground. Yue shot his arrow to its eye and starts throwing crystals at it. The dragon grabs Yue.

Sakura "Hey! Don't you dare hurt Yue or Keroberus!"

Li and Sakura let out a blast at the dragon. It was knocked off the sky onto the ground. Li and Sakura go next to Keroberus and Yue.

Madison "Sakura!"

Madison appears running behind them.

Madison "What happened here?"

Li "That stupid Dragon did this."

Sakura "uhh"

She faints.

Li "Hey what's goin on?" 

Madison "Come on Lets go to the park and let her rest there."

Li runs to the park and puts Sakura down on a bench and saw the dragon circling the city. He chanted a spell.

Li "A-niche."

A greenish shield covers her.

Madison "Are you sure that this shield is strong enough to protect her?"

Li "Positive."

Yue "Come on."

Li and Madison go on a building.

Keroberus "Are you going to start without us kid?"

Li "No You two just came in time."

Yue "Where's the Mistress?"

Li "She's sleeping and she is covered by my shield."

Wolves howl and tigers roar. A red light appeared in the park. Li, Yue,

Keroberus and Madison turned around seeing a huge tiger - wolf like creature w/ gray fur and black stripes. * It's the same beast from my dream. * It's crimson eyes look at the blood colored moon and it howls. The dragon turns around and responded to it. Then the dragon shoots at the enormous creature with its fire. There was no effect on the monster. In return the creature forms an energy sphere and shoots back at it. The dragon falls to the ground and the beast walks away.

Madison "Wow! Only one blast and it's down."

Yue "How can such beast have that much power?  That Dragon was like a useless monster." The creature passes by the building they were on.

Yue "What? The Beast of the dark. Here?  I only thought it was a myth unless" Madison "I guess we got lucky today..."

The Dragon stood back up. It was half bleeding and close to death but it still had its guts.

Keroberus "Well lets finish it off."

Li "LIGHTN"

Ms. Mackenzie "Wait don't destroy that dragon yet!"

Li "What?"

Eli "Let us take care of it."

Eli says appearing in a white cloud of mist.

Madison "Eli! Your back!"

Eli "Yup."

Yue "It's nice to see you again."

Ms. Mackenzie "We're going to send this Creature back where it came from."

Eli and Ms. Mackenzie make two dark circles and combined it creating an orb.

They throw it at the dragon and the black orb caught it. With a snap it disappears. The morning sun came up Sakura was in the woods on the floor ~ Uh oh I've got to get back to the bench. They shouldn't know anything about my disappearance. ~ She transports herself back on the bench and fell asleep again.

In Akum's castle

Akum "I can't believe it. How can it do that? I sent my most powerful dragon to get it."

Akum hits the table and it breaks in half.

Akum "THIS CAN'T BE!!!"

In the background.

Mystery person "Akum can you come with us?"

Author's note The Beast of the Dark? What is that? No one really knows... But will Sakura tell than about this creature? More mysteries will be reavealed.
