A lot of people email me the same questions so I created this page to try to answer them all at once.
The latest questions are added at the bottom.
Why do you like Cardcaptors so much?
I fell in love with Cardcaptors the first time I saw it back in June of 2000. I thought, what a neat idea, you could have a different card for each episode, I loved the story line idea.
I loved Cardcaptors so much I wanted to make a web site for it, but not just any site, one that I myself would enjoy going back to again and again.
I didn't know anything about making a web site either. So I did some surfing to see what was already out there and what has already been done.
I noticed two things, first only a couple of sites had any screen shots, and second no one could tell me what kinds of toys or other products to buy.
I decided to do the research and make my site devoted to the marketing and merchandise for Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptors.
I learned about the original series and the origins of Cardcaptors. I spent hundreds of hours sending emails, getting permission, making inquiries, etc.
to get all I could to make my web site. Many eBay sellers were very helpful in this task. I had limited HTML knowledge so I studied some more and have gotten very good at it,
all thanks to Cardcaptors which gave me the will to do so.
How do you capture images from television?
I went out and bought a WinTV GO to capture screen images which can be found at Best Buy, Comp USA, etc.
How did your web site become so popular?
When I was ready, August 17 of last year, I joined several Top Sites and emailed others to take a look at my site so I could get their input.
I received lots of positive feedback for being the first specialize in marketing images,
and then later on to have one of the largest TV image galleries. My site might be the one of a select few to even have Cardcaptors
TV commercial images too, since that also is marketing and advertising.
Do you enjoy working on your site?
I really do enjoy working on my site. It was my love for Cardcaptors that made me want to make one in the first place. I may be 26 years old, but I love the show. People send me images all the time.
Where do you find the time?
I make the time, that's all there is to it.
Don't you think the dub messed it up the original version?
I realize that certain parts of Cardcaptor Sakura were removed or changed because of US audiences.
But so what, I love the show anyway, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
I have purchased every subtitled video that has come out.
I've purchased many Japanese Cardcaptor Sakura items from eBay, anime conventions, and other online stores
too.
Why do you love Cardcaptors? Haven't you been to Cardcaptors-Uncensored web site?
I don't support that site because I don't care what they cut out,
I'll see the deleted scenes in the Subtitled tapes released by Pioneer.
There's no need to OVER-ANALYZE every single episode and to refer to the dub is evil.
Why is there a need to create a negative site?
When a web site says mean things about a show I love, then I don't visit or support them.
I realize what I ever I say won't change people's minds, but that's my opinion.
Besides, Cardcaptors made me want to learn HTML, JAVA, and other things as well.
I have a lot to be thankful for.
They took out 3 seconds in one scene, SO WHAT! No one is forcing you to watch the Cardcaptors so quit complaining!
Don't you think the voices in the dub are all wrong and don't fit the characters?
I disagree. I've seen the dub and the original and I like the voices in both. Again, that's my opinion, and you have your own.
Will you sign a petition to make the dub better?
No, I enjoy the show the way it is. Do not be mad at me for having my own opinion.
WHY CAN'T I RIGHT-CLICK?!
I did not do all of the work, and put all my effort into my site, just so anyone can come by and take whatever they want. That's not fair to me.
Would my site be unique if everyone had the same images I do? If you spent a great deal of time capturing images from television,
compressing them, and adding them to your web site, then I come along and took what I wanted, how would you feel? In the beginning I tried to be nice and share my screen captures,
but some sites took advantage of this and took more then they were suppose to, so I had to stop doing that.
Why do you go after sites that took your images? Even if it's just 1 or 2 images?
It's not fair for me to do ALL THE WORK and for others just help themselves to what ever they want. It could be 1 image or a 100 images, it's still stealing
and I won't tolerate it.
Don't you think that's greedy that you won't share?
No, put yourself in my position, and for the record I have shared. I have also captured separate screen shots for other web sites for many
Cardcaptors episodes and have shared them with several sites.
I want to build a site, can I have take some images to help get me started?
Key word here is "take". Please don't take my images. I don't mind helping and I can send you a couple to help get you started,
but I'm not going to give them all away. I recommend signing up for a Geocities account, they have a great online page builder for the novice.
I want my site to merge with your site. Can we do that?
I have worked very hard on my site and it is very personal to me. I do not plan on merging with any site.
I was thinking, does your license plate read something like "SAKURA" or "CCSROCKS" or something else Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura related?
Submitted by **Dondon Pikachu** 11/30/01
Well, I wish it did but it doesn't. If I do get one made, I'll certainly take a picture of it and add it to the site.
Hi, I was just wondering what is your favorite character?
Submitted by Wolflover4444 12/03/01
Slammed with a tough one, well to be honest I like them all, but if I really have to choose one character it would have to be
Sakura. She didn't ask to be involved in such a huge responsibility at an early age. Sakura has shown true bravery, courage, and heart in many
situations, which has proven to me that she has a remarkable character.
I recently Purchased a "Clow Book" From a retail store.
It said that it had all 52 original Clow Cards within it. When I went through the Cards I found one called "The Clow". Is that a Mistake or is there really such a card?
Thanks.- Millennium Phoenix
Hey thanks! I'll investigate it immediately! Wow a new mystery!
To my knowledge there is no exact Clow Card called The Clow. Was it suppose to be The Cloud? Was image is on the card?
Attention Fans: If anyone else ran into this, let me know.
UPDATE:
It turns out THE CLOW card is THE GLOW card. When they printed it, the G was not complete, and it looked like a C.
Why do you have two home1.html pages?
Well sometimes I can't login to my Fortunecity account. Other times Geocities shuts down that account for an hour
if it passed their allocated bandwidth limit. So by having two main pages on two different accounts,
it's a good bet that at least one of them will be updated if the other has not. Links to both home1.html pages is on the main index page.
I want to buy stuff I saw on your site. How much is ____?
I designed my site to show all the fans what's available out there to look for and collect.
I have a large collection myself, but nothing is for sale.
I bought many items from eBay, Comic Shops, and Anime Conventions I've attended.
How can I find a comic shop where I live?
I found mine by looking in the Yellow Pages under comics.
Where did you get the Java code to prevent right-clicks?
I went to a search engine, llike Google, and did a search for "free java scripts".

I simply have one suggestion for you. Instead of having the usual Fanfic contests, why not post some on your site?
If people want to have their story posted, they will send them in.
Simple, ne? Just try it and if it works, keep it going. If not, then too bad.
The problem with fanfics is it's extremely difficult to protect one's work on the internet. It's very easy to copy text on a web site, paste it somewhere else, change a few things and
call it theirs when they didn't even write it. It's kinda funny when you said "usual Fanfic contests" because there were no fan fic contest for the ones in August, so I only did it once
for one of the contests in December so there's nothing usual about it. I don't like having Fan Fic contests anyway because they take a long time to judge and I cannot protect the
writers work if I post all the entries. However, if someone sends me fan fiction to specifically display on my site, then I'll do so.

What happened to Cardcaptors on Kids WB! I set my VCR to tape the show today and X-men was on instead. I hate X-men! Why did they stop showing Cardcaptors?
This is sort of the same thing that happened last year. Remember when Meilin's Story was the last new episode at
the end of 2000, then we didn't see Cardcaptors again until March 2001. It's all about ratings and fans support. X-Men
replaced Cardcaptors in November 2001 because of November sweeps where nothing matters to networks but ratings, and
since Kids WB claims to be a mostly "boy audience", they changed the schedule around to get ratings from those demographics.
As of right now, they are no plans to show Cardcaptors during January. So what can you do? Email Kids WB. I had posted a message on my
main page with an email message you can send to Kids WB. If the fans want the show back, then they will bring it back. There is good
news though, Cardcaptors has not been cancelled. Static Shock, Men in Black, and Batman Beyond have all been cancelled by Kids WB,
but not Cardcaptors, so there is hope. Email Kids WB and express your opinions as they do listen to their viewers.

Do you know if Cardcaptors Season 3 will reach Kids WB anytime soon. Have you seen it?! I would sure like to see it!!
No, not yet. To the best of my knowledge, there is no Season 3 planned for Cardcaptors on Kids WB. That's why I've been lobbying others to email
Kids WB and ask for a Season 3 of Cardcaptors. Kids WB does listen and reads their mail, so if they get a lot about a show, then they tend to
do more for that show. This is how we got Cardcaptors back in December. Remember it was removed in November and replaced with X-Men Evolution
because of November sweeps, when networks are only concerned with ratings and nothing more. Nelvana has dubbed the entire series of Cardcaptor Sakura,
with the exception of the second movie. It's up to Kids WB as to which episodes to air. I wish I lived in Canada because Teletoon is showing
the entire dubbed series in the original order it was meant to be seen in. Kids WB really messed up there, but since they mainly have a boy audience,
they felt boys wouldn't enjoy some of the episodes of Cardcaptors because there was no action or something. Oh well. The best advice I can give is to
email Kids WB from their web site. Thank them for showing Cardcaptors and ask for a season 3 because it's one of your favorite shows.

Hey I was just wondering is there any plans to show Cardcaptors on Cartoon Network again? I know they did for some week in the summer. Oh, and are those
episodes more liberal than the ones shown on KidsWB?? haha just wanted to know...
Kids WB/The WB Network and Cartoon Network (CN) had to reach an agreement a while back because each network was fighting the other for ratings, especially between 4PM and 5PM.
At first Kids WB asked CN to show less popular/interesting shows and CN said no. There were some heated discussions as I understand it. The two networks finally reached an agreement.
Toonami on CN will not be on between 4PM and 5PM anymore. Kids WB agreed to show one episode from several of CN's Cartoon Cartoons each Saturday morning for a while, including Samari
Jack, Power Puff Girls, and Ed, Ed, and Eddie. In return CN aired Cardcaptors from June 4, 2001 - June 22, 2001. They were the exact same episodes in the same order aired as they
appeared on Kids WB, so no changes were made to the dubbed episodes themselves. Not soon after another agreement was reached between the two networks. On July 30, 2001,
Toonami started on Kids WB from 3-5PM. Then at 5 PM, kids could switch over to CN for more Toonami. This agreement has worked for both networks. Kids WB agreed to promote and air
commercials for CN's shows and vice versa. Since July 30, Kids WB has aired 2-week specials of Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon. CN has aired one episode of Pokemon, Jackie Chan Adventures,
Cardcaptors, and 1 or 2 others during it's Friday night 7:30 PM time slot as part of Cartoon Cartoons. At this point it's unclear how long Toonami will be on Kids WB, but its worked so far
for the last 5 months. Also it's unclear if Cardcaptors will appear on Cartoon Network again. The best thing to do is email them and ask for it. Cartoon Network has less
restrictions then Kids WB so if we are to ever going to see the entire series dubbed, and shown in the original order it was meant to be seen in, Cartoon Network is the best
place to do that. They had great success with Sailor Moon in doing that.

What's your biggest pet peeve about other CCS/CC sites?
Well I would have to say the biggest annoyance to me would be when I visit a site and the first thing I read is "Sorry for not updating in so long, but..." Does anyone
really want to read about excuses? Just mention the updates already. The most common excuses I've seen include things like "I had too much homework" or "there is no news to
report"? I can understand homework, I have plenty myself, but every day? As far as no news to report, there's always some news somewhere to report, you just have to look for
it, like episode schedules, video release dates, what's planned for the site, etc..

Can I find the merchandise listed in your site here in Bangalore, India or where am I to find them? {on the net?}
To be honest, I don't know any Anime Stores that work out of India. I found FIRSTANDSECOND.COM
in a search engine on the internet. They mainly have videos. However you can visit Anime Web Turnpike. They have a lot of online Anime shops. Be sure to check if
they ship internationally. I've ordered many things from some of these online stores and have had no problems.

Will Cartoon Network start hosting Cardcaptors?
To be the best of my knowledge, the WB Network still has the rights to show Cardcaptors here in the United States until the end of 2002. Teletoon has the rights in
Canada until the end of 2003. Remember networks air what ever they want with the shows they have the rights to, that doesn't mean a particular show, like
Cardcaptors, will always be on in that time frame. If Cardcaptors or Cardcaptor Sakura is airing on a network outside of the US and Canada, please email me.

Is there a place I can go to see a world wide Anime Convention schedule?
January 18, 2002 - Submitted by Emily
If you can explain Cardcaptors to a person that never seen it which three words would you use?
Three words huh, well I would say, "I LOVE IT!" No really I would say something like, "Exciting! Lovable! Awesome!" or how about "A Wonderful
Adventure!" (substitute Adventure with Journey, Experience, Story) Well I hope that helps, only 3 words can be a little tough, for any show.

Have you seen the two images of Sakura and Li as teenagers?
Yes I have seen them.
Are they for the new series?
There is no evidence of a new series. That's just a false rumor put out by a fan site. I've contacted several people overseas and they know nothing about a new series.
Where can I find these images I've heard about?
I saw them on a fan site, but I won't mention which one. There's no reason to add more hysteria.
Do you know who made the images and will you put them on your site?
No I don't know who made them. Sorry I won't put them on my site.
Do you think they are real?
Good question. I've examined them and concluded that they are simply fan art, nothing more.
Why do you say that?
If you've seen the images or know where they are, then look at both of them closely.
Notice Sakura's head and hair are exactly the same in both. It's easy to cut and paste
in today's image software.
Are you sure these aren't for a new series?
Yes I am. If there was a new series coming out, where's the Press Releases and promotions? If these two images were a promotion, then where's the fine print? Where's the CLAMP or
Kodensha logos and copyright symbols?
I consider the matter closed on this subject. You are of course free to have your own opinions, but I'll stand by
mine. Please do not email me anymore about those two images. The above FAQ
should handle everything.

For months, I have been searching the web, trying to find good Cardcaptor posters. All I have really found are repetitive ones featuring Sakura (alone or
with Kero) in one outfit or another. That's not what I had in mind. I did, however, find the ones that I was looking for on your website. I know that you
do not sell them, but I was wondering if you good give me the name of the site or sites that you purchased them from, particularly the posters on pages 1,4,
and the bottom of page 5. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.
There are a couple of comic shops near where I live that I get a lot of posters from. I've also found many at some of the Anime conventions I've attended.
Look in the yellow pages under comics for any comic shops near where you live. They may have something.

Why is Cardcaptors shown so much more in Canada than in the US?
The answer lies in the shareholders. The shareholders of TELETOON are the Family
Channel (40%), YTV (20%) Nelvana (20%) and Cinar (20%). Since Nelvana owns one fifth
of the network, they have a large say as to what is aired, and since they have the rights
to Cardcaptors, that's what they've pushed.

Before Clow Mansion went down, there was a Michael that updated there. Is that you?
Yes that was me. I did a few updates and format modifications,
then the site went down for reconstruction.

Hi I was wondering for the press release page what is that restaurant? Is it
only in the USA? if not where are they located because I live in Canada.
Hardee's and Carl's Jr are owned by Carl Karcher Restaurants. I've personally never seen a Carl's Jr, but Hardee's is all over the US.
It's a fast food place like McDonald's or Burger King. Here's the Hardee's web site: http://www.hardees.com/ Hopefully there is a place near where you live.
I plan on making sure I visit mine and get all the toys and stuff.
Here's Carl's Jr web site link: http://www.carlsjr.com/home/
I hope this helps. I'll probably get some extra toys and save them for the contests I'll have in August.

Will they come out with new episodes? or is that it? -- Craig
Well that depends on where you live. If you're in Canada you're in luck because Nelvana owns 20% of Teletoon so they have a big say as to what airs. They've
actually gone to the original beginning and showing all episodes in the correct order. We're not so fortunate in the US.
Since Kids WB in the US is primarily a "boys" audience network, management felt that they would loose a
great deal of the ratings if a show like Cardcaptors featured a girl as the main star. This explains why they never aired the first several episodes of the
original show were not shown. The entire series was dubbed, but Kids WB chose what episodes to air in a random order, which explains the discontinuity you
might have noticed in the first season. If you remember the last couple of years, Cardcaptors aired from June/July to December, then briefly again in March
the next year, then start up again in July. This is sort a what I hope will happen. Kids WB has already released several press releases about shows they
have renewed, and Cardcaptors hasn't been listed yet. So what can us fans do? Email Kids WB from their web site asking for the show's return. I've been doing
it for several months now myself. Kids WB still has the rights to air the show in the US so it's still possible. Here's another spin if it wasn't complicated
already. If Kids WB sells the rights to air the show in the US, then Cartoon Network might be interesting in picking it up, I say "might" very loosely because
shows aren't that cheap and they already spent a great deal of their budget for this year. It's a toss in the air. I hope we learn something soon.
Thanks for the email and for visiting my web site. Cardcaptors is my favorite show, so I'll do what I can to help in it's return. Kids WB might argue
that they've shown the ending of the series and fans might not have a need to "fill in the gaps" per say and see episodes not aired. I would disagree. There
are several Clow Cards that I'd like to know how they were captured myself.

I've never been to an anime convention before, but would like to go to the
Sakura Con coming this April in Seattle. I have no idea what to expect. I
know it's a 3 day weekend thing, but do people usually go for one day, or
all of them? Also, I was checking and the price to get in is more then
$50. Is that the usual fee to get into one of these events? What is there
to do and see at these anime conventions?. I'm so clueless, but would like
to learn?
Ok, $50 for the weekend is pretty much standard. At an Anime Convention there's lots to do. Once you register, be sure to look at your program guide. There's really no reason to go on Friday unless you want to. If you have a money issue and you live close to where the convention is being held you can simply drive there verses staying in a hotel. If money is more of a problem, then simply go only on Saturday or only on Sunday. There will be lots to do on each day. Some people only go on Saturday and I've found that Saturday is more crowded then on Sunday. Check the program guide, find out where things are, set up a schedule for yourself, and follow it. Remember some conventions take up more then one floor of the building they are in so keep that in mind.
If you're specifically going to look for merchandise, then most of your time will be in the dealer's room. Here's a hint, most of the good stuff is sold on Saturday so if you go on Sunday only and you're looking for a particular item, it might be gone. However, some dealers mark the prices down on Sunday so they can sell the stuff and don't have to repack it up and take it back with them.
Some people go just to watch the movies. There will probably be several video rooms where they'll show all kinds of movies all weekend long. Don't get stuck in here unless you want to or the day will go by much faster and you might miss out on other things. There'll also be rooms for roleplaying games, video games, and maybe other workshops like learning how to paint
Anime Cels or discussion groups where people get together to talk about anime shows or whatever.
Some people go strictly to meet a guest speaker. Your program guide should have a list of all special guests, what they worked on, and where they'll be at a certain time. When I went to Katsucon a month ago, I specifically went to see Lisa Ortiz and get her autograph, and I did. Everything else I did was just an added bonus for me. Remember if you go there for a reason, make sure you accomplish that mission.
The admission fee if standard. Go to the convention's web site and check out what the fees are. Sometimes it's better to buy a Sat/Sun pass verses each day individually (unless you're only going for one day). The admission fee goes to pay for the hotel/convention center, guest speakers' hotel rooms and food, etc. If the convention is close by, I usually go only on Sunday. If I go both days I know I'll spend more money then I should.
If you're looking for overseas items, then spend most of your time in the dealer's room. Depending on how many there are, it could take several hours to get to them all. This can be tricky, if you see something you want, you might not buy it right away because another dealer may have it cheaper at their table. However, if it's a one of a kind item, it might not be there when you come back after deciding to get it. It's pretty much what ever you want to do. I saw one person who went to an anime convention specifically to buy nothing but Anime Cels and he spent quite a bit of money. Here's another tip, if you think you can get it cheaper on ebay (including shipping) then don't buy it at the convention. Just keep in mind that there are many unique things you may never see on ebay, such as specific Anime Cels for example since every one is different. Remember dealers pay something like $150-200 per table/space so they have to sell that much just to break even. That money also goes to pay for the hotel and guest speaker fees.
BRING A CAMERA! I usually bring one of those disposable cameras (with a flash). You'll see lots of fans dressed up in many costumes for their favorite characters from a variety of shows. About 99% of the fans that dress up WANT their picture taken so don't be afraid to ask them "can I take your picture?" I know if I had a costume I'd want my picture taken, especially if I made the outfit myself I would want to show off my work. Be on the lookout for people taking pictures. I've found that as soon as someone poses for a pictures, several other people join in and start taking pictures too. Also look for when characters are together. At one convention I was at, each character from Gundam Wing was represented and stood together for photos. There must of been several dozen people there taking pictures at the same time for that. You'll also have the chance to take a picture of a guest speaker. I took many of Lisa Ortiz and posted those pictures on my Slayers Web Site since she did the voice of Lina Inverse.
I hope this helps! :) Enjoy your first Anime Convention. I was completely blown away when I went to my first one so be prepared.

My friend and I love Cardcaptors and we are quite confused about if there is a movie in English for Cardcaptors or are they in Japanese with English
subscripts? Could you tell us where we could find these movies, and what language they are in. Thanks.
Sure I can help out. Ok "Cardcaptors The Movie" is in English. "Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie" is in Japanese with English subtitles. Both have the same
cover art, just the title is different so be sure to read the title carefully. The back of the package in small lettering on the bottom will also say if it's
dubbed (in English) or subtitled. Also I don't believe CCS The Movie was released in VHS format (DVD Only), but Cardcaptors The Movie is released in VHS
and DVD.
You can find both versions at Amazon.com and rightstuf.com for online shopping. In stores I bought mine at Suncoast Motion Picture Company in
my local mall (I call it Suncoast Video). If you have any video stores or comic shops near where you live I'd check them out or call them to see if they have
the movie in stock.

HEY I HAVE A QUESTION. A LOT OF WEBSITES I HAVE VISITED SAY WE HAVE NO BROKEN LINKS OR IF YOU SPOT ANY BROKEN LINKS CONTACT ME. MY
QUESTIONS IS WHAT ARE BROKEN LINKS.
Ok a broken link means if you click on a hyperlink to go to another page or see a full size image, and an error comes up because the page or image
linked to couldn't be found. Everybody expects to click on a link and go somewhere, so if you click on a link and get an error page, that means the
link is broken. It could mean something in the link was misspelled or the page/image wasn't uploaded to that server yet. This is why some sites say
if you find a broken link to email them so they can fix it. I hope this helps.

Hello. I saw somewhere that Cardcaptors will be on in
June 17, 2002; I was just wondering if it was true.
You probably know this already, but I do the research, pretty much daily. I haven't seen anything to indicate that Cardcaptors is coming back in July.
So far the series hasn't been renewed for another season. However, there is "some" light at the end of the tunnel, but not a very bright one. Kids WB
still has the rights to air Cardcaptors in the US. Furthermore, over the last two years it did start in the June/July time frame for the new season. Also
Cardcaptors still has a strong presence on the KidsWB web site, so there is hope. Nothing is written in stone until that time has come and gone. Cardcaptors was
not mentioned in the most recent KidsWB Press Release. Email KidsWB and ask for the show to return. That's the best thing to do.

Hey there, fellow Cardcaptors fan! This is going to be about the 2nd movie. I
was wondering if they dubbed THAT movie yet.
Here's what I know up to this point. Nelvana does not have the rights to dub the second movie yet. They only had the rights to dub the 3 series (which we saw
only a small portion in the US) and the first movie that was just released. I don't know why they didn't get rights for the second movie yet. Sounds strange
to me too, but that's what I know to be true as of right now.

I was wondering if you could help me with something? You see I really enjoyed your episode clips and am hoping to buy the package you used, but the thing is
you see I need to know how you get the still clips (you know the episode clips) so I can work out if I need to get any thing extra or if it all comes with the
package! In simple terms I would like to know how you did it. If you could give me a simple but thorough answer I'd really appreciate it.
When you mention episode clips, I assume you are talking about Screen Shots. All images from television were captured by using WinTV-GO Model 190 that I
purchased from for $49.99. It's available at Staples, Best Buy, Comp USA, etc. The company that makes this product is called Hauppauge and their link is
http://www.hauppauge.com/ On their web site, click the top left link to see the different products. It's a piece of hardware so it's installed on the inside
of your computer. Make sure you have two slots available in the back because certain parts will stick out. Your cable line connects in the back on one part.
The other part has a wire that comes with it which will connect itself back into the computer to allow sound through your speakers. If you ever have any questions
or problems, there are links on the bottom of their homepage with helpful information. When I first got my WinTV-GO, I wasn't getting any sound through my speakers.
Silly me had the sound wire connected in the wrong place. You've seen how much I've been able to do with it. I think you'll enjoy it. The WinTV-Go can also be connected
to your VCR so if you recorded something, you can go back and capture images later.
If you were referring to the Animation, I used software called Animation Shop 2, which is part of Paint Shop Pro. Once I captured the screen shots, I inserted them
into Animation Shop in the order I wanted (there's a wizard that guides you through this process), then chose the speed, viewed and fixed the speed if necessary, saved
it as a gif, and that's it. The only downside to animated gifs like this is they can become pretty large in file size very quickly, and as you know, the larger the file,
the longer it takes to download on the internet.

I just signed up for an account on the official Cardcaptors web site, and in the
email I got from them it said watch for Cardcaptors Saturday June 17. Does this
mean the show is coming back in June?
This appears to be the standard response email that is sent to everyone,
and it's way old. Here, I'll explain:
June 17, 2000 was a Saturday
June 17, 2001 was a Sunday
June 17, 2002 is going to be a Monday
I wish it were true that Cardcaptors is coming back, we can only pray and Email Kids WB.
I email everyday, sometimes 3 times a day, just using a different name (like Clow Reed, Li, etc.)
and picking the 3 subjects Cardcaptors, Ask Imhotep, and Show Comments.

You have lots of affiliates. Have you ever been turned down to be an affiliate?
Who was your first?
Honestly, yes I have been turned down, many times too. Nobody's perfect. In fact there was one fan site I liked a lot I applied multiple times before I was accepted. Well I was
persistent. I normally do not apply to be an affiliate with a site when they have rules like "MUST
HAVE MY BUTTON ON EVERY PAGE" or "MUST HAVE 1000 HITS PER DAY". Does any CCS/CC site really get 1000 hits per day? Yah only if their counter is on EVERY SINGLE PAGE.
My counter is on one page only, my index page, and that's it. It's the best way to know my exact hits to my main page. Many people link directly to my home1.html page
so it's possible my hit counter would be twice what it is if the counter was on my main CC page instead, but then it wouldn't be accurate.
You know it's difficult to figure out who my first affiliate is without checking my past updates. On May 16, 2001 I created an Affiliates Section. The first
members as I recall were Cardcaptors Squad, Sakura's Dream World, and US Cardcaptors. During my early days I was more concerned about having an updated
links page and really didn't know what Affiliates were. If I remember correctly, Holly in Canada explained it to me first. Her site, Cardcaptors Squad, was added
to my links page on January 28, 2001.
May 1, 2002 There has been an attack on my integrity! Read below:
The following is copied exactly as I received it:
Their is a law called "COPY RIGHT", the following should be changed.
- In MY ANIMATIONS
That so called "animation" that you made should not be under your own name, you did not make that, you may post that on your site but clam that as your own,
if you need more info on this subject matter contactme at. aps_finest@hotmail.com
I will be checking back to your site to see if the following changes have been made.
thank you for your time.
My response email I sent:
Uh, hello to you to. Usually the first thing I say is thank you for visiting my web site, but there's no need for you to send me a rude email.
Second, I captured all the television images myself. I've showed others how to do the same and have plenty of references if needed.
Third, I have an application called Animation Shop 2, which is part of Paint Shop Pro made by Jasc Software. This application allows me to put ANY image in ANY sequence I want, and combine them into an animated gif. So when it says I made the animation, I captured the TV images, compressed them, put them in sequence, and created the animated gif you see on my site. I certainly did not paint any anime cels for the show, nor do I claim I made anything for the show. I made an animated gif FROM the show, but NOT FOR the show.
Forth, yes I know what a Copyright law is, and I know how to spell it too. It's one word, not two. That's why if you notice that all the images captured are from television, not store bought video tapes or DVDs, which DO have copyrights laws protecting that.
Just so you know a bit more about me, I'm 26 years old and a Software Developer. I'm fully aware of the laws and regulations surrounding the television, music, video, movie, and entertainment industry. You're assumption that I don't is what's flawed here.
So by the way, since you didn't specify, I created or help create 11 web sites which can all be accessed here: http://www.geocities.com/grantm77
Feel free to email me back if you want to.
In your email you specifically said "I will be checking back to your site to see if the following changes have been made." So what changes are you talking about since you didn't list them? When you say "..the following changes.." aren't you suppose to tell me what they are since you feel you know more about copyright laws then I do?
The following 2nd email is copied exactly as I received it:
I have taken the riberty of e-mailing everyone of your friends back, the only thing I want to know is what kind of crap your feeding these people... You broke that law, you did not spend the time to draw the pictures that make up that animiation their for anything you do to the animation does not matter you can't clam that. I suggest you spend the time to change what you put in that area or the proper ingagements will occure.
My response email I sent to his second email:
I suggest that you choose your words a bit more carefully. First of all, you ought to check your emails before you send them, as you make way too many spelling and grammar errors. I haven't broken any copyright laws and my page is just fine. By the way, I'm not the only site to have animated gifs anyway, and I already explained to you how I made the animated gif in the first place. You obviously haven't read the lengthy disclaimer I have on my main page at
http://www.geocities.com/grantm77 so your threats have no meaning. You haven't even signed any email you sent with your real name, and you're using a hotmail account, which tells me you're not representing a business of any kind.
Just so you know, my web sites are very personal to me and I've spent a great deal of time on them. You could have handled your personal problems a bit better, but you just came out swinging. I don't appreciate that at all, so don't be mad at me because I informed many of my friends about your harsh words and false accusations.

Hi, i'm writing about some questions I have concerning Card Captors. Its May 9, 2002 and I haven't been able to find show times in the United States for
a long time, do you know the time and channel its on? I am also wondering about the movie, it says" For promotional use only not for sale or rent", does that
mean that you can't buy or rent this movie? Whats the reason of making a movie that nobody is allowed to see? I would be very gratefull if you could e-mail me back and give me some info.
Cardcaptors The Movie is available. I bought mine at Suncoast Motion Picture Company in my local mall. I sometimes call it Suncoast Video but it's the same store. The movie is also available at
http://www.amazon.com and do a search on cardcaptors. The movie is also available from RightStuf.com as well.
The "promotional use only" movie you saw on my site was an advance copy sent out to select stores to show on their TV's to help aid in sales of the release. I actually won it on Ebay and have never seen it anywhere else
since. I don't even know what stores it was sent to.
Speaking of TV's, I'm really sorry to say that Cardcaptors is currently not shown in the US and the UK. It's on Teletoon in Canada and Cartoon Network in Australia. The best thing to do (if you live in the US) is to
go to Kids WB web site at http://www.kidswb.com
and send them an email. I do it twice a day (once at work and once at home). They do get the emails and they do read them so as long as fans keep telling them to bring back
Cardcaptors, hopefully they will. Cardcaptors still has a page on the Kids WB web site and their characters still appear on a couple other pages so there is hope. All the press releases I've read, many from
http://www.toonzone.net, have mentioned the Kids WB Summer schedule and a list of cancelled shows. Cardcaptors wasn't mentioned on any of them
so it's a wait and see. Some people have tried to get the Cartoon Network to air Cardcaptors in the US since they have less strings attached then the main networks.
Here's a couple problems to help explain the situation. Kids WB claims to primarily be a boys block, which explains them airing episodes out of order and skipping others. They said they wanted Li to be a dominant
character in the show right from the beginning. Their only concern was ratings. Also, Nelvana owns the rights to Cardcaptors release in America. Nelvana is stationed in Canada. Nelvana owns 20% of Teletoon, which is
Canada's version of the Cartoon Network. That explains why Teletoon is showing every episode of Cardcaptors.
Please go to Kids WB web site and email them (link on the top right) that you want Cardcaptors back. Thanks.

Questions are in the body of the text:
How important is the design of a site?
Design is very important, I can't stress that enough. It's probably THE most important part of the whole process besides deciding to make a site in the first place. Once you know what you want your site will be about, you have to know what it's going to look like. You want to create a site that you yourself would enjoy visiting. There are many questions I ask myself before I start building a site: What's it about? (Usually for me its about a cartoon I like) Why am I doing it? (For me its enjoyable and a way to show what I can do, and its fun) Will I have a few pages, many pages, more than one theme featured on my site, etc.? (That depends on what I want to do myself for the site) Will the background be light or dark? (This is very important since that will help decide color for text, links, and images to use)
Many visitors like a site to be simple. They feel they shouldn't have to "hunt down" what they are looking for. Here's an example, a site has 5 main links Main, Sitey, Multimedia, Links, Exit. You pretty much have to guess where you go for a Link to Me page, is it under Sitey or Links? Many people I've talked to really hate when you go to one page of links, click one, go to another page of links, click one, go to another page of links, click one before finally getting to where they wanted to go in the first place. See the pattern? The visitor is already frustrated because he/she couldn't just go to one link from the beginning. Now's a good time to discuss a few sites I have with different layouts and why each worked well:
Let's look at Michael's Cardcaptors at http://www.geocities.com/grantm77/home1.html
I knew from the very beginning that I wanted lots of pages, lots of content, and room to grow. I looked at probably over 50 sites to see what others had already done, what worked and what didn't, what I liked, how each downloaded, etc. I could tell many used online page builders, which is fine for newbies. I looked at online page builders and noticed that they all use Java code. If you don't know Java code, then it's very difficult to do something specific in the code itself, so you rely heavily on the online page builder to do it for you, and many times it doesn't turn out how you want it to. After my initial research, I decided a 3-column format was best for me. I learned the HTML code to make one and it's not that hard to make at all. I found it's the easiest way to show the mamimum amount of links from one place, be clean, readable, accessible, downloadable, etc.
A 2-column site works well too. Look at Michael's Tenchi Universe at http://members.fortunecity.com/grantm4/tenchiindex.html
I knew I wanted a link for each episode of the series (I still need images for two episodes though), but I knew there wouldn't be that many, and to have them all in one place I think turned out well. If I tried a 3-column layout here, it wouldn't have worked well since there isn't that many links to new pages to go to. Plus in this way I could have the text bigger since I had more room to work with in the column.
Noone says you have to have columns. Look at Michael's Sailor Moon at http://www.geocities.com/grantm78/smhome.html
It's a very simple design showcasing images and links together. The blue links show up well against the pink background.
What do you think makes a good site graphically?
That's a very interesting question. I'm always big on color first. For example, its hard to read yellow text on a white background. Also if the text is too small and hard to read, visitors won't bother to try to read it. Color makes a big difference and can help or hurt your first impression of a site when you visit it.
For graphics, let's talk about images first. First you have to have images to work from. Without images, even the most colorful site isn't that exciting. Images offer variety, color, examples, and may help stress what you're talking about. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. There are other kinds of graphics as well, such as animated gifs.
Many sites offer free animated gifs such as moving lines, falling flower petals, etc. Animated gifs can help your site a lot. It makes visitor's eyes move, which is good since you don't want them focusing only on one part of your site. The only down side to animated gifs is download time. If a site takes too long to download, visitors get frustrated and leave, which is not our intent when they visit. Going back to images, that's why I compress my images and have taught others to do the same. There is a feature in Paint Shop Pro that allows you to "compress" an image, making it smaller in file size, and keeping the image integrity mostly intact. There is very little change in the image appearance, but it's smaller in file size so it downloads faster.
How much content is enough content?
Ah a very tricky question and difficult to address fully. Everyone will have a different opinion and answer to this question. It all depends on what you want to do and what you want your visitors to do. You can't have anything less then a starting point, a main page if you will. You have to decide what's going to be on my site.
Let's say you want to make a gallery site. I went to one site that had 150 Cardcaptor Sakura images on one page. Needless to say it took a very long time to download, even with a fast internet connection. If the creators had visited their own site, they would have seen how long it took and knew changes would be needed. 150 images is a lot of content, but to have them all on one page made visitors frustrated and not want to stay. If they had spread the images over several pages, than it would have been much better. That doesn't say you have to have 150 images to have a lot of content.
Lets say your site was to be about your favorite Cardcaptor Sakura character. Well visitors who love that character as well would want to know more about them, like bios and stats. Visitors may want to see more images of that character. Visitors may want to see the relationships that character has with others in the show. Visitors who own a site might want to link back to you. Visitors may want to see what sites you recommend or go to often. Recap, so far that's 6 pages right there: Main, Stats, Images, Relationships, Link To Me, and Favorite Links. So far you have a basic starting point of a design. If I'm creating this web site I know I'll need at least 5 links from my main page at a minimum. Each of those 5 pages will have something on them. I think that's pretty good for content purposes.
Can a bad design rule out good content?
In my opinion I would say no, though others may disagree with me on this. I say no because if you don't like what a site looks like, why go back knowing you'll see it again? Also if a page you want to go to is difficult to find, then you won't bother trying and go somewhere else. If the text is unreadable (bad color choices, too small, way too large) then you might get frustrated and not stay.
Those that would say yes would argue if the site offers what you are looking for, then you'll just deal with the bad layout and not let it get to you. I would argue why? Why should I "have" to deal with a bad layout? Even if it's the best content ever, if I don't enjoy what I'm looking at, why would I want to stay?.

Where can I find the Cardcaptors backpack?
There are several backpacks. Two of them were available at Toys "R" Us last year, but they are no longer carried.
The CCS backpack that comes with lots of stuff inside was only available in Japan.
I found mine in a local anime shop. I've also seen it on ebay and at anime convention dealer tables from time to time.
June 7, 2002
Do you think you have the biggest fan site?
Well I'm not sure. I try my best to update often. I guess after almost two years of updating,
my site has gotten rather huge with lots to see.
June 7, 2002
What is your favorite fan site besides your own?
If I give an answer to that question, then I would be playing favorites. There are many fans sites out there
I enjoy visiting, whether they are affiliates or not.
June 7, 2002
What's your favorite anime besides Cardcaptors?
I would have to say Saber Marionette J, Gundam Wing, Slayers, Fushigi Yuugi, and Yu-Gi-Oh rank as my top picks.
June 7, 2002
Do you actually read and respond to all the emails you get?
Yes as best as I can. I may be busy with lots of things, but I think its important to respond
to someone's email, especially if they have a question on something and they've looked everywhere
else and came to me as their last resort.
June 7, 2002
I may have a contest coming up soon, will you list it on your site, even if we're not affiliates?
Sure I will. It's always nice to tell the fans what's going on else where in the CCS/CC
world. My site is the first to list them in one place.
June 7, 2002
Your site already has a lot of affiliates, why would you want to affiliate with me?
I think its important to make lots of friend who love the same show I do. There are many fan sites I love.
Who says there has to be a set limit as to the number of affiliates a site can have anyway?
June 14, 2002
Have you heard anything of the Cardcaptor Sakura third movie? There's this club that shows anime and it said the could show the third
CCS movie! heard anything about the movie?
Based on all the knowledge I have and all the research I've done, there is no "3rd CCS Movie."
However, there are these mini shorts called the Tomoyo Diaries. I haven't personally seen them myself,
but I've heard if you combine them all together, I guess you could have a miniature movie. It's
"possible" this is what they were talking about, but I assure you, I have seen no evidence of an official 3rd CCS Movie. If there
was, then there would be all kinds of promotions, press releases, etc..
June 18, 2002
You have a Sailor Moon web site as well. Which character is your favorite? To put it another way, if its not too personal,
I was wondering, if you were a teenager, which Sailor Scout would you most want to be with? Also if its not too much trouble,
Sailor Moon is kind of a "girls show" so I was wondering why you made a nice site for it(?), which I like very much.
Sailor Mars hands down!! SAILOR MARS RULES!! That's not too personal, everyone has their favorite characters with any show they watch.
After I created my Cardcaptors site, I got a few emails from Sailor Moon fans that wondered if I could capture screen
images for the show and make a [small] site for it as well. That's how
Michael's Sailor Moon came to be, and its still growing with over 1,600 images!
Imagine that. I never thought it would be that big or that popular. Thanks for visiting!

Do u know when Cardcaptors is coming back on? Because I really like it n I want it back on so I can see it again. (I am a big fan of Cardcaptors!)
Hi! I wish I knew when Cardcaptors would come back. Kids WB has removed
Cardcaptors from their lineup and their web site, yet still hold the rights to show the series in the US.
Our best bet is to get Cartoon Network to pick up the series.
Cardcaptors is currently shown on Cartoon Network in Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Latin America, and Mexico. So why is
Cardcaptors not shown on Cartoon Network in America? PLEASE bring Cardcaptors to Cartoon Network in America. There are so many episodes
that Kids WB never showed, and I know you can do a much better job at showing Cardcaptors, in the order it was meant to be seen in.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
June 20, 2002
Can you please tell me all the tools you use for creating your site and stuff?
Software:
Microsoft FrontPage 2000 = HTML Page Creation Paint Shop Pro (PSP) = Image Compression, Creating Buttons Animation Shop = Animated Gif Building
WS_FTP95 = File Uploading WinZip = Zipping Files Microsoft Power Point = Creating Banners, Awards, Bubble Comics (save slide as JPG image)
Hardware: WinTV GO Model 190 = Screen Capturing

Hi. I live in America and am very sad to see that it won't be airing
on kids wb anymore. My friends and i send many e-mails asking them to show it
again but it is no help. Please keep trying to get it back on in America
I also email Kids WB everyday as well, and Cartoon Network a couple times a week. Here's the sad truth. KidsWB still has the rights to Cardcaptors. Unless they sell those rights, no other network can air the series. It's like they are
keeping Cardcaptors in their back pocket for an emergency or something. When they made major changes to their web site and removed Cardcaptors, that pretty much signaled to me that they cancelled the series, but there has never been any
"official word" in a press release, so technically Cardcaptors has not been cancelled. Cardcaptors pulled in strong ratings for KidsWB in every report I ever saw. That might be why they are "holding" on to the show. It's possible they are just
waiting for the contract to expire or something, but I haven't been able to get any contract information as that data is super secret, for any show.
My personal opinion is that KidsWB ordered a specific number of shows. Now that those have been aired, they aren't really obligated to show anymore. My other theory is that KidsWB has stretched themselves too thin now and couldn't air all the
shows they had (remember when Rescue Heroes was only on Wednesday afternoons, they had to fit it in somewhere).
Fan support is the only thing that can get the show back so keep emailing KidsWB as they do get and read their emails.
Also email your local WB network as they forward those emails to the proper channels. Every once in a while when I email KidsWB, I pitch the idea of having Yu-Gi-Oh and Cardcaptors back-to-back for "An Hour of Card Power" which would be an
excellent combination in programming.
I wish I had better news, but I'll keep emailing until something happens.
June 26, 2002 - from Jessica
Hi. I love your site. I hope that when cardcaptors comes back on air that you'll continue where you left off. Your images are superb! Keep up the great work.
I'll continue to screen capture Cardcaptors when it comes back, no matter what station it's on. I love the series very much.
Canada, Australia, UK, and several other countries have shown so many episodes we never saw. "IT'S NOT FAIR!" One thing I found
surprising is that Cardcaptors is on so many Cartoon Network stations across the globe, except our Cartoon Network in the US,
so be sure to email our CN as well along side KidsWB and your local WB station.
July 11, 2002
Wow you have lots of affiliates. Is there a CCS/CC fan site out there that has more than you? Would you take more affiliates?
Do you even visit your affiliates sites? Who's your favorite affiliate?
Actually yes there is. One of my affiliates called La pagina de CCS,
which is a Spanish site dedicated to CCS, let me count them...has 45 affiliates. I have, lets see...wow I have 52 not including my own other web sites.
Wow I'm honored to have so many, and I never really counted them before. Cooooooool. To answer your second question, yes I would certainly take more!
It's nice to meet new friends and help each other out. I regularly check out my affiliates to see what there doing, what they've added
if there are any new contests to participate in, etc. About my favorite affiliate, well I can't really say. I don't like to play favorites by saying I like a site more than another, I enjoy visiting them all, but I do enjoy visiting sites more that update often.
July 12, 2002
I'm just wondering, is there any other way Cardcaptors fans could persuade Kids
WB to air the show (besides e-mailing them)?
Yes there is actually. Another thing I do is I email my local WB station for several reasons.
1. Mostly, many of these WB stations have their own marketing and programming staff. So emailing your local WB station lets the local staff know what the local people want to watch. Remember everything comes to ratings. If you watch something else instead of WB, like Cartoon Network for example, they take notice. Cardcaptors pulled in excellent ratings the entire time it was on KidsWB so taking it off seemed stupid to me, but that's contract stuff.
2. Each WB station reports to a higher authority. All emails sent to local WB stations are read, documented, then forwarded to the proper higher powers. Local WB stations can tell upper management that they are getting lots of emails for a particular show to be aired, and then they try to convince them to do so. On top of that, local WB stations also can control what they air in other time slots. My friend Kyle in Washington State doesn't have a full pledged WB station. It's kinda like a combination of WB and UPN, and he doesn't even get all the current KidsWB slots like we do, but they air other cartoons.
3. When all else fails, email Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Nickelodeon, etc.. They may have a better chance of getting the show if KidsWB is being stubborn. What I've been trying my hardest to find out is the contract details on how long KidsWB has the rights to Cardcaptors. As long as they have the rights,
no one else can air the series, which totally stinks. So far the only thing I've found (not proven yet) is that KidsWB negotiated
exclusive rights to air Cardcaptors in the US. They then gave Cartoon Network permission to air the first season in the US one time and that was it.
I wish I had better news and better advice, but the more emails you send, the more you are heard.
4. Also not watching KidsWB makes a statement as well since everything is about ratings in the TVworld.

Hi! I have just visited your website, and I think its wicked! And I haven't even looked at it all yet!
I totally agree with you about the dub, because I like in the UK, and that's the only thing I have ever seen, and it would terrible if I
didn't get to see it anymore. I have looked on quite a few CC sites, including Cardcaptors uncensored, but it doesn't change my opinion, I still love the characters and the storyline.
Anyway I was wondering who organizes the conventions?
I looked on your link to the anime conventions page, and there is only one in the UK, but I wouldn't be able to get there its too far away, and I wanted to ask some one if they might have any conventions nearer to where I live.
Do you know any e-mail addresses of any of the organizers?
You can tell I'm a dedicated fan! I love working on my web site and it gives me great joy to read emails like yours. I love Cardcaptors very much. I don't support Cardcaptors Uncensored because I don't care what they cut out. Don't rely on too many other fan sites that don't like the dub version because they don't have all the facts straight. I saw a site the other day that said "and they didn't even dub the episodes in order..." Well yes they did, it's only what was shown is where the order is a bit goofy. KidsWB here in the US really messed up on that, which is why so many other episodes have been seen in Canada, AUstalia,m and the UK that we never saw in the States.
As far as Anime Conventions go, they are usually run by fan groups. It takes a lot of effort since you have to figure things like where to have it, renting space, getting dealers to sign up, registration, booking guest speakers, yada yada yada. It's the same as if a group put on a Comic or Star Trek convention, same kind of concept. I don't have any contact information for a specific convention. The best thing to do is to visit the convention's web site or go to http://www.fansview.com/consked.htm and find one that may be close to you some time. I'm not sure where you live exactly, but there is an anime convention in the UK Nov 1-3, 2002. There was one back in March of this year too, and you can check their web site for their next one.

I love Cardcaptor Sakura and the English Cardcaptors very much.
Why does it seem like more and more fan sites are closing down, or go on hiatus only to never return?
I've noticed the same thing as well. It's funny because when its Fall, Winter, and Spring, the excuses I've seen is "I have too much homework" or "I'm too busy with sports and other things."
During the summer time I see other excuses like "I'm on vacation" or "I'm too busy" and so on. However lately I've noticed the trend of excuses lean more towards things like "Cardcaptors is fading now so I'm not updating anymore" and
mess like that. What's the deal?
If you love a series, whether its on TV or not, you should never out grow it or loose interest simply because you don't see it everyday. Sometimes I wonder where the loyalty of the fans truly are.
I loved watching Voltron, Battle of the Planets, and other anime growing up. Just because they are not on TV now doesn't mean they have faded away and I'm not interested in them anymore. Come on.
Loyalty for a series or favorite show should live on forever.
What I really don't get is when someone puts all that time and effort into making a site, then closes it down later.
So all the effort was a waste of time? I don't understand the logic in that myself. Even if they don't feel like updating anymore, doesn't mean they
couldn't keep the site up for others to enjoy.

What is the craze with every fan site saying "please sign my guest book"?
With all your wonderful sites, how come you don't have one? I might be making
a site soon and I wanted your opinion on whether I should have one or not. Thanks.
Great question. I'm not sure why everyone feels they must have a guest book, and get angry or upset when it's not signed everyday.
I personally don't like guest books because anyone can type anything they want in there and you have no control over that.
I don't have the time to "police" a guest book to rebuttal any
unnecessary comments. I'd rather get an email because unlike a guest book, I'm not asking those specific questions. Besides, if there is a complaint,
I'd rather handle it myself then have the whole world read it in a guest book.

I just wanted to ask you a question. In England, CITV on Sundays starts Card Captors with a techno style
intro song by Jack Lee?? Do you know anything about this song?
Cardcaptors seems to have different theme tunes all over the world! The United Kindgom theme
tune for Cardcaptors used to be the same as the American one, but later CITV has been
playing the same animation to a dance song. Here is where the information is a bit confusing. One source quotes the new song as called
"Razzamatazz" by a group called Froggy Mix. However, the name of the song from Froggy Mix on the Cardcaptors soundtrack is called
"No Nagging." In any case, that's the only techno style song I know of used on Cardcaptors. In Australia and New Zealand, they have
an English version of the first CCS theme tune, "Catch You Catch Me".

I was a little confused at something mentioned on your CC press release page.
Are they stopping release of the Cardcaptors episodes on
DVD or what exactly is the deal? Amazon only seems to have dvd's listed up to the episodes surrounding the Star Card beginning.
Yes you are correct. Pioneer has decided not to make or distribute any more
Cardcaptors VHS tapes and DVD's. This is further true by visiting Pioneer's Coming
Soon page at http://www.pioneeranimation.com/search.php?view=comingsoon
which they have every video/DVD coming out for the rest of the year. There are two Cardcaptor Sakura ones coming, but no more Cardcaptors.
I've emailed them many times asking to please continue to make Cardcaptors videos, but they don't return my emails anymore. I think the
decision has already been made, yet there has never been a press release indicating the truth. I even asked them is they would make a
box set to include all the remaining Cardcaptors episodes, which would end the series.
Then they would only have to produce one more release,
but I never got a response back from them.

This is more of an opinion question, but I was wondering if you have seen the second card captor sakura movie? If you have I was just wondering what you thought of it? I thought that it could have been a little longer. But I just wanted to know what another cc/ccs fan would think of it!?
I saw the second movie. I think its an enjoyable one to watch. I like it, but not as much as the first movie though. Those strong fans of S+S will really love it since it's basically around that relationship. I'm not sure if fifth graders should really be THAT much interested in love, but that's just how Japanese animators do things.

I'd just like to know how you decided the winners of your fan-art competition (100,000
hits).
Well this was the most difficult contest I've ever had to judge. I may have friends all over the world from many countries, but in order to be as fair as possible, I
could not play favorites. Also since this wasn't a fan art contest for a particular show, but rather a multi-anime fan art competition, I could not be biased over the different anime shows either. However, the rules of the contest did say "Feel free to draw your favorite anime character(s) from any of my web sites," so entries I got for characters from shows I didn't have a web site for got lower scores when I graded them, simply because the rules were not followed. For example I got two entries from characters from Vash the Stampede, and I don't have a web site for Vash the Stampede. They are great drawings BTW.
Also color was not required. Sometimes it's easier to add shading and detail using pencil. Of course the opposite of that is color adds depth and variety.
Everyone judges a fan art contest differently then everybody else. The hardest part for me is not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, but in the end it is a contest so someone has to win. It was also harder to narrow down the possible winners too. I got down to 10 entries and then I was stuck and really couldn't narrow down anymore. I finally had to decide between them 2 at a time like in a tournament.
There really is no trick or special procedure everyone has to follow when judging something like this, especially with so many entries. I tried my best to be as fair as possible, and those that participated in my Cardcaptors contests in the past know I don't play favorites and am as fair as best I can.
I hope that helps some.

How come Kids WB showed 39 episodes when the dubbed series were 70 episodes?
Here's what I know to be true to answer your question: KidsWB claims to be mainly a "boys" audience. If you are familiar with the episodes of the original series, then you will know that not all of them had "action" in them. Also there are some other episodes KidsWB felt were not
"politically correct" for American audiences. For example, the episode with the Sweet Card had the girls learning how to cook and stuff in the forth grade. Then of course kissing and most blushing is a no no (though some blushing was shown, but it was more for embarrassment than love I suppose). Yes I know, who cares, but that's what KidsWB was thinking. Canada,
Australia, UK, India, New Zealand, and other countries showed more first season episodes than what we saw since those networks didn't care about having a "boys only" audience. Another topic KidsWB didn't like as well is Li having a crush on Yukito. In Japan all these things are ok and the censorships don't have as tight a leash like the US has, which is why all these things were allowed to be put in there in the first place. I wish I had better news for you and the rest of us fans, but that's what I know. If Cartoon Network was to pick up the series
in the future her in America, since it's a cable network, they don't have to deal with the censorships like the main networks do, so only then would we be able to see more of the dubbed episodes.

I have a question, if for your birthday, you could be any Cardcaptors character for the day, who would you be and why?
If I could be ANY Cardcaptors character for one day, I would pick Yue first. He's so cool and a great protector of Sakura. 2nd choice would be Li. Even though he doesn't have the Clow Cards, he does have magical powers, and a cool Mom too!

Did Nelvana really dub the entire series of the CCS Japanese episodes? The last time I emailed one of the Nelvana people, they said that Kodansha only gave them
a contract to dub a certain number of episodes.
Hi! Very good question and here's the answer:
Yes Nelvana did dub the entire series of CCS and the first movie. However not every episode was dubbed in its entirety, and some episodes were combined into one episode. If you look at my CC International page on
http://www.michaelsfavorites.com/international.html
you will see that English dubbed Cardcaptors episodes shown in Canada, Australia, and India for example aired much more than in America.
Australia for example has aired 70 episodes in English. India is still showing theirs and are up to 51 now.
Basically it's this, when a network has the rights to a show or series, they are the ones that determine which air and which do not. In
Kids WB's case, they only wanted to air episode featuring Li (Allies and The Mysterious Painting being the exceptions) as a dominant character since they claim to be a "boys" network only.

Hey I've seen Cardcaptors in Canada a couple of time and liked it. unfortunately, I live in the us, and don't know when the show is in
the US. Can you help me w/ that?
I wish I had some good news for you, but unfortunately Cardcaptors in not on in the US, except for in San Diego where it's shown in Spanish
on the XEWT network under the 3-word title "Sakura Card Captors." The best thing to do is to email
Kids WB, WB, and your local WB station.
Also email Cartoon Network and ask them to get the series. Cardcaptors is currently seen on at least 6 other Cartoon Network stations around
the world, except here in the US. Go figure.

I have a question. I heard that Cardcaptors was taken off because Yu-Gi-Oh came out and it became really popular which made it have more
ratings than Cardcaptors. Is this true?
Excellent question. Well there is a lot of speculation and few facts on this topic. One fact is that Kids WB has the rights to so many
shows that stretched themselves too thin, then they bought more, like Yu-Gi-Oh and a few others. This means some shows had to go or be
replaced [temporarily]. These included The Zeta Project, Static Shock, Batman Beyond, Cardcaptors, and a couple more. Another thing to
consider is ratings, which determines everything in the TV world. The good news here is that Cardcaptors did exceptionally well in every
time slot it was in the entire time it was on, including 3PM in the afternoons and 8:30 AM on Saturday mornings. Finally, since
Kids WB is
a self proclaimed "boys-only" network, they seemed to be in a hurry to get Cardcaptors off the air. Remember the last five episodes?
They've showed them M-F in December last year, and have never aired them again. One more thing to remember also is when a network orders
a show, they specifically mention how many episodes too. Once that number has aired, then they can do whatever, such as show it in
syndication (i.e. M-F), take it off completely, or limit the showings, such as Rescue Heroes GRT which is only on Wednesdays.
I hope that helps some. Email Kids WB and Cartoon Network to get the show back on the air.

I found a mention at a CC site that Cardcaptors was going to be coming back on the air in December.
Is this just another of many rumors floating around?
You came to the right place. I have not heard any such news about CC returning in December. If its true that would be great!
What site did you get it from as I'm curious about the news source?
It's possible the news is exactly one year old. Here I'll explain:
According to my episode guide at http://members.fortunecity.com/grantm3/dates.html
Episode 33 "Just Like Old Times" aired on 10/15/2001.
Then CC was off the air for one month, then came back in December 2001 to air Sakura in Wonderland on 12/03/2001, then the last five
episodes in a one week span the following week from 12/10/2001 - 12/14/2001. After that CC never aired again on Kids WB.
I've been emailing KidsWB almost daily for nearly a year now telling them that they aired the last 5 episodes only one time and for
them to please air them again. I don't know if you've heard, but many other countries have seen all 70 English dubbed episodes. We in
the US were only limited to 39. This is why I've also been emailing Cartoon Network asking them to pick up the series so we can see all
the episodes, not just the select ones Kids WB chose to air.
Thanks for your email! An excellent question! :)

I hope you can help me out.. I'm looking for a Cardcaptor video my friend mentioned looking for. I think it might be the first movie -
they were supposed to be sold at Burger King (or maybe another fast food place).
Do you know what I'm talking about? Did this video release have different packaging from the normal VHS releases of the movie?
Thanks for your help, if I can find this it will make a GREAT Christmas gift.
A very interesting question indeed. You're peeked my curiosity. When Taco Bell, then Hardee's/Carls Jr (not Burger King) got the Cardcaptors
toys, I went to so many different stores to make sure I got everything that was available, including the Kids Meal Display, under 3 toy,
window posters, etc. and never once did I ever see a video available for sale.
I'd be interested to know about the video your friend is talking about. He/She may be confused with the fact that when Hardee's / Carl's Jr
got the Cardcaptors toys, it was suppose to be a promotion for the movie as they were released at the same time, but I don't recall the movie
itself or any other video CC related ever available through Hardee's. Not even their web site mentioned anything about that and I have screen
shots of every page of their web site when the promotion was taking place.

First things first, I really enjoy your site and not least for it's not doing everything in it's power to badmouth Cardcaptors as opposed to
Cardcaptor Sakura. Secondly, I have been on a long and fruitless search to download
the English version of 'Platinum' and 'Fruits Candy' Every site I've found has only the
Japanese version or midis. I would love to have these
songs on my PC, and I guess you can only take my word for it that I only want them for personal enjoyment and not to 'take' for a site of my
own. (I have no site by the way, and no intention of creating one anytime soon)
I'm afraid I don't have the equipment to record it for myself nor can I really afford to buy some at this point in my life.
(Well, so much for my life story! lol Just trying to prove I'm not an evil bludger trying to rip off other people's hard work.)
Anyway, any contribution from you towards helping me obtain these two songs is very much appreciated. Please keep up the good work
on your site.
Well for the English versions of Catch You, Platinum, and Fruits Candy you will most likely be found these on a Canadian, UK, New Zealand,
or Australian fan site. I actually have the English version of Catch You I got from a fan in Australia, but I haven't really looked for the
other two. I still have yet to add all the different opening themes on my CCS/CC/SCC International Page. If you visit my Sounds page, I
explain how I captured the WAV files I have on my site. I bought a cheap $9.99 microphone, plugged it into my PC and placed it near the
TV speaker. Then using Sound Recorder from the Windows file, I recorded the WAV files. You may have Sound Recorder on your machine and not
know it. Do a search on Snd.

It's Rebecca again! Hi again! Thank you for your reply to my email. I have another question if that's
ok- I forgot to ask you last time. I'm coming over to America on holiday in April 2003- I've seen all of the merchandise you can buy over there and I'm very
impressed. But is the cc stuff still going to be around when I go over there? What I mean is, is it slowly becoming less and less popular? (that was good
English wasn't it?!) Pokemon has slowly vanished from shops over here in England- I was wondering if you thought CC is doing the same?
Oh yeah! I almost forgot to ask you something else as well. The 2nd CCS Movie- do you know if it's coming out into England? And if it is, when? I
heard that it hasn't even been released in America, and probably won't. Is this true? Thanks again!.
Well I'm sorry to say CC merchandise is scare around here. Trendmasters and SandyLion no longer make products for the show. To answer you
second quection, Nelvana never got the rights to dub the 2nd movie. So as of right now, it will not be available in English unless another
company gets the rights to do so.

Do you have MSN messenger? Just wondering?
Yes I have Microsoft Instant Messenger, but I'm rarely on. People ask me all the time, "why is that?" and I always tell them, well I could
either spend my free time chatting on messenger or working on my web sites, which would you rather me do. The answer has always been the
latter. You know what's funny is the excuse I get from many people that they can't update their sites is because they don't have the time.
So the FEW times I login to instant messenger, they are the ones chatting! Geez I get people emailing me if I miss one day of updating.
Oh well. Now on occassion if someone needed help, I would jump on messenger as it would be easier to communicate that way then emails.
If you want to chat at a specific time, let me know and we can work something out.

Yes I miss Cardcaptors and continue to email both KidsWB and Cartoon Network constantly. You're right, it's been over a year since Cardcaptors was on TV here in the US.
Yep, many sites seem to have come and gone, or given up on their sites. Not me. I continue to get emails from fellow fans, and I try to reply to all of them.
There are many wonderful fan sites out there. My Affiliates page is a great place to start.

Do you know how to make your own backgrounds? If so could you tell me how also how did you become so good at html any advice you could give me?
I became good at HTML by teaching myself. There are many wonderful online HTML tutorials, which is what I searched on in google.com and other search engines. I learned what basic code is needed, and started typing HTML code in Notepad, and simply saving the file as a .html instead of .txt. Later I learned about Microsoft FrontPage2000. This is one of the best applications out there to design web pages. If you know how to use Microsoft Word, the FrontPage2000 is a snap. You may already have it on your computer and not know it.
Making backgrounds can be tricky. I have Paint Shop Pro. Many of my friends use Photo Shop. I know Paint Shop Pro has a free trial version that can be downloaded.

Greetings from Delta, British Columbia, Canada!
First let me say that I found your Cardcaptors fan site to be a enjoyable and educational browsing experience for my 3 year old daughter as well as myself. My daughter is a Cardcaptor fanatic to say the least!
Glancing over your section on Sakura Wand toys got my daughter excited and now she wants a wand. Trouble is I have NO IDEA where to start to try and track one down. Perhaps you could help steer me in the right direction if it's not too much trouble. I'd appreciate any input.
Keep up the good work, and we'll keep on visiting the site!
The best place for now to find a Wand from Cardcaptor Sakura is on ebay. The trick with ebay is many sellers don't know how to spell the show titles correctly, so do the following seperate searches in ebay on:
cardcaptors
card captors
cardcaptor
card captor
sakura ccs
sakura cc
That should allow you to see all there is on ebay for Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptors.
If you do a search on just cc or ccs, then you'll get too many hits as that's the abbreviation many sellers use to say they except credit cards.
The sealing wand use to be available at toysrus.com but they may be sold out, and Trendmasters doesn't make Cardcaptors toys anymore.

I've heard Li reffered to as Li shaoran and I'm not sure if its a title or what but also Li-kun. Can you help me?
To answer your questions, there are many mispellings on the internet concerning Li's name. The correct English dubbed name is Li Showron,
as indicated on the official Cardcaptors web site. The correct Japanese name is Li Syaoran where Li is the Last Name, always mentioned first.
For more Japanese names, please see: http://www.michaelsfavorites.com/international.html
Ok let's talk about suffixes. In Japan as I understand it, adding a suffix to the end of a name seems to be formal, but not exactly sure on that. For girls the suffix is chan and for boys its kun or cun (I've seen both in subtitled Japanese videos). That may not be totally correct either as I know very little Japanese.
For example:
Sakura-chan and Li-kun or Li-cun are acceptable.

Can you tell me about the movie where Sakura leaps to Li and tells him she loves him? Is that in English somewhere?
Well for right now, the 2nd CCS Movie that you are referring to has not been dubbed in any other language [yet]. I have seen subtitled versions (Japanese language with English subtitles) available on ebay, but that's about it. It's not even available in English anywhere since Nelvana never got the rights to it. They only dubbed the first movie. I wish I had better news but that's all I know for now.

I got a few questions to ask and desperately wants an answer from someone like you! They are:
1) Do you think the webmaster of cardcaptors uncensored is Japanese or American? I think he's Japanese.
2) If -chan was used behind a girl's name, why is it behind Kero's name when I read some other site's summary of the episodes? And why is -san behind Julian/Yue's name?
I like your updates on your site! It's cool, I like it cause it's unique and just cause you don't copy other sites'.
Ok, the webmaster of Cardcaptors Uncensored is not Japanese. The person is American and certainly a fan of the original CCS. That is a site that I truly dislike and do NOT support at all. There's enough hatred in the world and no need to make more. The fact that this person is slamming a show I love very much is unforgiving. If you've read the very first question on this page then you'll understand why Cardcaptors means so much to me. I've seen every episode of the original CCS anyway and I just happen to like them both.
For the 2nd, I believe that including -chan, -san, and -kun are used when saying someone's name formally, -chan for girl names, and -san/-kun for boy names. I think since a girl did the voice of Kero in CCS, maybe that's why they used -chan on the end sometimes. That's my best guess.

I was wondering quite frequently, do you think personally that KidsWB will air Cardcaptors. I miss it so much and I never got to see all the episodes like I wanted....also do you think the entire series can come out on video in dubbed english? Also do you know if Nelvana or Pioneer will dub the Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2 The Sealed Card? I'm dying to see if they will...I like watching in Japanese but I kinda wish I could focuse more on the pictures than the words....thanx
Do I think personally that KidsWB will air Cardcaptors? Probably not. I personally think they've fulfilled their contract to air x number of episodes and are no longer obligated air any more. Visit my press relelases page as I got an email from WBDC that may help on this.
Do I think the entire series can come out on video in dubbed english? Not in the US, maybe in Canada, UK, or Australia. Do I know if Nelvana or Pioneer will dub the Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2 The Sealed Card? To the best of my knowledge, Nelvana never got the rights to dub the 2nd movie. If they did, there was speculation that it would not be dubbed as there would have to be too much editting because of all the "love" references and such, which the censors would demand to be removed for American children.

I've been visiting your site for about a year now. You have a great deal of information and seem to be one of the few people that updates information
regarding Cardcaptors on a regular basis. Most of the websites I've visited have not had any recent information added for a long time.
My questions concern the unaired episodes of Cardcaptors that Nelvana dubbed but that Kids WB has not shown here in the U.S. I know that they have been
shown in Canada on Teletoon, but while I can find episode lists of the shows on the Internet, I am much more interested in finding episode summaries. I have
seen countless summaries for Cardcaptor Sakura, as well as watching the episodes as they come available on DVD, but I want to be able to piece together the
story of Cardcaptors, which to me tells a different story from Cardcaptor Sakura (like you, I happen to like both versions of the story, but I feel Kids WB left a lot of the pieces out).
Also, I know that there was a company in Canada called Kaboom! Entertainment that produced some videotapes of Cardcaptors (which Kimmyshop sells). I was very
interested in these tapes. I bought the "Mysterious Painting" videotape which had One Fateful Day as it was shown in Canada. However, it does not appear any
more tapes were made after this one, which came out last spring. Were they in contract with Pioneer and when Pioneer quit making them did they have to stop as
well? Thanks for the information, and keep up the great site.
I too have ordered many Cardcaptors videos from Kimmy Shop. I'll have to go back and check, but I think I have 5 different ones. I first found her site through ebay when she was selling Canadian videos from Kaboom! Entertainment. Currently Kaboom's web site is down. I'm not sure if they are still making Cardcaptors videos/DVDs or not.

You seem like an expert on everything carcaptors so i was wondering if you could tell me where to get the cardcaptors' movies. (in english if you don't mind)
An expert? Oh you're making me blush. Well I do the best I can. Ok what you are looking for is called Cardcaptors The Movie. Don't get this confused with Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie (subtitled only). Pioneer released both on DVD, but Cardcaptors The Movie is the English version *obviously*
Ok there are a couple places where you can find CC The Movie. I got mine from Suncoast Motion Picture Company (I call it Suncoast Video) in my local mall. They have LOTS of anime on DVD and I get all mine from there.
If online is your thing, there are several easy choices (besides searching ebay):
Amazon.com, just do a search on cardcaptors and click the DVD link after the search.

Why did Ann's CCs Site shut down? I tried to visit it today and it was closed
down? Why couldn't she leave it up?
I don't know the exact reasons why she shut it down, I just know what she said on her splash page. On a personal note, I don't understand why someone would "shutdown" a web site anyway (unless
you're paying and no longer can pay)? Almost all fan sites
use free web host service providers, such as Geocities and Angelfire. Unless you have an update section, why wouldn't you leave up your gallery
or music/download section up for the other fans to enjoy? Just because an owner of a site can't update anymore doesn't mean you have to shut it down.
For example, I haven't had a chance to update my Battle of the Planets web site. I still love the show and am a big fan, but since I haven't
had the chance to update it in a very long time doesn't mean I have to shut it down. It's just my opinion anyway, but I hope that makes sense.

How did you start your web site?????????????????????
Ok the first thing you need to do is sign up for a free web space account. Go to http://www.geocities.com and sign up for one. You can create any user name you want as long as it isn't already taken. It's free, you don't have to pay money. You may have to tollerate popups on your site, but hey, they are giving you free web space. After signing up for a free account, there is the option to use an online page builder. This online page builder will allow you to create web pages in minutes. Geocities also makes it easy to find images on your computer and upload them to your web space. Give that a try and let me kow how it turns out.

How did you make your animations?
So you'd like to know how I made the animations (animated gifs)? Well I use a software application called Animation Shop 2. It's made by Jasc Software. They are also the makers of Paint Shop Pro which I use to compress my images. You can download a free trial version from their web site. Go to a search engine and search under Jasc Software.
In Animation Shop, you can add what ever images you want, put them in any order, choose how fast to go from one to the other, and save it as a .gif file. That's pretty much it and it's easy to do. I hope this helps.

A few days ago, I stumbled on your website and quickly (no more like provoked) me to go to the Card Captor’s section, I love Card Captors and I discovered you do the same thing I do, I write BIG, LONG emails to Kids WB once a week pleading for a month, or perhaps just one week! Of Card Captors
It so nice to have a partner in crime here!!! I mean come on Kids WB who actually watches Mucha Lucha has got to be nuts. I’m going to make then air Card Captors again if it’s the last thing I do!
And I absolutely love your website, its filled with all kinds of little Nick Knacks =D You've done a great job on it.
Yep I too have emailed KidsWB multiple times, almost daily too. The next time you send KidsWB an email, remind them that they only aired the last 5 episodes ONE TIME. That's not fair to us fans. If they're not going to air Cardcaptors anymore, then they could at least sell the rights to Cartoon Network so they can air it. *sigh* The emails will continue.
There for a while I was trying to pitch the idea to KidsWB to have Cardcaptors and Yu-Gi-Oh back-to-back for an "HOUR OF CARD POWER!" I thought it was an awesome idea and sent emails everyday for 3 months trying to get them to realize it was something they could use that would work. They never respond to emails anyway, but I'm pretty sure they get them, which is how that stupid show Phantom Investigators got yanked so quickly. Even I emailed them to tell them that.

Hi, I've been looking around a lot of Cardcaptors/Card Captor Sakura sites over the past several years and a while ago I came
across this image of a little girl opening a door with short reddish brown pigtails in an orange dress with white sleeves who
looks a little like a young Chelsea/Chiharu to me with the name "Akane" below "Card Captor Sakura" at the bottom of the
picture, but I have never been able to find any sort of
information about this girl anywhere online. Your site seems to have the most indepth information about the show and regular
updates as well so I was wondering if you might know anything about her, who she is, an episode she can be found in, if the
image itself is faked, etc. I would really appreciate any help you can offer in answering this question for me.
I saw the image you provided. No it's not fake. The little girl is in a Cardcaptor Sakura episode. The episode was called Sakura and Kero's Big Fight. She was the little girl that took Kero in when he left Sakura after having a big fight. She watched TV with him, had tea parties, etc. She was also the little girl that was taken away by the Float Card in the same episode. Sakura and Kero rescued her just in time. She was really cute in that episode too I thought.

I want to participate in the August Fan Art contest, it has the most votes now, but I don't have a scanner. What can I do?
Well there are a few options. I sometimes use a digital camera to take pictures of things. The images are stored on a disk that I then put into my computer. If that isn't an option, and you don't know anyone that owns one, there's one other option.
Some stores like Office Depot and Staples can scan something for you and save it on a disk. It might cost a couple dollars, but it is an option none-the-less.
Ok lets say you have the fan art image, but it's file size is too big and you can't email it. Well if you have a web site, you can upload it, then send me the URL of your drawing and I can get it that way. But don't do anything yet as even I'm not sure exactly which fan art choice will have the most votes.

You seem to be very knowledgeable about CCS and I see you have quite an extensive
merchandise section. On page 8 of your figures pages, there are 5 figurines as they appear on the back of the packages and one which does not appear, but was released by Trendmasters. So my question is: would you have any info about what happened to the rest of the figures that appear on the back of the package? Did Trendmasters cancel the production? Please let me know if you have any info on what constitutes the whole series of "Collectible Figurines".
The 3 not made included Summer School Sakura, Greeen Fairy Sakura (Time Card episode), and Orange Jester Sakura (Dash Card episode). Prototypes DO EXIST and were made for Toy Fair 2001, which can be seen at
http://www.michaelsfavorites.com/toyfair2001-5.html
but the series was cancelled by Trendmasters before mass production took place. I've called Trendmasters many times trying to track down these prototypes as I would pay a truck load of $$$ to have them, but alas nobody knows what happened to them.

You have a lot of affiliates. How come you don't have a top affiliates section? Also what is with the must see sites section?
I don't have a Top Affiliates section because I don't want to play favorites. The "Michael's Must See Section" is where I showcase a couple
sites that have recently helped me, submitted something to me, update OFTEN, or generally I like their
site. I try to change it every couple days to keep things fresh and new.

Hey I was just wondering why do you like the episode "Dragon Slayer" so much? Was it something about the story? Was it something about Sakura being a Giant?
Well you know what, nobody has asked me that question before. I guess with any series everyone has a favorite, and Dragon Slayer is mine for Cardcaptors. There are several things I like about the show. First is the colors. There's lots blues and everything seemed to fit together in the color scheme. Next is lots of action, and this episode is full of it!!! It also has its funny moments too. "A Clow Card with a sense of humor" and "don't you have any laser beams or anything" are my favorite lines and put a smile on my face
every time I hear them. Finally and most important of all, Sakura's battle costume ROCKS!!! She can beat any Clow Card wearing that awesome costume!

Could you try to get some/one of your "Canadian Cardcaptors fans" or affiliates who live in Canada to capture the Canadian Cardcaptors episodes with TV tuners or something then ask them if they can host them on Kazaa or another p2p program? Then all of us CC fans can come and download them! It might be a good idea that you host some of your episodes on Kazaa too.
I know one problem with hosting full episode downloads is having the web space and bandwidth to do it. I've had lots of people who have asked me why I don't have episode clips or full episodes yet to download. I will pass on your request to several Canadian sites I know and we'll see what happens. I'll also post this FAQ on the Ask Michael page. That might get some additional attention as well. Remember, Australia, Inda, New Zealand, and the UK all had more CC episodes then we did in the US, so it's not hust Canada we're trying to reach out to.

What is your favorite fan art other than fan art drawings?
I think the coolest thing I've seen is a Kero Cake! You can see it on my site on Page 1 of the Submitted Fan Art.

How could you record more than 60 seconds with Windows Sound Recorder? I can only record 60 seconds I can't change that option can you describe me thanks...
Here's what I do with Windows Sound Recorder. When I know there is something I'm recording that's over 60 seconds, I place the cursor of the record button, then when I get to 59 seconds, I start clicking the mouse button as quick as I can, cause when 60 seconds is up, the record button comes back, and if you click it again, you can continue recording for another 60 seconds.

I was wondering if you might be able to answer a question i have about cardcaptors. Does Teletoon (as you can tell i'm from canada) show the last four episdoes??? And do you know if teletoon has any e-mail like address i can write to them to? And (sorry to bother you so much) do you know if Teletoon stopped airing the cardcaptor series, and if they have if they will start to again? Also do you happen to know if the WB might start airing the episodes again? Sorry for all the questions, but your site looks so professional so i thought you might be able to answer all these questions. It's sad if the series isn't on television anymore. I can't seem to find anywhere to buy the entire series so there's no way for me to see the episodes again unless they air on television.
Does Teletoon (as you can tell i'm from canada) show the last four episdoes??? According to Teletoon.com all 70 episodes have been aired, just not exactly in the correct order.
And do you know if teletoon has any e-mail like address i can write to them to? You can contact Teletoon @ http://www.teletoon.com/Legal/Contact_En.shtml
And (sorry to bother you so much) do you know if Teletoon stopped airing the cardcaptor series, and if they have if they will start to again? According to teletoon.com, Cardcaptors airs Monday - Friday @ 7:30 AM
Also do you happen to know if the WB might start airing the episodes again? KidsWB doesn't have any plans to air the series again. The only thing we can hope for is for their contract to expire or they sell the rights to the show to another network.

On your must find page, for Dragon Slayer, what is a cel? For the sketches, is that ones from CLAMP or fan art drawings?
A cel is a painting on a piece of plastic that is made for every frame of the show. Have you ever watched an anime/cartoon, clicked the pause button, then clicked it again to go frame-by-frame? Well every frame is a painted cel. Depending on the quality of a series or movie, there can be as several cels per second. For CCS I believe it's 15 cels-per-second or 15 frames-per-second, but I'm not totally sure yet. Each cel is unique and made by hand. A pencil sketch is drawn first and then the cel is painted based on that sketch. Yes I'm looking for ones from CLAMP only, not fan made ones.

What is your most treasured CCS item you have in your collection?
I would have to say its set of 5 glasses in pink boxes from Japan. You can see them here.
Feel free to email me any other questions you want answered here.
Put in the Subject line of the email "Ask Michael".
