They walked upstairs and found three statues in another large room. Jimmy looked at the statues and then he looked at the others. "Is it me? Or have I seen statues like these before?"

"That was the screaming statue!" Bow replied. "You axed it to break it aside and it screamed."

"There are no such things as screaming statues." Jimmy said.

"Yes there is! You killed my brother! Prepare to fight!" The Statues all roared and they started to move. "He was the one guarding the way to the top of the palace and you were the one who broke in here! Our beloved Crystal King was defeated in battle by a human. You are a human so I only assume you're after the queen!"

Jimmy, Bow, Goombario, Watt and Parakarry all took a fighting stance and Goombario asked. "Who's the queen?!"

"Why she's the Crystal Queen! She's been stewing in vengeance and now she may have it if you can beat us!"

They broke free of their pedestals and they started to charge at the group. They all cried out and ran from them Jimmy sulked and asked while running. "What's the stats on these things!?"

"Well..." Goombario hummed while being chased by a Triceratops figurine. "They're made of stone so...Fire won't work and neither will jumping. Lighting won't work 'cause stone won't...Augh!" He was rammed by the Figurine and slammed against the wall. Jimmy touched his teleport badge and beamed over there. He grabbed Goombario and beamed out before getting crushed by the statue. While in Jimmy's arms, Goombario continued. "They're probably weak against shatter so...you should use ice or something." Jimmy set him down and waved his feather, transforming it into a pickax.

"I'll try to pickax them. We're the only non fliers so they're out of those statue's reach!" Jimmy saw the three Triceratops statues running towards them and Goombario nodded to him. Goombario glowed and Jimmy felt himself glowing and surging with power. He took out the blizzard badge and summoned a wave of bluish white energy that floated around them all and they started to seize up. Jimmy took the chance to pickax them all into small rock bits. "That wasn't hard at all..."

"Well, they were just animated statues. They could only crush us." Goombario smiled but then looked away. "Um...Thanks for saving me..."

"No problem! I'd do it for all my best friends!" Jimmy smiled to them all. "Now let's go! We've got a date with the crystal queen!" They all ran up the stairs and finally felt the winds of the outside world. They seemed to be on the very top of a mountain and could look down on the world below. "Wow...it's almost like we're flying over the town below..."

"Penguin town looks so tiny..." Bow commented.

"Look! It's Kammy!!" Watt shouted and they all looked up to Kammy Koopa Circling over head. "Now what's up..."

"Well, I knew you'd make it past that stupid triceratops trio so I want you to meet a good friend of Bowser and mine."

An icy wind circled around them, and they all shivered from the unnatural gust. It swirled past them and formed into a female with ashen skin and white hair and icy blue eyes. It screamed with an earsplitting volume and everyone had to cover their ears. It started speaking in a voice that sounded evil and like three women at once. "So glad to meat and slay all of you..."

"Meet the Crystal Queen. She was very upset at your kind for killing her husband that she just had to take revenge. The only thing was that no one was around so her revenge just grew and grew...and now it turned her into nothing less than a Banshee. Well...I'll leave you to get aquainted...Oh right...I'm just telling you this but. I'll advise you to cover your ears when she screams, it's really something." Kammy flew off into the distance and the Crystal Queen studied her opponents.

The Banshee took in her breath and let it out. She screamed so loud that mountains in the distance were having avalanches. Everyone cried out and covered their ears and she continued screaming. Now it was so loud that the surroundings were starting to ripple like water and cracks formed underneath everything. Suddenly the land broke beneath them and Goombario and Jimmy fell down to the earth below.

Parakarry dived down and snatched Jimmy's hands up in his and slowed the fall speed. Bow appeared under Goombario and slowed his falling and they still landed hard on the ground. Jimmy and Goombario slowly got up and they saw the Banshee floating down to meet them. Jimmy back away from her and asked in a slightly quivering voice. "Who...WHAT is it?!"

"It's the Crystal Queen or otherwise known as a Banshee. Banshees scream like you wouldn't believe. Their so powerful that it can cause the nature to become evil at her voice. They're also incredible magic users so we're probably in for a tough battle..." Goombario said and then began glowing. "I'll channel my energy while you attack..."

Jimmy took out the Fire Orb badge and summoned a blast of flame which engulfed the Banshee. He continued until he saw in shock when it didn't even flinch. The Banshee took in another breath and screamed again and caused the ground to shake and trees around to fall. Lots of snow avalanched around them and Jimmy and Goombario got swept up in it. The snow knocked them into the cliff and the Banshee hissed at them and drew closer with her fangs bared. Bow flew up and gave her 5 hard slaps and she returned offense with a colossal slap of her own. Bow was knocked to the ground, senseless. Watt rushed at the Crystal Queen but she held out her hand and caused several crystals to appear and fly, streaming at Watt. They grazed and bounced off of her and the blow was overwhelming. They both transformed into badges and flew onto Jimmy's arm. Parakarry attacked her but she caught him and leered at him, making him tremble from terror. She threw him into a wall with amazing force and KOed him. Kooper and Lakilester jumped out of their badges and they leered but then gained looks of terror when the Banshee turned to them, grinning in a way that could make their skin crawl.

"Um..." Kooper backed away from it. "What is that..."

"That's not a woman...that's some sort of monster!" Lakilester mumbled timidly. "I can't believe it..."

The Banshee grew larger and her grin grew more evil and more sadistically gleeful. Goombario and Jimmy looked on helplessly as the Banshee cornered them. Kooper turned to Lakilester and they were trembling. "I-I feel so..."

"I know...so am I..." Lakilester gulped fearfully.

"You hath a lot to fear, for I will take your soul and it'll become a part of me, making me ever stronger. Your fear is like a ripe fruit for me to eat..." The Crystal Queen wailed in her trio woman tone. "Now give me your souls!!!" She screamed and they both fainted from fear. She smiled and touched them, making them off their normal colors. She hissed in glee. "Ahh...fear tastes so rich...revenge never was so sweet!"

Jimmy and Goombario squirmed out of the snow and Goombario jumped in front of him. "I-I-I'll protect you! D-don't worry..."

Jimmy studied the foe who was now twice her original size. "Physical attacks don't work on her...magic either...she seems to get stronger from each person..."

Goombario gulped in terror. "S-so..."

"She's evil yes...but I wonder if she...chooses to be...?" Jimmy said with wonder and Goombario backed away from her. Jimmy closed her eyes and approached her.

"What are you doing? Get away from her!" Goombario shouted. "She'll kill you!"

Jimmy sized her up and stopped his fear. "...Do you really want to do this?"

"YES!!" The Crystal Queen wailed with agony. "I want to take revenge!! You shall fear me!!!"

Jimmy looked at her with solemn eyes. "...No I won't..."

"What...?" The Crystal Queen growled. "How dare..."

"Your husband was defeated in battle by Mario...but that's no reason to get angry and vengeful. Negative feelings only lead to more negative feelings and you'll spiral downward. You have to think about positive things. Life goes on..." Jimmy then smiled earnestly at her and she looked intently at him, she was starting to shrink. "You know...We're not that different...I've lost my family to an evil force. Mario must have been evil to you...so don't you see? We shouldn't be enemies."

"I shall destroy..." The Banshee wailed but Jimmy shook his head.

"You can't. It won't do anything for you but fuel your rage." Jimmy said solemnly. "I used to be frightened and alone...just like you. I however didn't fuel the sadness but I found happiness again with my wonderful friends and I found something to attach myself to. I found people who love and except me for who I am. Don't you see? You can too! You shouldn't be alone, you've got too much to live for! You must learn to love again! You should be reborn as one without sadness and you too...will find your light at the end of the dark tunnel."

The Banshee looked at him solemnly. "... ..."

"I know you can! It's the only way for you to save yourself." Jimmy laughed. "Come on! You can do it and you can because I believe in you."

The Banshee floated back and she gently touched Lakilester and Kooper. The color returned to her bodies and she did something she never did in ages. A tear was shed and it rolled down her ashen face. It was not a tear of pain...but a tear of joy and Jimmy found it impossible to resist his eyes grew tearful and he walked into her arms and said. "You can."

Suddenly she started to glow a wonderful white and her outer Banshee shell disintegrated. She returned to her former form which took the shape of a beautiful girl and she smiled and hugged him back. "...Thank you...because of you...I have become free."

"Huh?" Jimmy asked.

"Banshees are ghosts that are formed when they are full of hatred, pain and agony. You've given me hope so you have set my soul free of that ashen casket. You are a very handsome boy, and I also sense that you're trying to become a Drakonian. I believe that you shall achieve it, thank you for rekindling fond memories of the past. It is now that I can join my husband...thank you." She then nodded and dissipated.

Goombario approached him and Jimmy hugged him close. "Thank you for being there for me...seeing the Crystal Queen really also taught me something about myself. I really can count on my friends."

Goombario sniffed. "Stop it...you're gonna make me cry..."

Jimmy put Goombario down and tended to everyone who was awakening. Lakilester floated up to him and asked. "So where's that girl?"

"She's a free spirit now...I helped her wash away her agony and despair. She's also helped me out too..." Jimmy replied gently. "...Now let's get the Mayor!" Jimmy touched his Teleport Badge and he teleported back up to the ledge and ran up to the cage. He swooshed his feather and it transformed into a key which he used to unlock it.

"Thank you, Jimmy." The Penguin Mayor thanked and shook Jimmy's hand with his fin. "I knew you would come and rescue me..."

"How did you know who I was?" Jimmy asked.

"Merluun sent me a message that you were coming. He had another prophecy about you failing the Drakonian test and you coming here to get the Snow Orb." Mayor Penguin replied. "Here's the snow orb. I've been keeping it for you."

"So you've had it all this time?" Jimmy asked intently.

"Yes and I wanted you to deal with the Banshee in exchange for it. You probably wondered why my people were so upset? She was screaming in the mountains and everyone's so terrified of it. Since you took care of it, I'm going to give this to you...now let's go back to my house. I know a short cut!"

Lakilester brought the Mayor and then Jimmy down to them and they took the shortcut home to Penguin town. They walked to Mayor Penguin's house and they were greeted by Miss Penguin. She smothered him in worried hugs and kisses upon arrival and he kissed her back. Then she made some tea and they sat down to talk.

"So what's this Snow Orb useful for?" Jimmy asked.

"The Snow Orb is actually a blue-white gem used in the becoming of the Drakonian. One of my duties is to create one for any Drakonians that are of the Becoming. Making one is really very easy for me but I have the Drakonians get me a stone from the top of the Ice Palace or Frozen Fortress in order for them to prove themselves." Mayor penguin recalled.

"Ah...so you have to prove yourself to become a Drakonian..." Goombario muttered in wonder. "Is it a dangerous mission?"

"Well, if you're strong in body and mind, you will succeed. Those who don't probably get lost in the mountains or killed somewhere." Mayor Penguin continued. "Not too many Drakonians pass both the tests so I don't have to make too many stones. I've only had to make about 40 or so in my life."

"I guess Jimmy's got something special in him." Parakarry guessed. "We have been traveling with him and he did get his Drakonian Feather from a professor Kolorado. The feather always helps you out in the toughest times, right?"

"Right, I rely on it quite often." Jimmy nodded.

"Okay...here is the stone." Mayor Penguin gave the stone to Jimmy and he found it was about the same size as the groove in his robes. "I'll bet it fits right here."

"So what's your mission?" Mayor Penguin asked.

"We're here to save Peach, Mario and Luigi from Bowser and Kammy Koopa." Kooper said. "We'll probably be able to reach the castle when Jimmy gets his tests done."

"Right! I'll be able to fly!" Jimmy cheered. "I'll bet it'll be awesome!"

"Well...I won't keep you any longer." Mayor Penguin said warmly. "It's time you got back to Tejina isle and give The Becoming a try."

"Thank you for all you've done!" Jimmy smiled and they were out the door. While they were walking back to Toad Town, Jimmy turned to Lakilester and asked. "You think I can do it? Become a Drakonian I mean..."

"Kid...there's nothing you can't do. I mean, look at the way you handled that creepy screaming bitch lady back there. That's gotta be worth something!"

"Well, that needed a lot of thought but I had a feeling that she just wanted to feel someone believed in her. I wanted to be that person." Jimmy replied, looking up in the sky at the clouds overhead. "I hope you're happy up there...you need to feel lighter than air..."

"...Who are you talking to?" Lakilester wondered in slight confusion. "...I don't see anyone!"

"Don't worry about that Drakonian business. There's nothing you can't handle!" Goombario smiled and he smiled back. "Well, we'll always be able to protect you."

"Thank you all. I really do think I can accomplish anything." Jimmy smiled to them all but everyone's smile quickly vanished when they saw what was ahead of them. The forest in which they came in was all frozen over and the hill they rode in on by sled was covered in ice. Everyone stared at the hill and it's deadly slope up and they all sighed anime style. "Um...any ideas?"

"You still think you can accomplish anything..." Kooper asked, a little irritated at the hill.

"I must admit...this is definitely the one part I like the least about sled rides..." Jimmy groaned and looked at the ice climb ahead of them. "Well, we'd better get going..."
