okay, everything I was going to say has already been said by this site which is probably one of the best X Japan sites out there.

Anyways, X Japan is, for those who haven't caught on, a Japanese Rock Band. I found them when I was searching for music from the anime X, and at first I didn't really like them, because I heard one of their really sappy songs. But when I heard Sadistic Desire I thought, "wow these guys are good."

They were around in the 80's but broke up in the 90's. The lead singer was found dead, and the cop decided it was suicide. Although, like Kurt Cobain, Elvis, and other famous people many think a conspiracy was behind it. Either way, He's Dead.

X Japan plays pretty standard rock, as in, sweet, fast, metal type rock. Some of my favorite songs like that are Orgasm, Standing Sex, DAHLIA, X, I'll Kill You, and Stab me in the Back. Then they got a few slower, yet still pretty damn cool songs, like Rusty Nail or Kurenai. On the other side are the ballad type, the sappy type, that are all slow and got lots of Japanese classical stuff or plain piano in them. They actually made quite a few of these, like Longing, The Last Song, Goodbye, Es Dur, and Endless Rain. Not that these songs are bad, I respect them and I would not be surprised to find people who like them, but I don't like to listen to them.

One question that was on my mind was, why don't these guys come to America? I mean, they were obviously American rock. They have english in like half their songs. But the on reason I think is if the average American heard them, they would laugh at the funny pronuciation. I don't laugh beceause I think they are really good, but some jackass asshole will probably make fun of them. But in Japan, they were really popular. They sold out the Japanese Tokyo Dome three days in a row, so I heard, and thats pretty a lot.

Also, they are the first band (if not the only one) that I know of that made a CD called "Art of Life" which is just one 30 minute long song.
