Chapter I:

Floating in the Wind

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was approaching nine o’clock and Naru had yet to come downstairs to the breakfast table. Instead, the young woman was looking at her reflection in the small mirror that sat on her konatsu table. It had been a good hour since she had awakened and still a rose colored hue adorned her cheeks. She just couldn’t get that dream out of her head. In her dream, she and Keitero had been studying one minute and then doing “this and that” the next. And last night’s had not been the first erotic dream she had had starring the resident manager. ‘Well,’ she reasoned to herself as she finally opened the door to her room. ‘I guess we are sort of going out. And if…’ Her face began to redden again as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Lost in her some what licentious thoughts, she did not notice the object of her aggressions coming out of his room.
This was quite the volatile mix as things were, but today would be special and so the Fates decided to add more fuel to the fire.
Motoko was very much a girl angry and confused. Whenever she found herself in such a state, Motoko would ask herself one question: What would Naru do? While Motoko would not say that she idolized the older woman, Motoko did very much admire Naru. Naru, in Motoko’s eyes, was everything the young kendoist was not. Naru was intelligent, beautiful and self confident. Motoko saw herself as adequate in school, gangly and though she hid it well, very self conscious. Most decidedly, since Keitero worshiped the ground Naru walked on… Naru had to be doing something right to monopolize his heart to that extent. But if that was so, how could this morning’s events be explained? How could Keitero not be satisfied with Naru’s attention? Naru was too good for him as things were! ‘It’s because all males are slovenly, lustful creatures!’ No, Keitero was not worth Naru’s time or hers.
And so Motoko had left her room and sought out the manager to correct his slackened heart. Spotting him leaving his room, she readied her attack. Urushima! Prepare yourself for retribution!” Having declared her noble intentions, Motoko rushed forward, sword raised.
Hearing her declaration, Keitero turned fearful eyes in her direction and began to wave his hands in supplication. “Whawha… what did I do?” Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on one’s point of view, Keitero’s waving hands brushed up against one randy Naru Narusegawa from crotch to breast. Finding his hand now cupping something quite soft, Keitero instinctively gave the object a squeeze or at least that was story his brain was telling him.
A soft moan came unbidden from Naru’s lips, her eyes closed and a shutter ran through her body. As the warm feeling passed Naru opened her eyes. Now looking at a shaking Keitero, who still had his hand on her right breast, Naru was left feeling a hodge-podge of emotions, very few of them she knew how to deal with. As when normally was the case, Naru ran with the familiar. “Pervert!” Yes, that was it. Keitero’s perversion was so strong that it radiated off of him in waves and was effecting her own actions and feelings. That was logical, wasn’t it? At the very least it was better than the alternative reason. He would pay. Naru cocked her hand back and slammed it into Keitero’s jaw.
Keitero spun like a top from the impact and right into the waiting strike of Motoko Ayaoma. The force was enough to send the young man up the stairs, out of the second floor window and to points unknown.
Both girls relaxed from their strikes, their eyes meeting momentarily. Hoping to hide an emotion they weren’t ready to admit to themselves, they again hid behind the familiar. “That Keitero can’t even last the morning before he pulls something perverted,” Naru said with faux exasperation, turning away from the eyes of the younger girl.
Motoko quickly nodded her head in agreement. “You do not know the half of it. You were not available to hear the phone call the lecher received this morning.” Motoko too turned so that her back was to Naru. Motoko knew that an involuntary blush was adorning her cheeks as she recalled the warmth of Keirtero’s eyes and the stoic expression on his face as he had asked the girl for some privacy.
“Phone call?” Naru wondered aloud, turning now to face Motoko. Naru’s emotions were once again under her control. “What phone call?”
Kira,” a voice called from behind an ornate wooden door. “Cancel any meetings I had scheduled today.” The door opened and a young woman with long black hair stepped out. She paused in front of the lone desk in the room. “I am going to be out the rest of the day.”
The assistant, a woman with light purple hair looking to be slightly older than her employer, nodded her head in understanding. “Should I forward your calls or would you prefer privacy?”
“Nothing is to disturb me today,” the woman ordered. “I am going to get Kei out of that damn nut house,” she declared, crossing her arms against her chest defiantly.
Kira’s eyes lit up in anticipation. “Truly?!” she gasped, clasping her hands together. “Can I…”
“No!”
“But Ruri…” Kira whined, her eyes pleading.
“No but’s. You’re too overbearing.” Having said that, Ruri left her office. There were some preparations she needed to make before she confronted the denizens of the Hinatasou.
There was something relaxing about flying through the air that allowed him to clear away his thoughts and troubles. ‘I should have been born with wings,’ he thought with a chuckle. ‘There’s a saying about that if I recall.’ As he approached Terra Firma, his body instinctively began to right itself. He landed deftly on a slight tree branch before dropping gracefully on to the ground. A young couple, who had been taking advantage of the beautiful weather and secluded nature of the park bench there were sitting on to make out, were nearly startled out of their skins when Keitero appeared in front of them.
The couple’s eyes widened when the man who had appeared out of nowhere, disappeared just as quickly. Keitero took to the trees once more, also taking advantage of the park’s secluded nature to make up lost time.
