They walked into the town and saw there was some sort of problem. Jimmy looked around the people going about their business with no problems but Jimmy could sense something's wrong. He turned to his friends and asked. "You get the feeling something's wrong?"

"No, not really?" Kooper replied.

"Do you feel something's wrong?" Goombario asked.

"Well, I see that they're going about their business but they're a little edgy. See that one over there?" Jimmy motioned to the Penguin who bumped into another and they started yelling at one another. Jimmy turned to everyone and said. "It's just that people seem a little edgy."

"How about we see the Mayor of Penguin Town? He lives right here." Watt floated to the door and Jimmy knocked on it.

The Mayor's Wife opened the door and asked. "Um, Can I help you?" She looked quite a mess. "Please...if you're selling something..."

"Is the Mayor home?" Jimmy asked. "My name is Jimmy and I want to learn a little more about the snow orb and..."

"My Husband's not home..." She replied. "He's...you're Jimmy?"

"Yes." Jimmy replied.

"Please come in." She said.

They walked into the house and she turned to them. "Please sit down. I got a message from Merluun that you were coming here. You've got a knack for helping people out?"

"So we have a rep?" Jimmy laughed. "What do you want us to do?"

"I want you to rescue my husband. He's been kidnapped by the Koopa troops and they've taken him to the Ice Palace." She replied sadly. "I'm so worried about him...only you guys will be able to save him."

"I'm on it." Jimmy nodded and he got up from the couch. "I'll go to the ice palace immediately. I'll be back with the Mayor."

"Thank you!" She smiled as they left the house. "Take care!"

Jimmy walked out of the house with the rest of them. Jimmy walked with them to the town gate that led up the mountain. "The Ice Palace...where is it?"

"The Ice palace is up the mountain, let's go there." Goombario nodded. "Watch out for Ice Clubbas and Ice Piranha Plants. They're big and nasty but fire will take care of them."

They began their walk to the Ice Palace. The snow here, was over a foot deep and Goombario couldn't walk in it. Jimmy turned to Kooper and Goombario and said. "I think you guys should be replaced with flyers...then you guys won't be cold and over filled with snow."

"I don't want to!" Goombario protested. "How can I protect you if I'm a badge?!"

"Well, if you want to..." Kooper said. "I'm sick of all this snow, anyway." Kooper raised his arms and with a flash, he transformed into a badge and pinned himself to Jimmy's sleeve.

Bow's badge reacted and she flew out. "Hi guys!"

"Goombario..." Jimmy sighed. "You won't be able to keep up with us...if you don't become a badge."

"I don't want to!" Goombario pleaded. "Please don't make me into a badge!"

"Fine!" Jimmy smiled and picked him up. "I guess I'm going to have to carry you but I'm not doing this all the time..."

"Okay." Goombario smiled and they continued walking. They walked up the hill and found no deep snow drifts there. They stopped when they entered a chasm and they all sat down on the floor. "This place is kind of cold."

"I know...I wonder if the frozen fortress and the Ice palace are the same thing?" Jimmy wondered. "They seem similar in name..."

"They probably are!" Parakarry said. "Tejina Isle is really far away from the Shiver District so they probably mixed the names up a little."

"Great! We can save the Mayor of Penguin Town and get the snow orb as well!" Bow nodded.

"Two things in one trip!" Watt smiled.

"Don't you mean killing two birds with one stone?" Bow asked.

"Oh my stars!! That's horrible!" Watt protested loudly. "How could you say that?!"

"It's just an expression!" Bow griped. "Don't take it to heart!"

"I think we should get moving." Jimmy grunted as he jumped back up. He picked up Goombario and they walked out the other side of the chasm. "Well, it doesn't look like there's any deep snow anymore." He put Goombario down and they walked up the stairs to the next level. "You know, these stairs don't seem natural."

"Well, this palace was created by an ice magi so he could manipulate ice any way he can. He also loved mirrors and placed them in his palace anywhere." Goombario said. "It's actually now a hideout for the bad guys again."

"I guess this ice guy was into rooms that looked more spacious then they were." Watt commented. "I don't like mirrors in a room, it's kind of creepy."

"Well, at least you'll never be lonely!" Jimmy smiled as they cleared the stairs and continued ascending up the icy cliff. "Ice is really nasty, you could slip and hurt yourself."

"Or you could slip off the whole cliff!" Goombario shivered. "That's NOT a pleasant thought.

They all began climbing another stair case. They finally made it to the top of the cliff and looked on the ice palace. It hadn't changed since they took back the last Star Spirit from the Crystal King back on the last adventure. "Wow! It's gorgeous!"

"Well, it's probably filled with Clubbas and Duplighosts and Ice Piranhas and more nasty creatures." Parakarry said. "Well, let's go in before we all get frostbite."

They walked in and the interior of the palace was just as cold as the outside. Jimmy gazed at the mirror and smiled. "Whoa! I look good!"

"Get over yourself!" Goombario smiled and turned to Jimmy. "...That's not a mirror..."

"What do you mean?" Jimmy asked, turning away from the mirror. The reflection did not do the same thing. "The other side is exactly like ours!"

Suddenly the ghostly figures jumped through the glass and tackled Jimmy. "Augh! Duplighosts!" Jimmy jumped up and away from them and summoned a gusty blast that blew them off of his friends. The duplighosts smiled devilishly and vanished. "Well, that wasn't to hard."

"They're not gone...they were just temporarily removed." Bow nodded seriously. "They'll be back, so let's get to the bottom of this palace."

They walked into the next room and saw that they had no reflections and saw a crack in the wall. Jimmy turned to Watt and she nodded. She changed into a badge and Bombette popped out of her badge. Bombette wound herself up and blew up the wall and in the explosion, four more bombettes popped out. Jimmy looked at them all and asked. "What's the deal?"

"I'm the bombette you want! Remember that Kooper and I gambled in the casino together?" Bombette 1 said flatly.

"Well, he didn't want to gamble too much. He hated it actually." Bombette 2 mumbled.

"It's a good thing that he took the other coin I found and gave it to some couple. I know I'd just gamble it away..." Bombette 3 sighed.

"No it wasn't! He had no right to do that!" Bombette 4 protested.

"Well it's not our fault you should be in gambler's anonymous!" Bombette 2 shouted. "You're the gambling addict."

"Wow, they're all really good!" Bow nodded.

"How much did you win?" Jimmy asked.

"We only lost one coin! It used to be a lot more than that!" All Bombettes shouted. "Get off my back!"

"Wow, they're good." Jimmy mumbled and walked through the door, everyone was following him. "Well, see ya!"

"Hey!!" Bombette shouted and ran after him, leaving the fakes behind, arguing over how they felt about Gambling. "Wait for me!"

They enter the next room which had the reflected room a little different. Jimmy looked it over and he looked up in wonder. "Umm...what's up with this room?"

"There's a way into the next room over here." Bow nodded as they went across the section not glassed in and they walked into the room next to them. After they go through more rooms, Bow's getting more and more bored. "MAN, this is boring!"

"I don't wanna be around so more Duplighosts can take my shape. I'm going back to badge! Hey Watt! Come back out!" Bombette said and transformed into her badge. Watt jumped out of her badge and they continued walking.

"How come every room looks the same?" Jimmy asked. "This is getting really monotone." They enter a room with a giant triceratops statue. "Whoa..."

"That statue's huge!" Jimmy commented. "Help me push it guys!"

"No one's able to push it." Bow said flatly. "I'm the only one besides you with arms and I'm a ghost so I won't be able to."

"Man you guys are useless!" Jimmy shouted. "Just kidding...well, this calls for feather power!" Jimmy waved his feather and it transformed into a huge pickax and smashed it into the Triceratops statue. It screamed and broke into three pieces. It fell to reveal a hole to the lower level. Jimmy changed his pickax back into the feather. "All right! We can go to the lower level!"

"Um, why did that statue scream?" Bow asked to Jimmy. "Normally statues don't scream."

"Well, at least the way is open." Goombario said. "We can hop down through here."

"I only hope you don't have to destroy any more screaming statues." Bow commented as they hopped down the hole and they entered the next area. The next area was a large room that looked really suspicious. They looked around and Bow turned to them. "I don't like this..."

Suddenly there was a puff of smoke and a Magikoopa appeared. He laughed at them and boomed. "Welcome to the Ice Palace! You want to rescue that fat Penguin Mayor!?"

"He's fat? How fat?" Jimmy asked.

"Hey! This is serious!" Bow snapped at him.

"Why did you kill my brother?" The Magikoopa scowled. "He never did anything to you except try to kill you. You should have let him!"

"Who would this Magikoopa you claim we killed be?" Goombario asked.

"Don't play dumb with me!" The Magikoopa snapped. "You may BE dumb but you should at least know what I'm talking about!"

"Um..." They wondered. "Who ARE you talking about?"

"You're such a bunch of morons! It's Pare Ill!" The Magikoopa gripped. "Don't you recognize me?!"

"Well...you and him sort of share the same bad attitude..." Jimmy mumbled.

"And you both should be in Anger Management!" Goombario mumbled.

"And you kind of smell like cheese, just like the other guy." Jimmy mumbled.

"And you have that same vein poke out of your forehead..." Goombario mumbled.

"Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!! My name is Dan Gurr and that's the last thing you're going to hear before meeting your maker!!!" Dan Gurr roared. "Prepare yourself!"

"He screams like the other one too..." Jimmy whispered to Goombario.

"They're brothers but have different last names..." Goombario whispered back. "What's up with that?"

Suddenly Dan Gurr vanished and reappeared in the corner of the room. He swung his wand and unleashed a blast of energy at them. They ducked out of the way and the power hit the wall. The four bricks it hit transformed into 4 Ice Clubbas. Dan Gurr then vanished and the Four faced off against four of the enemy. Goombario closed his eyes and concentrated. He began to glow and Bow jumped onto Jimmy's head and made him transparent. Watt started focusing and Jimmy took out the Fire Orb and the Gusty Blast. Watt jumped in the ranks of the Ice Clubbas and zapped them in a illuminating blast, paralyzing them. She flew out of the way so Jimmy could hit them with a magic attack. He combined the badges and summoned a vicious blast of wind which swallowed up the clubbas and they were spinning around in the spiral wind. Jimmy added the flames to their misery and they disintegrated in flames. Jimmy and everyone smiled when the disgruntled Wizard reappeared. "What the heck happened?!"

"We beat your flunkies! What else you got planned?" Jimmy asked intently. "Maybe you should fight us yourself. You are stronger then your minions right?"

"How dare you!!" Dan Gurr yelled. "I'll get even with you for destroying my brother if it's the last thing I do!!" At that, he swung his wand at them, unleashing an ice wind of magic. They dodged it and it coated the walls and floors in ice. They looked back and the ice gleamed ominously. Dan Gurr then spun and disappeared.

Goombario turned to them, he was still glowing from his powerup. "This is Dan Gurr which is the brother of Pare Ill which we beat really early back at the Koopa Village. This guy's obviously more powerful and we should aim for him when he appears. He uses some magic against us so watch out."

Dan Gurr reappeared and summoned a fireball which they dodged but the explosion from it knocked them onto the ground. Dan Gurr dissipated again and Jimmy sighed. When Dan Gurr appeared again, Goombario launched himself and knocked the wizard all the way into the far wall. He collapsed and slowly got back up, growling in rage. He smirked and chanted another spell, one that caused black smoke to whirl around him, wiping him translucent. Parakarry got inside his shell and flew into him but went right through him and crashed into the wall. He fell to the ground with a huge bump on his head and anime swirls for eyes.

"What now!?" Jimmy asked.

"He made himself transparent. Physical attacks won't hurt him." Goombario replied wisely. "Use magic."

Jimmy jumped back and took out the Lightning badge and Dan Gurr vanished before he got hit by the lightning. It did however, fizzle out on the wall and shocked Parakarry. Jimmy gasped and ran over to him. "Parakarry! Sorry! Are you hurt?!"

"Yes..." Parakarry groaned.

Dan Gurr reappeared far from them and shouted. "Over here!" He swung his wand and summoned a lightning bolt at Jimmy and he swung his feather in front of him. The feather magically growing and hardening to shield him and Parakarry from it. Dan Gurr then summoned another lightning bolt which zapped goombario and knocked him back, electrocuted. Dan Gurr laughed cruelly and vanished again. Goombario groaned and twitched a little. After a moment, Dan Gurr appeared Behind Jimmy and Jimmy turned and attempted to zap Dan Gurr with lightning but the lightning also went through him. Dan Gurr countered with lightning of his own and Jimmy got struck by it and went flying to the ground. Dan Gurr once again laughed cruelly and vanished.

Jimmy slowly got up and groaned. "It's not working! How are we gonna beat him now?" Just then Dan Gurr appeared and summoned another chain of lightning at Jimmy but Watt rushed and blocked it, the lightning fed her and she zapped back but the bolt went through Dan Gurr. He shrugged and disappeared again.

He reappeared and shot another bolt of lightning at Jimmy and Bow made him transparent and the bolt flew right past him. Bow looked down at Jimmy and said. "This won't work forever, he'll probably adapt. I HATE not being able to do anything!!"

Goombario groaned and got up. "Whoa, there's a pain that's new..."

"How do we stop him! Physical and Magic attacks don't work at all on him!" Jimmy cried out frustratedly. "Whoa! He's Back!" Dan Gurr appeared again and summoned this time a three orb triangle which then shot beams of fire, ice and lightning at them. They hid behind columns to avoid getting shot."

"Um..." Goombario pondered but then smiled widely in realization. "All of his magic attacks are projectiles! If you had some way of reflection...they would bounce right back and hit him!"

They saw Dan Gurr growl and vanish again. Jimmy ducked out from behind the column and took his feather from his hair. He transformed it into a mirror and Dan Gurr appeared again. Jimmy jumped back, hid the mirror and took out the Provoke badge. He summoned it's power and he glowed a pink glow. He giggled whimsically and wagged and patted his but at Dan Gurr while winking. Dan Gurr glared viciously at him and screamed. "You'll pay for this insolence!!!" He then began multishooting lightning bolts at Jimmy but he just smirked and whipped out the mirror. Every single one of his shots bounced off the mirror and flew back and hit the wizard. He felt the pain of one, two, three, four, five and finally the sixth bolt. He screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground. He disintegrated and appeared as the teleportation badge.

Jimmy picked it up and Goombario walked up to him. "That's the teleportation badge. It'll beam you to another part of the room. All you have to do is have it on and touch it when you want to teleport. The catch is that it'll only beam yourself around and only for small distances. You can't use this baby to warp back to the Toad House in the mushroom kingdom just so you know.

"Wow! That was hard!" Jimmy sighed.

"That was one of my apprentices!" Kammy shouted as she floated into the room. "You've killed my second one! I'll never forgive you for it! I only have one more but she's the strongest of all! If you live to see her, it'll only mean more problems for you!" Kammy laughed and flew up the stairs to the upper level. "I'll see you at the top!"

"Is everyone okay? Do you need treatment?" Jimmy asked Goombario and Parakarry.

"No..." They both groaned. "We'll be fine!"

"I shouldn't have even asked." Jimmy griped and split a super mushroom. "You guys eat this while I eat this piece of shroom cake I saved. We'll need the energy for the fights ahead." Jimmy smiled as they ate their cake and mushrooms. "Wow! I feel much better!"

"Thank you!" They both nodded. "We feel better too."

"Fine, then let's go to the upper level now to find out what we're up against." Everyone got up and ran up the stairs after Kammy to find out what they had to face next.
