Introduction =========================================== The world of Digimon Online exists within cyberspace. The players' senses and thoughts are digitized and sent into cyberspace through the Matrix Chamber System. The system allows the player's consciousness to actually exist in cyberspace. Therefore, the player will have the same input as if he was in the Real World Players rasie their Digimon by training and fighting in cyberspace, and go on adventures to achieve the title of "World Champ." This world is divided into 4 Sectors: North, South, East, and West. Each Sector has a Leader, and to become World Champ, the player must defeat them all. Aside from the Leaders, there are Digimon that wander in the field and can attack the player. Since this world is only a game, dangers here have no effect on the Real World. However.... =========================================== 3. How to Battle =========================================== The battle system in this game is quite unique. You have 3 Digimon in your party, but only one can fight at a time. If that Digimon gets KO'ed, you can switch to another Digimon without getting a game over. But if all 3 of your Digimon become KO'ed you get a gameover. You can choose _fight_ where the Digimon just uses a punch, kick, etc. If you do a _tech_, a list of techniques the Digimon has learned will show up. Choose one. The Technique is usually more powerful than fight. Techniques use up MP, so watch out, even though you rarely run out. --------------------------- |3.1 Digivolution | --------------------------- You rookie Digimon first learn a new form around level 5. They will learn new Champion forms, but i am not sure how, the Booklet that came with the game is the worst i have ever seen. During battle you can Digivolve your partner into a new form. If you want, you can turn on Battle Digivolution from Status pick the Digimon, then Digivolve click on the form, and set Battle Digivolution on. The Digimon will then start the battle in that form, unless you get ambushed and then your Digimon Start at the rookie level. BLAST DIGIVOLUTION You can also Blast Digivolve during battle. When you recieve enough damage and the bar fills up your Digimon will Digivolve automatically. I had an Angemon and it Blast Digivolved to MagnaAngemon, and it didn't even learn that Digivolution yet. So with Blast Digivolution you can Digivolve to a higher level without learning that form first. DNA DIGIVOLUTION DNA Digivolution is unlike DW2. You can DNA Digivolve two digimon together and they perform one attack and that Digimon disappears. To do this, i had Dinohumon and Kyubimon. When Kyubimon is out select Tag then select Dinohumon and then select DNA DV. They will DNA Digivolve to Agnimon and perform one attack and then Dinohumon will be in the battle. So it is just like switching Digimon but they use an attack when swicthing. Both of the Digimon must have the required MP, which in this case was 80. =========================================== 4. Walkthrough =========================================== Here is the walkthrough for the game. I will try to provide you with as much information as i can on secret items and side quests you can do. It is obviously incomplete and will be updating it as i progress through the game. --------------------------- |4.1 Choosing a pack | --------------------------- Each pack has different digimon, and some with the same Digimon as other packs. You will be able to acquire Digimon that are in the other packs, but you can only get 8 partners (Monmon, Kotemon, Kumamon, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, Renamon, and Patamon). You have to first get a mission from a DRI who says something like, get the DDNA from WarGrowlmon, bring it back, and i will give you Guilmon, and the same for the rest. PACK A Balanced Pack Weapon, magic attacks, and healing. Best pack for team work. Kotemon- Balanced Swordsman. Also learns to heal. Renamon- Gets the enemy with lightning and ice. Patamon- Healing specialist. Very likable PACK B Powerful Pack For the fearless who think that offense is the best defense. Monmon- Has various guns, excellent marksman. Agumon- Likes to spew fire, very aggressive. Renamon- Gets the enemy with lightning and ice. PACK C Maniac Pack Kumamon- Powerful martial artist who's pretty fast. Guilmon- Mischievious Digimon. He'll learn odd moves. Patamon- Healing specialist. Very likable. They're all quirky and difficult. You can only count on Patamon. --------------------------- |4.2 Raising your Digimon | --------------------------- This is just a suggestion on how to raise your Digimon. You can make them all have high offense if you like or try to balance all the stats out. DIGIVOLUTION This is what the people ate the Digimon Lab in Asuka city tell you. Kotemon- Can learn Agumon and Veemon types. If you train machine tolerance... Monmon- Once it learns Ultimate, train its strength, machine and wind tolerance. Kumamon- Train wisdom and spirit, which are hardest to increase. Renamon- Train spirit or strength and defense. Patamon- Train wisdom or strength Agumon- If you train dark tolerance, it will learn dark type digivolution.(BlackWarGreymon) Guilmon- Its parameters are partial, so the key is to train its weaknesses. What no Veemon?! They didn't talk about him. A list of what the icons mean. Top to bottom. Fist, Strength- the power of its physical attacks such as punches and kicks Shield, Defense- amount of damage the Digimon can withstand Pink thing, Spirit- Strength of magic attacks(Techniques) Book(?), Wisdom- Magic accuracy and ability to evade magic Green thing, Speed- Speed of command during battle and ability to evade physical attacks Sparkles, Charisma- Soma characters may not talk to you if your Digimon's charisma is low You can raise these stats at the Leomon Training center near Asuka city in Central Park. I suggest to always use 10 TP, it gives you more of a stat boost. You can gain TP by gaining levels, 5 TP for every level you gain. You can only raise the rookie form of your partners parameters, but i am sure they carry over to the other forms(champion, ultimate, mega) Also with those stats, you can enhance their tolerance to certain elements. Hit R1 when you are at the training screen. Top to bottom. Fire- Fire tolerance Water- Water tolerance Ice- Ice tolerance Wing- Wind tolerance Lightning bolt- thunder tolerance Gear- Machine tolerance Black Sparkle- Darkness tolerance =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.2.1 Trainig at a Gym | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= There are 3 Gyms in Digimon Online, and a secret one. OOoOOOo. The first one you will find will be Leomon's Gym just outside of Asuka City. To train you will need TP points. You will get 5 TP points every time you gain a new level. You can also pick how many point you want to use to do a specific exercise, 1TP 5TP or 10TP. I suggest you use 10TP as you will get a better result. LEOMON'S GYM _Things you can raise_ Spirit Strength Defense Wisdom *more to come* --------------------------- |4.3 Equiping Items | --------------------------- You can equip weapons and armor to your Digimon to further enhance their stats. You can equip different things to different parts of their body. Head- Helmets and things that go on your head Body- Vests and such Right- Swords, daggers, spears, bows, and guns Left- Shields, and same stuuf as right Accessory- Things like rings, gems, etc Accessory- ^ ^ Same as above ^ ^ Each store at the cities have different weapons and if you join El Dorado you can access the _Black Market_ and get weapons and aromor that enhance your stats even more, but of course they cost more. Ok, let the actual walkthrough begin.... --------------------------- |4.4 East Sector | --------------------------- There are 4 sectors to Digimon Online, and they are lamely named. East, South, North, and West. Each one has different cities, digimon, etc. You start out in East Sector. It has 2 cities. Asuka City, which you start out in and Seiryu City, where you first challenge a "Leader" to get a badge(I know, sounds like pokemon). Protocol Ruins Asuka City | Plug Cape | Protocol Forest Seiryu City Tyranno Valley \ | | | | Central Park--Wire Forest--Divermon's Lake--Wind Prairie--Kicking Forest | | | Shell Beach Forest Inn East _| Station This also has the enemies in the East Sector. Such as every part of the sector that has enemies. The HP is just a guess, but i think it is pretty close. Also, the locations are abbreviated. There are a lot of things to do here, hopefully i won't forget any. Well, hopefully you can manage to pick a pack on your own. You will then be transported to the Digital World. Once you get out of the chamber romm head up the stairs and talk to the people behind the counter twice to retrieve your Digimon. They suddenly appear from the blue light, aren't they just sooo cute. *Boss Fight* Right when you leave some old geezer challenges you to a fight. He is pretty easy, all he has is a Kuwagamon and your Digimon's technique should be enought to finish it off. ------------------------------------------------------ |Digimon | HP | Exp | Bits | Items | ------------------------------------------------------ |Kuwagamon | 100 | 4 | 50 | None | ------------------------------------------------------ Once you beat him he mentions things about the Digimon lab, it is pretty pointless to go there but if you want to read things, its kinda fun. Talk to the people to learn many things about your Digimon. He also mentions how to get a folder bag to play the card game of Digimon World 3. When you leave the Lab follow the path and go up the first flight of stairs and enter the INN. You will see Gaurdromon who can save your game, i suggest you do that now, and Gatomon who will heal all your Digimon for 8 bits a piece. After that, head down the ladder that is in the INN. Head out the first door on the right. It will lead you underground, go up and then down the ladder and out the door to find _300 bits_. you will see another Chest, but you can't get that...yet. Go back up the ladder and head down the hallway and out that door. You should see a Guilmon, talk to him if you want, then follow the path to where the two people are standing and go into the building with a yellow top and cards on the sign. Talk to the Divermon behind the counter and he will give you a card folder. Now you can collect cards. You can talk to the people in there to learn more about the card game. The building next to that is El Dorado. Once you join you can have access to the black market where they sell special items and weapons that are better than the store, but they are expensive. You can't join just yet... Now head back out to the front of the INN. The building next to it is an item shop, you may want to buy some Power Charges that are only 12 bits and heal 500hp. Gargomon sells weapons and armor, Wizardmon sells items, and Gomamon runs a pawn shop. Keep going down and you will eventually be out of the town and into Central Park. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.2 Central Park | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Just train until your Digimon are around level 3. Heal at the Inn if necessary. Don't venture too far because you might run into a Triceramon or a Vegiemon. There is a Leomon here who runs a gym. This becomes VERY useful when you need to train your digimon to get higher stats. Refer to section 4.2.1 Training at the Gym. It is not that hard to figure out. You will see a treasure chest on a ledge by Leomon's Gym. Go all the way around to the back and climb the ladder to get on top of the gym and climb down the other one to get a _Power Charge_. Once you are around level 3, head west to Plug Cape. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.3 Plug Cape | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Here is where you get your first side quest. YAY!! Watch out for Triceramon, run if you encounter one. Once you enter, go down and go talk to the kid standing by the lone tree. He will then kick the tree and blah blah, off to get Tree Boots. -=SideQuest Tree Boots=- You will have to do a lot of running around, so your Digimon should level up quite a bit. The Gabumon card is located at the INN in Asuka City. It is next to the person who is cleaning, down the ladder. Hit X on the shelves next to her. Once you get it, bring it back to him. He will tell you Veemon will give you the Tree Boots. Talk to him again and he will say go where people meet, someone should be able to help you. Hmm, where people meet, That must be the Bar(Lamb Chop). It is near the entrance and on ground level, to the left of the first set of stairs. Talk to the wierd lady near the door. She will say that he is in the Wind Prairie. Off we go! Go back to Central Park, and head out the east exit. Just follow the path through Wire Forest, nothing special here, just fight the Digimon. There is a treasure chest with a buckler in West Wire Forest. Equip it to someone. When you get to East Wire Forest and come to a fork, don't panic. South is an INN(Forest Inn) with a Gatomon and a Gaurdromon. Go there and heal if you need it(12 bits per Digimon), and remember to save(Guardromon is up the stairs and by the bunk beds). North is to the Protocol Ruins and Protocol Forest, we will get back there later. East is the Wind Prairie. Continue East. You will come to Divermon's Lake, again, nothing special. There is a tresure chest with a Bandana inside. Once you exit, you arrive at the Wind Prairie! Veemon is toward the east chillin' by the Windmill thingy. Talk to him and he will ask you to play hide and seek. He will run into Kicking Forest and hide. If you find him, he will give you the tree boots. You will count to 10, quite fast, and then you should enter the forest. He is easy to find. At the entrance to the forest he is in the trees to the south. Go almost directly south from where you start into the middle of the trees and keep on hitting X, you should find him eventually. He will Give you the Boots, now you can fight Cardmon! -=SideQuest Finished=- With your new boots, you can now kick trees and find Cardmon. He is easy to find. Just kick trees until your sensor turns yellow. That means he is close. Keep kicking trees in the vicinity until it turns red, that means he is really close. Kick more trees and you should find him. If you manage to beat him, he runs away a lot, he will give you a booster pack, and a lot of exp and bits. you may not be able to beat him before he flees unless you have Champion Digimon. Off to Seiryu City. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.4 Seiryu City | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Seiryu City is located up the metal ramp thing and through the Cave in northern part of Wind Prairie. The Item and Weapon shop is in the first building. Gatomon is up the stairs. Talk to her to rest for 16 bits a Digimon. Divermon is in one the rooms. He can open your Booster Packs that you get from Cardmon. The next building has Gaurdromon, and a Piximon. You can't really do anything with Piximon yet so go save with Guardromon. After your done saving. Go up the stairs and talk to the people. One kid will say the Seiryu Leader is training in the Protocol Ruins. Which is our Next stop. Now you can raise your Digimon to higher levels. They learn a Digivolution at level 5. Once you have a champion make sure you have them start the battle in that digivolved form. To do this select Status then the Digimon, then See Digivolve, then select the Digivolved form and click Battle Digivolution On. There, now they will start battle out in that form, unless they are ambushed. Protocol Ruins is easy to find. Remember the fork in the road in East Wire Forest? Go back there. Head up and you will be in the Protocol Forest. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.5 Protocol Forest | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Nothing much here. Just Dokugumons and Goburimons. Head north and go through the trees to the east. You cango through them and it will be hard to get through them the first time, but you will get the hang of it. Go up the stairs and you will be in the Protocol Ruins. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.6 Protocol Ruins | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= There are only Goburimons and Minotarumons here. Good place to level up. There is an optional Boss here, but i suggest you do fight him. He isn't that hard to beat. He is towards the top of the ruins. The Protocol Ruins are not a maze, so it should be easy to find him. *Boss Fight* He is not that hard, but your champions should be around lvl 6 or 7. It would be even easier if they new some Techniques. Also, don't forget to be training your Digimon at Leomon's Gym outside of Asuka City. You can also buy things to equip on your Digimon to raise their Defense and Offense Parameters. ------------------------------------------------------ |Digimon | HP | Exp | Bits | Items | ------------------------------------------------------ |Pharaohmon | 710 | 120 | 240 | Old Wand | ------------------------------------------------------ After you beat Pharoahmon, you can go talk to the Seiryu Leader. Go to the left of the screen and you will see four arrows pointing down. Hit X and you will drop to the floor below. Follow the path and you will see the Seiryu Leader and his Digimon: Veemon, Agumon, and Guilmon. NO, YOU CAN NOT STEAL THEM. Anywayz, talk to him and he will tell you he doesn't think you are a good enough trainer to fight him. He wants you to beat MasterTyrannomon. He is in Tyranno Valley, duh. Tyranno Valley is to the north of the Kicking Forest. Just climb up the ladders and you will be in Tyranno Valley. -=SideQuest Fishing Pole=- Since you have been in Protocol Forest and fighting some Dokugumons. You should have a Spider Web by now, if not. Keep Fighting. Once you have one. Go to Shell Beach, to the south of Central Park. You will see a guy fishing there. TALK TO HIM _TWICE_. He should offer to build you a fishing pole. He just needs three items. You should have one already, the Spider Web. The next two are easier. You can buy a Bamboo Spear at the Asuka Armory for 150 bits. The next item is a hook. Go to Divermon's lake and go down the ladder onto the pier and talk to the Divermon who is right next to the pier. He will give you a Red Snapper(a hook of some kind i am guessing?!?). That is all the parts now. Go to the guy again and he will make you the rod. Now you can go fishing. Hit X when the Fishing Icon pops up. If you land the cursor on the yellow bar. You will fight a Cardmon. If you land on the green, you will get in a Digimon Battle. Land on blue, and well, (confusion bubble), you get nothing. -=SideQuest Finished=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.7 Tyranno Valley | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= If you want you can train here, the Digimon give you 30+ EXP. Train your Champion levels higher. Train them up to lvl 12-13. If you want, they may learn a technique around lvl 15, if they didin't learn one at lvl 10. So you may want to raise them up to lvl 15, just to be sure you will win.Time to fight MasterTyrannomon. Just keep climbing up the mountain and you will find him. *Boss Fight* MasterTyrannomon isn't hard if you know the right techniques. Use water and/or ice techniques like Frost Cutter. You can also purchase an Ice Field for like 12 bits at the store and it will turn the field to ice. Making your ice attacks stronger and fire attacks weaker and his defense should be lowered. ---------------------------------------------------------- |Digimon | HP | Exp | Bits | Items | ---------------------------------------------------------- |MasterTyrannomon| | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- Once you beat him, you can go and fight the Seiryu Leader for your First Badge. He isn't in Protocol Ruins anymore. He is in Seiryu Tower in Seiryu City, which is a lot closer than Protocol Ruins. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.8 Seiryu City 2 | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The leader is located in Seiryu tower, at the very top. Go out onto the balcony(by the kid on the second floor). You will then challenge him to a battle, and the battle begins! *Leader Battle* He isn't too difficult. He only has 3 Digimon, well, that is the limit :P Anywayz, you should have your champions around lvl 18. This battle should be a piece of cake. Seiyru City Leader ---------------------------------------------------------- |Digimon | HP | Exp | Bits | Items | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- You have just recieved your first Badge. After this, you can now go find the DRI Agents for Agumon and Guilmon. The one for Guilmon is in Seiryu City, down the ladder by the girl who is obssessed with the Seiryu City Leader. Agumon's DRI Agent is in Tyranno Valley. Go up 2 ladders and head to the left. Then follow the path and you will find him. Make sure your Rookie's combined levels are between 30 and 45. After you defeat him, you can go to South Sector, and face your next Badge Battle. You must go to the East Station, which is to the end of Kicking Forest. Just go south for as long as you can, then head to the left(west). When you get there, talk to the little machine thing and it will tell you that you need a card from the one who was created from a Blue Card. Hmm, sounds like you need to find a Guilmon. And so begins, the grueling task of finding the Blue Card. If you don't know what i mean, YOU WILL.... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |4.4.9 The Blue Card | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The first place to look for him is at the Asuka City Inn. He is in the back and on top of one of the Bunk Beds. Talk to him and he will say you need to find his cousin. He was on his way to Seiryu City, but may have stopped to get something to eat. He is at the Forest Inn where the Gaudromon is. Talk to him. He will say his cousin has it. He is at Seiryu City Inn. He will give you the 8lue Card(no typo). Now go back to East Station and try the card. Of course it won't work... Now, go talk to the Guilmon that is in Seiryu City. He will say that the ther Guilmon was only trying to have some fun...i hate him... Anywayz, Go find the Tricky Guilmon again. He is at the Forest Inn, but this time he is in the basement. Go down the ladder, past the Bakemon lover guy, and follow the hallway. He will be there. You will finally get the real BLUE CARD!! NOW SAVE THE GAME. IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY. Heal if you want also. Now go back to the East Station. The card will work and the Gandola will move. But wait, an Avalanche, and a Bulbmon will attack you. *Boss Fight* This is a pretty tough Digimon. If you can just DNA Digivolve, ie a Paildramon will be helpful. Just pummel it with powerful techniques. And i suggest your Champions be above level 20. Maybe even 25. you can't really kill it, he runs away. If you didn't save, and you die. You now feel the pain i went through and finally got the blue ard, only to be defeated by Bulbmon... ---------------------------------------------------------- |Digimon | HP | Exp | Bits | Items | ---------------------------------------------------------- |Bulbmon | 800 | N/A | N/A | N/A | ---------------------------------------------------------- You have now made it to South Sector ...finally --------------------------- |4.5 South Sector | --------------------------- There is a City Leader in this sector. Techniques =========================================== Here will be a list of all the Techniques a Digimon can learn, what level they learn it at, and the short description that is in the game. =========================================== 9. HINTS =========================================== 1. SAVE OFTEN. You can save at the Gaurdromon at the INNs, but not the ones you face in battle ;) The first time i played, i forgot to save and got a game over(stupid Triceramon...) and had to start ALL the way from the beggining. 2. Gatomon is at the INNs and if you talk to her, you can rest for a certain amount of BITs per Digimon. She heals all the HP and MP of all your Digimon. 3. Buy some power charges. They cost only 12 bits and heal 500 hp, don't leave home with out a couple.
