Vegeta is the Saiyajin prince, as he survived the destruction of his planet, Vegeta-sei. He is the son of King Vegeta, and is pure evil at the beginning of the Dragonball Z series. Vegeta first came to Earth to find the Dragonballs and make a wish for immortality. However he was defeated by Goku and his friends. On planet Namek, Vegeta faced Freeza and his henchmen, and though he defeated Dodoria, and Zarbon, he was no match for the Ginyu. In the end, Vegeta was killed by Freeza but accidentally wished back to life and to earth. Vegeta was the last of the original Super Saiyajin (Goku, F.Trunks, Vegeta) to actually reach the level. Vegeta has gone through many stages, from being pure evil, evil, plain annoying, gettin better, and good at the end of the series. Vegeta's anger from not being able to turn Super Saiyan is what actually triggered his transformation. He trained in the room of Spirit and Time, along with his son from the future, to do battle with the androids and Cell. When Mirai Trunks was killed by a rejuvenated Cell, Vegeta tried to attack Cell, but was almost killed until Gohan saved him. The surprising thing was, he actually cared about his son, and for the first time, he tried to help another (when he shot a ki blast at Cell when Cell and Son Gohan were having the Kamehameha battle to distract him). In the Buu Saga, Vegeta allows himself to be possessed by evil so he can finally settle his rivalry with Son Goku. Majin Vegeta (who can go SSJ2) is just as powerful as SSJ2 Son Goku, and they fought a fierce battle. In the end though, Vegeta sacrificed himself to destroy Buu as an apology to Goku although though Buu still survived. Vegeta was later brought back to life to help Goku, and allowed him time to make a huge Genki Dama to destroy Boo.
