Jimmy walked over to Tayst E's House and Bow followed him there Jimmy was about to knock on the door when he suddenly realized what time of day it was. He turned to Bow and sighed. "It's only 7:30! She wouldn't be up!"

"Um...this is Tayst E. we're talking about. She's always up at the crack of dawn baking." Bow replied. "Just knock the door..."

"Why would she be up at the crack of Dawn Baking?" Jimmy asked oddly.

"She loves to cook and bake. She can combine many things together to form new items." Bow said. "We'll need a super mushroom and Cake mix in order to make the shroom cake."

"Well let's go get those first. I don't want to bug her without even being prepared." Jimmy nodded and began the walk to the store. He walked into the store and checked it out. It was a modest looking store with lots of food for sale. He picked out the Super Mushroom and found some cake mix on the shelves. "I'd like to buy these."

"Oh that's nice. What are you doing with them? Making Shroom Cake with Tayst E? I just moved in here and I sell Cake Mix. I'm a Shyguy and My name's Shop Guy." Shop Guy introduced. "Here's your items, that'll be 20 coins."

"Here." Jimmy gave him the money and they walked back to Tayst E's house. Jimmy knocked on the door and turned to Bow. "I hope you're right about this."

She opened the door covered in flour. She giggled. "Hello dear! My name's Tayst E. and cooking's my life! ^_^ "

"Um, could we bake something with your help?" Jimmy asked. "But if your busy..."

"I'd love to help you!" Tayst. E. took him by the arm and let him into her house. The house was well...mostly kitchen and it smelled of past cuisine that still hung in the air. "What do you want me to help you make?"

"Shroom Cake if you don't mind." Bow said.

"That'll be easy! It'll only take us an hour." Tayst E. said to them. "Hi Bow, some terrible things have been happening in the Mushroom kingdom. Princess Toadstool has apparently been kidnapped by Bowser. Too bad he has to do that to get her attention by doing that. I'm sure he'd get a lot more positive reaction if he was just nice to her!"

Jimmy began putting the stuff together as Tayst E. asked. First he started with the batter and when he whipped it up, he put the dough in 2 separate pans and placed them in the oven. "That's done...what now?"

"We'll do the icing! What color should it be?" Tayst E. asked.

"What's Goombario's favorite color?" Jimmy asked Bow.

"His favorite color is blue." Bow said. "What's yours?"

Jimmy and Tayst E. were mixing up the sugar and cream mix and they added the food coloring. Jimmy turned to Bow and replied. "White."

"Blue and White go really well together..." Bow dreamily said. "No wonder you and Goombario are such good friends."

"Bow..." Jimmy mentioned. "I wonder it Goombario like me... I mean...he has to protect me. That's a pretty crummy job."

"Yes he does." Bow nodded. "He likes you a lot. Do you like him...?"

"Yes I do." Jimmy smiled and nodded. "I hope he likes this...I'm going to bet Goombario a present. We're going to the Shiver Region so I think he'll like it. I'll even get a blue one!" Jimmy said as he went out the door. He ran to Jakie Takie's and entered the store. "Hi!"

"Hi! I just opened...what are you looking for?" Jakie asked.

"I want a tuke for a friend." Jimmy said as he looked through them. "Here we go! This one!" He brought it up to the counter and she examined it.

"It'll be 15 coins." Jakie said and she got the coins. "What's the tuke for?"

"It's for a friend. We're going to the Shiver district." Jimmy said.

"Well, you'll have to go the hard way. The Pipe that leads to the underground disappeared! Very mysterious..." Jakie said. "Usually there's a way down underground but unfortunately, the pipe itself seemed to have Vanished!"

"Really?" Jimmy asked as he took the Tuke and put it into a bag. "Well I'll be going now..." He walked back to Tayst E's house and asked Bow. "Did you know that the underground pipe maze beneath Toad Town isn't there?"

"What?" Bow asked.

"Seriously!" Jimmy said. "We're gonna have to go the long way."

"What!? That'll take days!" Bow shouted and suddenly the oven dinged. "Well! Cake's done! When it cools, we can ice it and I prepared the mushrooms!"

Bow left with Jimmy and they walked to the place where the pipe would normally be but it wasn't there. There wasn't even a hole where the Pipe WAS. Jimmy looked over it and asked Bow. "Was there anything there?"

"Yes! There was a pipe that lead to the underground area, an area that connects the whole Mushroom Kingdom together. But it looks like this pipe never existed!

"That's because I've removed it!" Kammy cackled from behind them. They turned to see her and she cackled again. "Have fun walking! By the time you get there, we'll be ready for your whole group! Well, see you around!" She flew to the north and they frowned.

"Oh no! Now we'll have to go the long way..." Jimmy groaned. "...But I think it'll help me. Let's go back Tayst E's and ice that cake!" They went back and iced it. The cake was vanilla and blue now with four mushroom quarters on it. They took the cake and the presents and brought them back to the Toad house. There they saw Goombario and Everyone else waiting for them on the Bed. "Uh oh!"

"Where were you?" Goombario asked but his eyes widened when he noticed what Jimmy was holding. "I-Is that..."

"It's Shroom Cake! I heard that you liked it! I also heard it was your birthday..." Jimmy smiled warmly. "I also got you something. Happy Birthday."

Goombario's eyes Shimmered and he smiled. "You didn't have to..."

"...But I wanted to." Jimmy replied flatly. "I want us to be good friends and doing this is what friends are for! Besides...I got Tayst E. to help me and the recipe was really very easy."

"I...um..." Goombario sighed. "Thank you..."

They all went outside and ate the shroom cake. It was really delicious and hit the spot. Jimmy was sitting with Goombario and he turned to him. "I also got you this." He handed Goombario a bag and undid it. He showed the tuke to it.

"Oh it's...awesome!" Goombario smiled at Jimmy who smiled back. "Wow! I think you're the greatest friend anyone could ever have..." Goombario said. "Thank you..."

Jimmy brought him up and hugged him close. Goombario smiled and Jimmy brought him back down. "You're my best friend too."

Goombario donned his new Tuke and asked. "How do I look?"

"You look great, Goombario." Jimmy said. "You look ready to hit the snow world."

Bow flew up to them and smiled at Goombario who just looked away. "Well...shall we get ready for our Journey?"

Jimmy and Goombario got up and they all walked out the north gates to the palace. They turned left and hit the path. They walked the path northeast and found it getting chilly. Jimmy donned his Drakonian Robes and they continued walking. "It's getting quite chilly..."

"Check it out!" Watt shouted and they got a look at it. It was a huge collection of majestic mountains with snow on them. The areas around the foots of the mountains were also covered in snow. There stood a valley in the bottom of it all. There was where the Penguin Town is. "Wow! The view is something else!"

They ran down the hill and they found a huge Toboggan. Jimmy checked it out and found that it was still good. "Wow! What are the odds?"

"I don't know...just finding a sled in the middle of the road looks a little suspicious to me..." Parakarry said. "I don't think we should use it."

"It'll be fun!" Jimmy said. "It'll be just like when I was a kid...I think?"

"It'll save us a lot of walking..." Watt said. "But then again, I don't do any walking."

"I wanna ride! Let's go!" Kooper said.

Jimmy took the Toboggan out and sat down on it. "I'm riding up front!"

"No you won't! You'll get hurt!" Goombario protested.

"Fine. You ride up front." Jimmy said flatly.

"No way!" Goombario replied.

"Well I don't want to." Kooper said. "Wait, yes I do! Stand back, sissies!"

Kooper got into the Front and then Goombario and Jimmy sat behind him and Parakarry and Watt took the rear of the toboggan. "I feel like our quest is gonna get cut short..."

They shoved themselves off and they began their ride. They first enjoyed it but then the path started to narrow and they went in the forest. "Bwah! Trees!!" Jimmy and everyone else swerved to avoid being bushwhacked. They swerved and more trees rushed up to meet them.

Kammy Koopa ducked out from behind a tree and she cackled. "Ha ha ha! I KNEW they'd fall for it! These woods are like a death trap for sledders."

"AAGH! Stop the ride! Stop the Ride!" Kooper whined. "I wanna get off!!"

"Shouldn't we use the brakes to slow ourselves down?" Goombario suggested.

"This doesn't HAVE any brakes!" Parakarry griped as they shifted themselves to avoid another tree. "Wah! It's some sort of ramp!"

They flew off the ramp which was actually a small rise in the land and they landed hard on the ground. They were still going at blazing speed. Jimmy took out the Agility Badge. "Maybe this'll increase our reaction speed..."

"Or maybe it'll make the SLED faster!" Kooper whined again. "Don't risk it!"

"LOOK, if you were going to be such a wimp, I wouldn't have let you ride in front!" Jimmy said harshly. "It's going to be fine!"

"Speaking purely hindsight!" Kooper griped. "Oh man! We're all gonna die."

"I should have rode in front so I wouldn't have to listen to him whine." Parakarry grumbled.

"I can't see very much so I...oh my stars! TURN, TURN, TURN!!" Goombario shouted.

They all leaned over and dodged the tree fast approaching. Kooper turned to Jimmy. "You want to..."

"STEER!" Jimmy shouted, almost hysterical! "Oh man! Watch out!"

They hit another rise in the hill which acted as another ramp. They all came down on the ground landing in a loud "Phomp!" they all cried out when the path made a sharp turn and they were fast approaching it. Jimmy took out his feather and waved it and threw it into the sharp turn. It transformed into a bank that made the turn easy. As they made the turn, Jimmy touched the ramp and it turned back into a feather and Jimmy smiled but then they all cried out when they saw the bridge was out. Jimmy whished his feather out and it flew ahead, transforming into a ramp. They jumped the ramp and Jimmy got his feather back. They flew over the gap and landed on the ground on the other side. They suddenly saw they were heading into a clearing and the path became more level so they swerved to the side but the sled tipped over, causing everyone to fly off. They tumbled in the snow bank and groggily, they all got up.

"I see lots of white." Watt complained. "Are we in heaven? Did we die?"

"No...but I think I left my heart back there..." Kooper replied tiredly. "Are we in Penquin town?"

"No such luck..." Jimmy groaned. "We're in a clearing in the forest and I usually know what happens to us in forest clearings..."

"Man, you're getting to become bright after all!" Kammy shouted from above them. "But you're still dim witted!"

"Jeez! Don't you have anything BETTER to do?" Parakarry asked, irritated. "Seems that everytime there's a pain, you're around."

"HA! You guys fell for the trap! Too bad you survived the Sled run...how did you find it?" Kammy morbidly asked.

"Horrible!" Everyone but Jimmy said with annoyance.

"That wasn't too bad, I've been on scarier things though." Jimmy said. "Knowing you...you've probably got some sort of monster for us to fight..."

"Am I becoming THAT predictable?!" Kammy sighed. "Well, I've got someone else in mind. He's a friend I met from the Mana World a few years back when mana was pure and divided by all. This creature fascinated me and it lived in this environment. Meet Boreal Face, a plant like monster who loves to eat little brats like you. Well, he should be coming around now. See you around!" Kammy flew off smugly on her broom but turned back. "...Wait, I want to see this for myself..."

The ground started to shake around them and suddenly a monster that looked sort of like a blue pineapple appeared. The pineapple opened to reveal some sort of mutant plant monster. Jimmy took out the Fire Orb badge while the others backed away from it as its thorny vines unraveled. Goombario stepped back and told everyone. "Boreal Face...a plant like monster. I don't know much else about it."

Boreal Face grabbed Kooper by the legs and lifted him up. "Agh! it's got me! Ouch! The thorns!" Boreal Face opened its mouth wide and Kooper gasped. "Whoa! Do something!"

"Fire Orbs!" Jimmy commanded and summoned a barrage of fireballs that flanked the pineapple monster. It screeched and dropped Kooper on the snow. "Ow!" Kooper grabbed his knee and his hand got a little bloody.

Goombario started glowing and Jimmy suddenly felt warm. "I'm giving you some power to deal with that thing!"

Watt concentrated and started to build up her energy. She then rammed into the Boreal Face and electroshocks it. It screamed and countered with a vine lash. Watt landed groaning at Jimmy's feet and he dodged all the whipping tentacles. Kooper and Parakarry got into their shells and blocked their attacks but Goombario met with some stingings. Jimmy saw this and picked up Watt and jumped to take the rest of the Attacks, his feather becoming giant enough to cover them both and hard to shield them from getting lashed. Goombario had some cuts on him. "Thank you..."

"No problem but how do we beat it?" Jimmy asked.

"It doesn't move so we should have some clear shots at it. It's attacking now but I'm sure it'll exhaust itself. Attack then." Goombario said.

"I've got an idea." Jeremy said and they waited until Boreal Face stopped attacking. Jimmy ran up to it and said. "...I give up. Eat me."

Kammy smiled at this. "Ooh, this is getting even better."

"What are you doing!?" Goombario asked.

Jimmy turned and winked at him. "Trust me." He turned back to Boreal Face and shouted. "Eat me!" Boreal Face roared and grabbed Jimmy by his ankle and forced him in its mouth and swallowed him whole.

"Noo!!" Goombario shouted.

"What is he doing?!" Parakarry asked loudly.

"There! Bowser will be SO pleased!" Kammy snickered and flew away.

"Noo!!! Why did he do that?!" Parakarry yelled. "...?"

Boreal Face appeared triumphant at first but he suddenly gained a grossed out look and he was getting panicked. They all stared in wonder at the Boreal Face monster and suddenly, without warning, it exploded. Plant guts and it's dismembered body fell everywhere to the ground and it grossed everyone out. Jimmy sat in the center of it all, coughing and groaning. "Whoa ouch...that was painful..."

"Jimmy!!" They all cried and ran to him. "What did you do?"

Jimmy grinned at them mischievously and showed them all the Blast Badge. "Eh Hee hee...Remember the Blast Badge that I got from the Koopa Bros.? Finally it's useful..."

"Whoa! You EXPLODED Boreal Face?!" Kooper asked in disbelief. "That's gross!"

"Oh well..." Jimmy cleaned himself off and looked them over. "Anyone hurt? I'll fix you guys up when we get to the Toad House in Penguin Town." Jimmy began to walk when he stepped on something. He leaned down and saw the blizzard badge shining in his hand. "Well well..." He pocketed it.

They walked past the clearing and to their surprise and satisfaction, there was Penguin Town. The town had lanterns lighting the way for the citizens and the Skating Pond was full of Penguins. The houses looked pristine and full of warmth, even though it was cold out. They walked into the gates, thankful they were finally through that forest."
