There was a sweetness in the warm summer air that called to the instincts of the young teenage boy. The streets were full of merchants selling their wares and customers looking for bargains. Children milled about playing various games and the elderly enjoyed their afternoon walks. Unconsciously, his eyes watched them, following certain individuals like a predator looking for weak and easy prey. It was difficult for him to keep his attention on the task at hand. If the stakes for this mission were any less he would have long since ditched his teacher for some more entertaining fare. As it was, Naruto tapped his foot impatiently as he watched his current teacher, Jiraiya.
‘What is it I am doing again?’ the voice was feminine and bored in tone.
‘You know it just as
well as I do.’ He thought in
response, as his eye caught sight of a young girl around six or seven years of
age trip and fall about twenty meters in front of him. He could kill her so
easily. The thought passed as quickly as it came and his eyes came to rest on
Jiraiya once more. He was talking to some peddler, his hands waving about as he
talked. An expression of sudden understanding came to the peddler’s face and he
ducked beneath his rickety wooden stall for a moment. When the man’s head
popped back up, he held several pieces of jewelry in his hand. Jiraiya reached
into his pocket and pulled a frog shaped purse, taking out several coins in the
process.
Naruto’s eyes were drawn to the amphibian shaped
object as his hands reached for a certain pocket. “Hey! That’s mine! Give it.”
He was ignored, Jiraiya’s attention on the peddler as
he handed him the jewelry. “Are you spending my hard earned money on some junk
jewelry so you can bribe some stupid girl?!” Naruto accused, his hands balled
into fists at his sides. His emotions getting the best of him, he leapt forward
trying to snatch back his precious froggy.
Sensing his
students approach Jiraiya turned in plenty of time to escape the attack and
began walking down the crowded street. His target not there to stop his forward
progress, Naruto found himself crashing into the peddler’s stand. “Damn it,”
the young man cursed, rubbing his head and picking himself off the ground. He
was about to storm after Jiraiya, when the peddler grabbed the back of Naruto’s
shirt. Naruto sighed, and tried to suppress the thought that was running
through his head.
The peddler, who
was a middle aged man of moderate build, twisted Naruto around to face him,
yelling as he did so. “What do you think you’re doing, Punk?” the man asked
angrily. With two fists full of Naruto’s orange and
black jacket, he attempted to shake the answer from the boy. “Who’s gonna pay for my stand?”
Naruto had been
trying to follow Jiraiya’s route through the crowd,
but it was becoming obvious he would have to deal with this human first. When
the man jerked him around, Naruto raised his head to meet the man’s eyes. The
moment he did so, the man released Naruto and clutched his hands to his chest
as if he had just accidentally touched death itself. For a moment, looking into
the boy’s crystal blue eyes were like looking into eternity, but as quickly as
the feeling had crippled the man, it passed. Now the boy’s eyes showed nothing
but mirth.
Naruto reached into
his pocket and then presented the man with his closed fist. “Sorry, I was just
trying to get my perverted teacher’s attention. That was my money he used to
pay you, but that’s not your fault.” Naruto’s grin
grew almost inhumanely wide. “Here, this should cover the damages.”
The man offered his
open palm and his eyes widened as Naruto placed a small gold bar into it. Not
quite believing his good fortune, the man lifted the gold bar to his mouth and
bit into the malleable metal. He then looked at the indentation his teeth had
left and he laughed in glee. This was more money than his goods were worth by
several folds. He looked up to thank Naruto, but the blond young man had
already left in pursuit of his guardian. It was not until later that night when
the man returned home and pulled out his bar of gold again did he notice it was actually a broken kunai.
After spending
months with Jiraiya, Naruto was well familiar with the man’s scent and it was
within moments that he once again found his teacher. “So what is that I
bought?” Naruto asked, placing his hands behind his head and falling in step
with Jiraiya.
“This?” Jiraiya
began, holding up a gold bracelet. “…Is a hot lead. Tsunade
used it to payoff some of her gambling debts this morning.”
“Let me see,”
Naruto asked. Jiraiya handed the piece of jewelry to his student. Naruto looked
it over, and when his teacher’s attention was elsewhere, gave the item a quick
sniff. There were several scents, one being of the peddler, another Jiraiya’s. One of the remaining would be the scent of his
target. “Look’s like cheap junk to me,” Naruto scoffed and tossed the bracelet
back to Jiraiya. “Just how does knowing that get us any closer to this woman?”
“Idiot!” Jiraiya rebuked and gave his student a
quick bonk on the head. “We know that she’s nearby!”
“Maybe,” Naruto
snorted in answer. Internally, another thought was beginning to form. ‘Finally,
the hunt can begin in earnest!’ First he would need to know what his prey
looked liked, so once he found the sources of the scents on the bracelet he
could match it to the description. “So, what does this Tsunade
look like anyway? Bet she’s an old badger like you.”
“Who’s old?” Jiraiya demanded to know, shaking his fist at his young
student. “Just for that I’m holding your precious froggy
hostage.”
Naruto frowned for
a moment, before he calmed himself. He knew Jiriaya’s
weakness and how to get his froggy
back. “Whatever, you still haven’t told me what this Tsunade woman looks like.”
Jiriaya was momentarily stunned that Naruto did not
seem concerned about his money purse, but they did have more important concerns
at the moment. “Well,” Jiriaya began, rubbing his
chin as he recalled an image of his old teammate. “I haven’t seen her for
awhile, but I have no doubt that she hasn’t changed… at least outwardly.”
‘What’s he mean by
that?’ a part of Naruto wondered… another part was sure she knew what the human
meant.
“Tsunade has the appearance of a young woman in her late
twenties, maybe early thirties. She is tall for a woman, with blonde hair and
dark brown eyes. She’s got a medium build with curves in all the right places.
But I would say her defining feature is her chest.”
“Oh,
how so?”
“Tsunade’s got the biggest set of tata’s
I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing,” Jiraiya
described holding his hands away from his chest to approximate Tsunade’s size. The frog hermit was lost to his vision of
his voluptuous sennin that was until he heard the
voice of the girl who had haunted his dreams ever since he had first saw her.
“Are they this
big?” an innocent voice asked timidly.
Jiriaya’s jaw dropped as he stared at the teenaged
girl that took the place of his male student as a result of Naruto’s
unique ninja art. Somewhere along the line, Naruto had learned that a person’s
imagination was far more debilitating than reality. So instead of being in the
nude, his female guise wore a black full length Chinese dress with a lithe red
fox design wrapping around the skin tight material. The black color was a
striking contrast to her sun blonde hair. She was nibbling cutely on one of the
ends of her long blonde ponytails and looking at Jiriaya
intently.
“Uh… their bigger,”
was all Jiriay found the power to say.
Naruto’s already large blue eyes,
grew even larger. “Oh,” she said quietly. Jiriaya’s
view of her was obscured by a puff of smoke and when it cleared, the girl’s
already generous bounty grew by two sizes. She looked away from Jiriaya, seemingly too embarrassed to meet his eyes. “Like
this?”
‘This had to be the
most deadly technique ever devised,’ Jiriaya thought
mesmerized. And was not like Jiriaya had not seen a
wide variety of gorgeous women, there was just something hypnotizing about
Naruto… maybe it was her eyes. “B…b…bigger,” he stuttered through a slobber.
Naruto broke
character for a moment, as an incredulous look crossed her otherwise naïve
face. ‘Are you serious or are you just trying to see how far I’ll go? What does
she do? Carry them around in a wheelbarrow?’ Sighing first, she disappeared
behind another screen of smoke, reappearing with a bust line that had to be
seen to be believed.
If he could have, Jiriaya would have literally burst into flames with amount
of lust and desire he was feeling. “Perfect! You’re PERFECT!” His tongue
hanging from his mouth like a parched dog, Jiriaya
reached out for his dream girl with his hands in the ideal groping position.
Naruto’s eyes narrowed and flashed red for a moment.
If that man still didn’t have so much left to teach him, he could kill him
right here and now. ‘How could a human of your experience leave yourself so
open?’ a part of Naruto wondered with curiosity, which was another reason not
to kill him just yet. Instead of murdering the frog hermit, Naruto stuck out a
shapely leg between the long slit of her dress and tripped the perverted man. As
soon as he hit the ground, Naruto took a deep breath and screamed. He or rather
she was instantly surrounded by a bevy of men, who had been ogling her ever
since she had made her appearance.
“What? What’s going
on?” one of the men asked, taking the opportunity to impress the woman in front
of him.
Tears already
falling down her cheeks, Naruto pointed down at the confused Jiriaya. “That man stole my froggy purse and tried to touch me,” Naruto said through
a fit of sobbing. Strangely enough, everything she had said was true, not that
she was above lying.
The group of men
pounced on Jiriaya without even giving him a moment
to explain. Not that they would have believed him anyway. The word of a cute blonde
always trumped that of some old white haired man. Besides, Naruto’s
story was infinitely believable, who wouldn’t tried to grope a girl that looked
like that. It wasn’t long before one of the men appeared
before Naruto, her frog purse in his hand. “Here you go, Miss?”
“Ah! That’s it!”
She quickly reached out to claim her prized possession. She thanked the man
with a quick hug and then disappeared in a puff of smoke. The man was too
stunned from the hug to make a fuss over the woman’s disappearance.
Naruto, now back to
his normal self, looked at the near riot down below and smirked at Jiriaya’s predicament. ‘Serves the fool right.’ The subject of Jiriaya
was one of the rare topics that Naruto’s mind was in
complete agreement. ‘Now then,’ Naruto thought gathering a portion of his
chakra. Ten clones appeared around him, birthed from the very shadows. “You
know the prey. Let the hunt begin!”
