Jimmy and Goombario continued on the path to the Koopa Fortress when they noticed some item boxes hovering above them. They looked like they were in easy reach. Jimmy took out the super jump badge and took off the gusty blast badge and said. "I sure hope this works... Power Jump!" Jimmy shouted it and jumped up and broke the boxes open. "Wow! It worked!"

Goombario checked over what popped out. It appeared to be a sleepy sheep and a honey syrup. "The honey syrup'll help your attacks and the sleepy sheep can make all the enemies around fall asleep!"

"That might come in handy later." Jimmy commented and put the sleepy sheep item in his pocket along with the honey syrup. "Hey! A Mushroom!"

"You eat those to recover." Goombario commented knowingly. "Well, let's get the show on the road! You have a plan?"

"I make one up as I go." Jimmy replied as they continued walking. They noticed two koopas guarding the path and hid in the bushes as they loafed around.

"Man this is sweet to finally be on the winning side!" The koopa said cheerily. "Mario's out of the way so there's no one to stop us."

From behind the bushes, Jimmy turned to Goombario and asked quietly. "Those things are koopas, right?"

"Yeah, but they're loyal to Bowser so they're not enslaved." Goombario replied quietly. "They're probably guarding the path to Koopa Fortress."

"Did you hear something?!" The second Koopa asked. "I heard a noise like someone talking."

Jimmy and Goombario froze and stopped breathing to keep from making a sound as the two Koopas begin searching the area and paths. Jimmy whispered to Goombario. "We're probably gonna have to fight them..."

"I definitely heard something!" The First Koopa shouted suspiciously. "Coming from over there!"

Jimmy jumped out of the bushes and shouted. "Power Jump!!" He came down hard on the Koopa, knocking him on his back and Goombario followed with a head bonk attack which defeated the koopa.

The other koopa jumped back. "What in the..."

"Yes, we're very tough. You've probably come to that conclusion." Jimmy shrugged and then put his hands in front of him. "Fire Orb!" He summoned a bunch of fireballs and the Koopa ducked in its shell to avoid the attack and the flames flooded over him. He poked his head out only to cry out when Jimmy kicked his shell into the river. "Woo hoo! We won! Who's the man!?"

Goombario just smiled and walked up to him. "What's your plan for entering?"

"I think we'll use the sleepy sheep to put the front guards to sleep so we can sneak in and then we can sneak down to the caves to free the slaves." Jimmy proposed hopefully.

Goombario thought about that for a minute. "You sure? We could bust up the enemies first but we could do it your way."

"Sure I'm sure...we've got to get that Kooper guy back first though." Jimmy seriously said as he took out the sleepy sheep. He walked over to the troopas who were guarding the door and talking among themselves. He chucked the sleepy sheep to their feet and it exploded in a blast of knockout gas. They fell to the ground and they were snoring in seconds.

"Let's go!" Jimmy called and they both went into the building and they began sneaking. "They don't know we're here yet so let's take the opportunity to sneak down to the mine area.

They entered the building and found some trouble with a capital K. "Power Jump!" Jimmy jumped up and landed on the koopas, each graced with a foot in the face. Goombario headbonked them both while they were down and they followed the path to the spiraled tower. There was a way down and they walked down there but there was a locked door. "How do we get past this...wait! I have a fantastic idea! Fire Orb!!" He summoned a barrage of fireballs from his palms which blasted the door to ashes. "One toasty door."

"You know, we could have just found the key..." Goombario said to him. "Actually this WAS a good idea."

"Thank you!" Jimmy smiled triumphantly. "Let's free those troopas!"

They ran down the steps to a group of Troopas working in the mines pushing carts to the outside area. Jimmy looked at the hole and smacked his forehead. "Rats! We should've gone through there..."

"Who are you?" One troopa covered in dirt asked. "Um...is Mario going to save us?"

"Don't worry, I'll help you. We're here to free you all. The village should be safe seeing that we took care of that Magikoopa guy, Pare Ill." Jimmy replied.

"Where's Kooper?" Goombario asked.

"He's in prison for acting out and Bombette is in a metal cage." The Koopa said weakly. "He tried to set us free and now he's in jail."

"We'll help you by beating up the guards that guard the way out in here. Just stay there." Jimmy nodded bravely and walked up to the guards. "Hey Guys!"

"Who are you?!" The Koopa Guard asked suspiciously. "You don't look like anyone we caught!"

"I'm not gonna lie to you...well, let's fight!" Jimmy smirked as he swept out his feet. Goombario took the chance to headbonk him and he was beaten. Another attacked but Jimmy summoned a wave of fire that took it down. "Ha! That's it! Everyone, you can leave now! But please be quiet about it..."

"Thanks! But what if the Koopa Bros. find out about us?" The slave Koopas asked.

"They'll have to make a decision then! Which to get...you or us and we can be quite the pain." Jimmy maliciously commented. "Just escape okay? We'll find Kooper and Bombette."

When the Koopas left, Goombario led the way up the stairs to the main floor of the koopa fortress when they ran into the Koopa Bros. They jumped down from the top level and did their pose all complete with the finger flash. "Stop right there, kid!"

"Whoa, now I've seen everything." Jimmy sighed.

"I knew there was sumthin' goin down and I was right as always. Looks like RATS have snuck in!" Ninji Koopa Red called.

"Whatever shall we do?" Ninji Koopa Green asked, smirking.

"We'll exterminate them!" Ninji Koopa Red replied and smirked. "We were beaten by Mario but this kid shouldn't be much of a prob." They jumped into their shells and they began to spin and launched the attack. Goombario was in front of Jimmy so he grabbed him and used a power jump to attack to jump out of the way. They jumped up and pointed their fingers at him and they flashed, sending out a stun wave that connected and paralyzed and dizzied Jimmy. Goombario looked on in fright as they started their attack.

"Oh man! They're attacking again!" Goombario gasped. "Come on, Jimmy! Snap out of it!"

They launched their attack and they knocked both Goombario and Jimmy into the far wall with a crash. They jumped up and did a pose for victory. Jimmy shook his head and looked at Goombario who was lying on the ground. He smiled when Goombario groaned and slowly started to get up. Jimmy got up and shouted "Okay!! Now it's MY turn!" With lightning speed, he switched the Fire orb badge with the Gusty Blast Badge and summoned a harsh blast of wind that knocked all of the Ninji Koopas onto their backs. "Power Jump!" Jimmy ran towards them and jumped hard on Ninjikoopa yellow. Ninji Koopa Yellow cried out and went inside of his shell. Jimmy then kicked him into the other Ninji Koopas and with a crash, they were knocked onto their back.

"We're not through yet!" Ninji Koopa Red growled but then regained control of his chi. "Wait...you're not worth me losing my cool over. We'll meet again! Count on it!!" The Ninji Koopas then jumped up and left the scene with blinding speed.

"We did it! We beat them back!" Jimmy said as he turned to Goombario who was still feeling groggy.

"Ugh, that's great." Goombario groaned. "Ugh my head..."

Jimmy looked in his pockets and pulled out the mushroom he found. "Eat this. You said yourself it'll make you'll feel better from it."

"No! I don't need it." Goombario replied, wincing. "Honestly I don't need it..."

"Yes you do! Eat it!" Jimmy commanded and gave it to him. "Please eat."

"Well...if you really want me too..." Goombario mumbled as he started munching it. With a bright flash, Goombario jumped up. "Wow! I feel good!"

"I knew you would." Jimmy nodded. "Do you know where the prison is?"

"Yeah, it's upstairs." Goombario replied as they both ran up the stairs to the upper level of the fortress. They approached a locked door and Jimmy frowned. Goombario caught up with him and asked. "What's wrong?"

"This door is made of metal! I can't burn through it." Jimmy complained. "It's locked too, what're we going to do now?"

"We're going to have to find the key." Goombario replied. "I'll bet it's somewhere on the other side of the fortress."

"Oh Jeez! More walking..." Jimmy complained.

They walked back down the stairs and back down to the main level of the fortress. This time, they went into a different door and walked into the seemingly empty room and the door locked behind them. They turned around and gulped nervously. Goombario turned to him and said. "There's going to be a fight."

"Yeah, I know..." Jimmy sighed as three koopas and two bob-ombs jumped out.

"Not so fast!" The koopas called. "You want the key right? Well you're gonna have to take US out first!"

"Okay!" Jimmy smirked as he and Goombario took up a fighting stance.

"Whoa! We surrender!" The Bob-ombs shouted.

Jimmy and Goombario both lost their looks of determination and nearly collapsed on the ground in disbelief. Their eyes turned into dots and they stared at the troopas and bob-ombs bowing hastily in hopes for forgiveness. The enemies had anime sweat drops on the backs of their heads.

"Huh?" Goombario stared.

"Take the key! Take the key!" The koopa pleaded as he threw the key to Jimmy and Goombario's feet. "We'll open the door out for you two as well!" The koopa ran over and hastily pushed a switch and the door behind the two opened.

Jimmy and Goombario backed away from them and ran back up the stairs to the locked door. "Wow! That was quite a surprise!"

"They weren't as dumb as they looked!" Goombario commented as Jimmy opened the door and walked into the prison room and found Kooper and Bombette trapped in cages.

"Goombario!" Kooper shouted in relief. "Thank the stars you're here! Who's he?"

"Kooper and Bombette, I'd like you to meet Jimmy." Goombario introduced warmly.

"I'm honored to meet both of you!" Jimmy smiled and greeted him politely. "I'll get you out of there, just wait." Jimmy opened both their cages and they jumped out.

"Finally! Glad to be out of that cage! It was bomb proof." Bombette said and then turned to Jimmy in a friendly tone.  "Well, I've never seen you before! How'd you get here?"

"I use badges to do magic attacks." Jimmy shrugged. "I rescued you because I need the help of both of you. Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser again."

"Why doesn't Mario take care of it. Pardon me but you're a little young." Bombette commented. "How old are you anyway?"

"You kidding? I'm 15!" Jimmy replied, irritated slightly. "Man, I'm not a kid!"

"Wow, I'm shocked! And I'm a bomb!" Bombette replied. "So where IS Mario?"

"He was ALSO kidnapped by Bowser and Luigi too." Goombario sighed. "I hope we don't have to tell EVERYONE."

"Let's rescue him!" Kooper replied. "Can't wait for another Adventure!"

"Right." Jimmy nodded and they all left the prison and went downstairs and back down to the main lobby area. Jimmy noticed something unusual and walked over to the corner. "Hmm, there's something weird here."

"What?" Kooper asked as Goombario and Bombette came closer.

"Power jump!" Jimmy commanded and jumped up and hit an invisible block. Out popped a badge and Jimmy gave it to Goombario.

"This is the Dizzy Attack and it'll sometimes dizzy the enemies you hit. That's a cool badge." Goombario said and Jimmy got the badge from him.

"Good! Another Badge!" Jimmy replied. "I've got a plan, everyone. All you have to do is shield your eyes when the Koopas do their shiny finger attack. They like to pose first so it'll give you a clue of when they're gonna do it."

"We'll have a better chance now that we're all together!" Bombette said. "We tried to fight them but it was no good. They used that finger flash thing and it stunned us. I think it might be a new attack."

"We'd better go to Koopa Village! They're probably there already!" Goombario said with worry.

They ran all the way back to Koopa Village and no one was there. There wasn't a soul around. Jimmy walked around warily and asked everyone. "Where is everyone?"

Goombario and Kooper checked the houses but came out with their head shaking and Bombette checked Kooper and Kolorado's house but there wasn't anyone about. Bombette walked up to the others who were quite perplexed. "What's all this about? I thought the slaves were freed...!"

"They couldn't have rounded them all up already...so where is everyone?" Jimmy wondered.

"HELP!!" Someone cried in the direction of Kooper's house.

"I thought you checked Kooper's house?" Jimmy asked Bombette who shrugged in response.

"There's a path behind my house! It leads to well...a grove where fuzzies live." Kooper groaned. "Hopefully they didn't steal the shells of my friends."

They ran to Kooper's house and Kooper gasped. The house was missing a piece and Jimmy turned to Goombario and whispered. "Isn't this the house we got the chocolate from? And that's when the wizard attacked right?"

"You let that psycho wizard Pare Ill attack my poor house?!" Kooper blasted. "AND you also ate some of MY chocolate?"

"Sorry about that...I needed to get my energy up, which reminds me." Jimmy replied apologetically and then drank some of the honey syrup. "Whooah! Thatz good! Wow! I feel hyper! Whhooo!"

"I think you've had enough of that!" Goombario protested.

"Want some?" Jimmy asked in a bit of a hyper state.

"Sure!" Goombario gulped the last of it. "Yum! You shouldn't drink so much of it. It'll rot your teeth."

"Hey! He didn't even give some to us!" Kooper griped. "How rude! They even destroyed my house!"

"Don't worry! I'll treat you all to some after we rescue that guy!!!" Jimmy laughed and then enthusiastically ran out the back door of Kooper's house. The others followed him out and they walked out onto the path that led to the grove. The path itself seemed quite quiet which put Jimmy on the alert. "This is a little to quiet..."

"I know. Fuzzies live here and they're...well pests to the extreme." Kooper said.

"Nyeeow!!" Screeched a Fuzzy as it jumped down from a tree and bounced around them. "Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork! Meork!"

"Geez! What a pest! Outta the way you little black bug!" Jimmy snapped. "Go away!"

"Meeoork!! You rude! No let by to free koopas!" The lone Fuzzy protested. "Go! Go little boy! Scat!"

"I hate it! I'm 15! Fiffffttteeeennnn!" Jimmy growled. "Let me through!"

"No! Since you rude too, we fiiight!" The fuzzy growled back. "Mmmmmmeeeeyyyyooooorrrrrrkkkkk!!!!" Suddenly about 15 more fuzzies dropped down from the canopies of trees and they bounced around and sang or chanted along with the other fuzzy. "Meork! Meork! Meork! Fight! Fight! Fight! Meork! Meork! Meork!"

The Fuzzies bounced around and jumped onto the four and knocked them to the ground. Goombario got up and headbutted one and the defeated fuzzy ran into the bushes. "Listen up, Jimmy! These things are Fuzzies. They're not too tough to beat but their attacks are tough to protect from, they can also drain your strength!"

"Great..." Jimmy groaned and punched several of them away from him but they continued to attack. "Gusty Blast!!" Jimmy made a swishing motion with his hands and a blast of wind blew them away from him.

Bombette lit herself and shouted. "Watch out! Here I come!!" She ran her course and blew up in their ranks and the explosion knocked three of them clear off of the area. "Yes!!"

They jumped back and latched onto Kooper and started to blood suck his energy he cried out in protest and tried to get them off of him. Jimmy glared at them and tried to get them off of him and managed to pry off a few of them. Kooper jumped into his shell and rolled into a group of four and knocked them into the bushes. While this was going on Goombario did his best to headbutt the ones surrounding Jimmy and Jimmy summoned another blast of wind to knock the rest into Bombette which exploded again and blew them out of the battle. The fuzzies were finally mowed down.

"Whoa! That was tougher than I thought!" Jimmy commented as he fell onto the grass. "Everyone okay?"

"Sure, some of them bit me but I'm okay." Kooper remarked as he searched himself. "Thank goodness! No teeth marks."

"We've got only one thing left to do now...take out the Koopa Bros. and save your village!" Jimmy nodded and they continued onto the grove and they all cried out as they saw a pile of shells in the corner of it and they were all in a net in the center. "The koopas!"

"They're without their shells!" Kooper cried. "That's so embarrassing, why are they without them?"

"Cause the fuzzies helped us!" A voice called. "Prepare for trouble and make it double! To protect the world from..."

"Don't you dare start with that! I'm sick to death of hearing it!" Jimmy rolled his eyes. "Make up your own slogan!"

From the canopy of the trees jumped down the four Koopa Bros. "We're the Koopa Bros.! We're gonna put the hurt on all o' you!"

"We know who you are!" Goombario remarked, annoyed.

"On second thought...steal someone else's slogan!" Jimmy called.

"Enough!" Ninji Koopa red called. "Why don't you meet bowser yourself?"

"Whatever." Jimmy shrugged snidely.

Goombario turned to Jimmy and Jimmy knelt down to him and Goombario whispered. "This is fun, they've made a bowser machine and it's so easy to beat. You'll have fun, trust me!"

"What's with all the whisperin' over there?!" Ninji Koopas all asked in unison.

"He said that you don't look quite as bad as you smell." Jimmy said. "I'd consider that a compliment."

"Watch it little boy!" Ninji Koopa Green menaced and then he and the others ran off into the thicket.

"I am NOT A LITTLE BOY!" Jimmy yelled. "You asked for it!"

For a couple of seconds, there was nothing but then the ground shook under their feet as a massive Trojan Bowser appeared and it boomed in a voice that sounded megaphoned. "Gwa ha ha ha!! Prepare yourselves!"

Bombette went first and lit herself. She ticked and ticked towards the Bowser Machine and blew up right next to it, the explosion took off some of Bowser's foot. Then Kooper jumped into his shell and slammed into the torso of the machine and cracked it slightly.

Jimmy jumped up and took out the Dizzy Attack badge and placed it on himself. "Dizzy Attack!" He jumped up to the machine and there was a bright flash. The flash left to reveal 6 Jimmys surrounding the Bowser and then they started spinning around the Bowser doing weak punching attacks which caused the machine to shake Violently. When he was done, he and all his clones jumped back, the clones jumping into him to become one. The bowser machine was left with a bunch of holes on the lower part of the body.

The Bowser machine started to move and waved his arms in a slashing motion and crashed towards them. They all screamed in terror "AUGH! RUN!" and started to flee from it and they were chased all around the grove. Suddenly the Bowser's feet got caught by some roots and fell face first into the grove floor, still doing the slashing option. The slashings were making the Bowser model sink even more into the ground from within they heard someone talking. "What the hey?! We're stuck!!" The Bowser was STILL doing the slashing and sank even deeper into the ground. "The controls went nuts!"

Jimmy and everyone stopped running around in panic and stared at the downed bowser. Goombario walked over to Jimmy calmly and commented. "...At least it's good at digging."

"Actually...no it isn't." Jimmy replied as he took a step back and suddenly screamed. "RUN! It's gonna blow!!!" Everyone took cover as the Bowser machine started to smoke and eventually it exploded. The Koopa Bros. flew out of the wreckage about 100 feet into the sky. Koopa Red fell onto the ground first, then his brothers all fell on top of one another. They rolled off and coughed, smoke coming out of them.

Jimmy and everyone else did high 5's and cheers in victory. A badge flew down and landed on the ground next to Jimmy and he went to pick it up. The badge looked like a navy blue bomb with the fuse lit. "A Badge!"

"A blast badge to be exact. It'll give you an attack that'll do mega damage but unfortunately you take damage yourself." Goombario knowledgeably said. "Another magic badge for your collection!"

Suddenly the Koopa Bros. leapt up and gave an evil death glare at Jimmy. "We were beaten by Mario yes! I kinda don't mind being beaten by the best but I WILL NOT lose to some nobody!"

"He's not a nobody! He's Jimmy, and soon he'll be Bowser's newest ulcer and gray hair giver!" Goombario protested and then smiled at Jimmy and he smiled back. "Right?"

"You can be sure to tell Bowser that he's got a NEW enemy!" Jimmy called as the Koopa Bros. retreated into the woods. "Let's give these people a hand shall we?" Jimmy jumped up and ran to the tree, climbed it and inched over to the rope. "Teeny tiny fire orb." Jimmy commanded and summoned a couple of mini flames that burned the rope and the net with everyone fell to the ground and the net burst. They all cried out from the impact. Jimmy hopped down from the tree and smiled nervously, a small anime sweat drop appeared on the back of his head. "Sorry!"

"Thanks Jimmy, you saved the whole Koopa Village!" The Koopas all said as they rushed to the shells and put them on. "Whew! We could feel everything..."

"I don't think the Koopa Bros. are going to come back so don't worry about them." Jimmy said while scratching the back of his head with a humble attitude.

"Good show, old friends!" Kolorado complimented as he walked up to them. "For a while I didn't think you people would come but you pulled through! I want to give you something for helping us koopafolk out."

Jeremy smiled and said. "You don't have to..."

"But I want to!" Kolorado said.

"You should be honored! You're going to get a present from the great Archeologist Kolorado!" Kooper reacted. "You deserve it!"

"Thank you!" Jimmy said politely and they were led to Kolorado's house.

Kolorado opened the door and they walked into the Archeologist's house. It was full of mementos, trinkets and artifacts from the past and the house on one wall and on the other area was a beautiful kitchen and living area. There was a note on the wall but Kolorado didn't notice. He took Jimmy to the artifacts and opened a case and Jeremy's eyes widened. "Oh that's so cool!"

Kolorado took it out and showed it to everyone. It was a huge feather that was had a pure white body and had a golden tip. It almost looked like it was glowing. "This is a feather that I found in an ancient temple on an expedition. I don't know much about the details of the legends but there used to be an ancient civilization of winged people that were called Drakonians. That feather is the Feather of the Drakonite. The writings tell that the feather has magical powers."

"Magical powers...?" Jimmy thought.

"The magic of the feather is unknown though, sorry to say. I think you should have it because you might be able to use it, chap." Kolorado continued. "I spent many months trying to decipher the writings and finding out what the magic does but alas, it was lost in time."

"Wow..." Jimmy said as he gently received it. He placed it in his hair and it began to glow. Everyone looked on as the glowing ceased and Jeremy stared back at everyone. "What? Do I have something in my teeth?"

"I-It reacted!" Kolorado exclaimed. "I HAVE to write this down in my notes! Wait here!" He began frantically searching and found where he left off in his notes. He started to write. "Kolorado's Log, Date: Jaran 25th. I have given the feather away as a gift but the person I gave it to caused the feather to react. I have assigned the task of finding out what it does to a boy named Jimmy whom the feather reacted to."

"Huh?!" Jimmy stammered and his eyes became dots and he stared blankly. "I'm doing what now?"

"You simply must aid in my research! I've been studying that feather for a long time. Will you help me?" Kolorado pleaded. "I would be so grateful if you did."

Jimmy nodded and said. "Okay. You can count on me." They all left Kolorado's House and sat down, wondering what to do now. "Well, what do we do now?"

"We...we could go to forever forest and get the help of Lady Bow." Kooper replied knowingly. "She lives in the Boo mansion. Gusty Gulch is there too."

"Really? Parakarry went there to deliver a letter!" Jimmy realized. "We could get him too!"

"Then let's go! On to Forever Forest!" Goombario replied.
