Nabiki:(to herself) Honestly, Ranma do you have to be such an
idiot. Why did you run off like that? .. I've got to find out
what drives him. Ask an old friend but who? Ukyou - she'd
kill me. Ryouga - he'd kill Ranma.  Hiro and Dai - Ranma would
kill me. Ryouga then, he might overreact but he is better
tempered than the rest of us.

(Eventually Nabiki encounters Ryouga)

Nabiki: I don't understand Ranma, Ryouga. One minute every-
thing seems to be going my way. He wnats to break the
engagement.  Then he runs out saying it was didhonourable.

Ryouga: Had he broken the engagement? What did you do?

Nabiki: No, and it was a little kiss.

Ryouga: How little, a peck?

(Nabiki sees an opening and nods)

Ryouga: Funny, he didn't run when he pecked me on the cheek.
(Ryouga shivers remembering how much he enjoyed it) So what
was it really?

Nabiki(going red) A little kiss.

Ryouga: Which sort? Peck, french, or chew.

Nabiki: A little kiss(notices Ryouga's glare) Okay a french
kiss.

Ryouga: Still he wouldn't react that badly
unless...

Nabiki: Unless what?

Ryouga: He responded. Damn you Ranma. You have betrayed Akane!

Nabiki:She betrayed him. Ranma and I started talking to about
how to get the other fiancees out the way. He offered me a
martial arts lesson. Unfortunatley my refusal was taken as a
refusal of an affiar.

Ryouga: So?

Nabiki: "I expect it from Ranma"

Ryouga:(Letting his facade drop) Oh god. Even I never wanted
to hurt him that badly.

Nabiki: Just beat him up once or twice.

Ryouga: No beat him once or twice. Beat him up, once, maybe.

Kuno:(in the distance) Die foul, sorcerer

Ryouga: Gotta go.

(Tendo Dojo)

Kasumi: Why couldn't Nabiki discuss it with me. I wouldn't
mind the change.

Genma:<Would you dicuss escaping a arranged marriage with
my wife>

Kasumi: Well, no but.. Oh I see. Me, Little Miss Traditional.
Even if I unofficaly approve

Genma:<Which you don't, of course.>

Kasumi:(smiling) Of course. I would have to disapprove of
their relationship.

(Ranma enters. He's ctually enjoyed talking to Hiro and Dai
for once despite the ribbing. Nabiki also enters.)

Genma: <We've run out of my favourite delicacy- Bamboo. Could
you two go out and get it.>

Kasumi: But that's across .... Oh my.

(Nabiki and Ranma leave holding hands. Kasumi does a poor
impression of fainting.)

Genma:*Me looking innocent is more convincing
than that.*

(Scene change to the park)

Ranma: Nothing like a quiet walk in the park is there, Nabiki?

Nabiki(irritated) Nothing like is the right phrase.

Ranma: Sorry, Chaos seems to folow me.

Nabiki: I know. I'm just a bit crotchety that's all.

(Round the corner we see Daisuke and Hiroshi sitting on a
park bench)

Daisuke: Ranma and Nabiki make a lovely couple.

Hiroshi: Speaking of the lovebirds, here they come.

Ranma: We're just good friends.

Daisuke: We've all heard that before.

Nabiki: We're just friends.

Hiroshi: Then why are you two ...

Daisuke:(triumphant) holding hands.

(At this Ranma realising it's true, whips his hand out of
Nabiki's. Looking guilty and furtive.)

Nabiki:*Thanks a lot you two. Interest has just doubled.*

(Next day Tendo Dojo)

Nabiki:*Ah coast's clear I can watch some Maison Ikkoku.*

(Nabiki enters Akane room and rummages under the bed where
she encounters Ranma.)

Nabiki: Macho Ranma...

Ranma: Ice-maiden Nabiki...

Together: Likes romance?

(Both shake their heads, then see the others knowing though
sheepish smile.)

Together:(Sheepishly) Yeah.

Ranma: I'm no good at it though.

(Nabiki and Ranma head downstairs and start watching it
together.  Halfway through They start snuggling up to each
other.)

Nabiki:*Funny, he's not doing too badly so far.*
