Jimmy sat down on the couch in the house. Goombario and Parakarry jumped up on either side of him and they glared at one another. Bow just sat in a chair and smiled at them both, thinking. "Want me to separate you to?" causing them to leave each other alone. Lakilester floated in and sat Beside Bow. The elder walked in slowly, holding some tea and cookies. "I made these for you guys because I sensed you were going to arrive. Welcome Rogon."

"Thanks sir." Rogon nodded. "It's an honour to see you again."

"Thank you for inviting us in." Jimmy said as he sipped some tea. "Mmmm..."

"Tea with just a touch of milk and sugar. Just the way you liked it back when you were a kid?" The Elder said. "How have you people been faring?"

"Well we've got all the people from the last quest that Mario did." Jimmy replied, taking a bite out of a cookie. "Whoa! These are great!"

"You loved them when you were a kid. What's wrong? You're acting as though you don't remember anything from your childhood." The Elder said, concerned. "How come?"

"My Memory was wiped when I was dumped into my world." Jimmy frowned and looked away... "I don't remember anything since last year..."

"It would be a spell your parents cast on you so you wouldn't be sad about all that's happened." The Elder said. "My name is Merluun and I was one of your magic teachers. We were quite close."

"Cool!" Jimmy said. "You have to meet my friends." He turned to Lakilester and introduced him. "His name is Lakilester and he joined us mostly to get away from committing to his annoying girlfriend."

"That's not why I joined you!" Lakilester protested but then looked up in thought. "...wait...that's sounds right..."

"This is Bow. She's a pretty ghost who helped us beat back the fairies in forever forest." Jimmy smiled and introduced her.

"The pleasure is mine." Bow greeted.

"This is Parakarry! He's a postal worker and one of my best friends." Jimmy said.

"Nice to meet you." Parakarry smiled and then shot a slightly smug glance at Goombario. "I'm Jimmy's protector."

Jimmy turned to Goombario and smiled. "This is Goombario...he's my best friend and he's protected me from the very beginning of the journey. He saved my life when I was poisoned."

"I'm charmed..." Goombario replied and then looked up at Jimmy. "I didn't do that much..."

"He's modest too..." Jimmy added.

"Hm?" Parakarry mumbled to himself.

Jimmy set his character badges down and with a bright flash, they transformed into Watt, Kooper and Bombette. Jimmy smiled as they introduced them. "Their name's Kooper, Bombette and Watt and they've helped me out on the road as well!"

"Pleased to meet you!" Watt, Kooper and Bombette said. "We've been happy to help Jimmy."

"It's wonderful that you have so many nice friends." Merluun said cheerfully. "Would you like me to tell you about the Drakonites? I'll start with their place in the world. They lived and still live in the sky islands known as Jeil and Gharia. They have amazing powers and they frequently live among normal people assuming the forms of humans or Toads. They've made sure that the world doesn't get threatened by evil."

"What about Bowser?" Jimmy asked.

"He's small potatoes compared with the threats that have been covering the world. They've been relatively quiet for the past century since there's no serious evil but we've seen a few still around." Merluun said knowingly. "We lived here tending to their ways, studying them and their personas."

"That's kind of cool!" Kooper commented. "They still exist! Mr. Kolorado will like to hear this!"

"They have a lot of interesting quirks about them..." Rogon said knowingly and sipped his tea.

"Of course they do. It's not like they're archaic. Now I'm going to tell you about their customs, Jimmy. In order to become a true Drakonian, you must pass some tests. One is the test of strength and endurance, the other is the test of the mind and the soul. I don't know much about the tests as I've never actually witnessed a becoming. There's a shrine on this island where you could go to prove yourself but it's deep in the Wisp Woods." Merluun said sagely but then smiled. "You're not a boy anymore so you should go and try to prove yourself."

"I'm 15." Jimmy said.

"You're...ALMOST a man..." Rogon commented unemotionally.

"My my...you're already 15, it wasn't long since ago when you just a little tike." Merluun commented warmly. "Now that I've told you the serious stuff, let's get to the lighter side of the Drakonians."

"Lighter side?" Jimmy asked.

"Right..." Merluun grinned. "Although they look like angels, they don't necessarily act like them. I've had an encounter with a Drakonian female and...well let's just leave it at that. They can and usually are quite salacious."

"Stop using big words!" Lakilester complained shaking his head with his hands. "My head hurts!"

"Fine!" Merluun snapped, annoyed and took in a huge breath and said LOUDLY. "They're gennerally light hearted and care free! They also imprudent, wild and passionate!"

Bow looked around and smiled. "They're partiers..."

"They love to party!" Merluun nodded. "And they're very...friendly..."

Jimmy had his hands covering his face. "That's a bit more than I wanted to know."

"But you should be happy! You're future is gonna be bright and full of fun!" Rogon commented in his oh so apparent way.

"Wow!" Lakilester commented. "I gotta find me one of those!"

"Shut up!" Bow snapped. "You've already got a girlfriend!"

"Bow!" Jimmy commanded. "Please don't be so mean!"

"You probably think that's a little...lewd? Well, I'll give you a couple of years and if you don't become more open minded, I'll give you 1000000 coins for proving me wrong! Well, I'm gonna let you go now..." Merluun said as he opened the door. "I've got an appointment so you'd better run along..." Merluun said back to them. "Go away! I have a meeting with a lovely sorceress and she needs to talk to me about something important!"

"We're gone..." They said as she went out the door.

They all sat down in the grass and Rogon prepared to leave. "Well I'll see you guys later... Here's a badge I have doubles of." Rogon gave Jimmy a badge that looked like a heart with a green swirl around it. "It's the Provoke badge! It can confuse and enrage your enemies...how? I won't say yet. Well...if you're in the neibourhood again. Give me a call." He smiled and jumped off the cliff behind him and leapt into the sea.

"Gotta love his exits..." Bow commented. "We came to see an elder but he was actually a dirty old man!"

"At least I got the info I needed" Jimmy griped. "How unsettling!"

"So let's go into this Wisp Woods and find the temple!" Lakilester said. "I'm getting sick of just running or flying around talking to weird old guys! Let's go find some action!"

Jimmy ran after him and they ran out the gates of town. They walked the grassy path until they found two signs on a fork in the road. "The Wisp woods is this way." Jimmy read. "Well, shall we go?" They walked the path until they made it to the entrance of the Wisp Woods. "Let's go on in!" They walked down the wooded path and saw that this forest looked a lot the the fairyed up Forever Forest from before. There was beautiful foliage everywhere and they came up and saw some sort of creatures ahead of them.

"Well I think we should keep going." Goombario said.

"Not me! I wanna take a rest!" Lakilester complained. "I'm sick of being around you." He raised his arms and there was a bright flash. He turned himself into a badge.

"I'm gonna take a little break myself." Bow said. "My hair is a mess." She also transformed into her badge.

"She doesn't have hair..." Jimmy picked him them up and asked the others. "Who wants to come out!"

"I do!" Kooper said and he jumped out of his badge. "Let's go!"

"Me too." Bombette said and she jumped out of her badge form. "Count on me!"

"Do either of you guys want to take a break?" Jimmy asked Goombario and Parakarry.

They stared at one another and glared a little. They both turned to him and shook their heads. "No!"

"Okay! I like you guys anyway..." Jimmy smiled. "Let's continue!" They continued to walk down the path and they saw what looked like a bunch of walking flowers sitting and talking among themselves. "What are those?"

"Crazee Dazees!" Goombario shouted with worry. "Watch out! They may look cute but they'll attack us with song!"

They all stopped talking and smiled at them. They looked at Goombario and in response to what he said. They smiled wider and nodded. They began to sing a lovely song that was bouncing and joyous. Jimmy smiled and took out his pan flute and managed to copy their song. They stopped singing and one of them approached. "You play the pan flute well. We have no inclination to attack someone who can be so musical."

"Thank you! You little ones sing really really well! It's better than any instrument." Jimmy complimented back and it caused them to blush.

"How sweet of you to say that!" The Crazee Dazees chirped warmly. "What is a sweet, young mage doing in the forest?"

"I want to go to this Drakonian shrine to prove my worth in their eyes. I'm a Drakonian but I have to do these tests to prove it." Jimmy said. "Can you please help us out."

"Sure!" The Crazee Dazees all said. They began walking with him down the path.

"That was amazing! How did you know?" Parakarry asked.

"I just had a hunch. You can't solve all disputes with fighting..." Jimmy replied, smiling.

"Yummy!" A giant spider with a green and black body lunged down on his web string and ate a Crazee Dazee right in front of them. The Crazee Dazee screamed and was nothing left but a mix of sap and pettles. "Ugh! Roughage! Where do you go to get some GOOD food around here?!"

All of the Crazee Dazees ran for their lives. "Run!! It's Critt Ur!"

"Critt Ur!" Jimmy jumped back and took out a couple of attack badges. "Fire Orb!" He summoned a blast of flame that toasted Critt Ur a little. "Goombario! What can you tell me about him?"

"That's Critt Ur...he's a spider of course so he should be weak against fire or ice. Use fire! If you can, you could also squish 'em." Goombario said and then jumped into Critt Ur and slammed him back.

Parakarry and Kooper combined shell attacks and it knocked Critt Ur into the sand. Bombette lit herself and Jimmy chucked her into the colossal bug but Critt Ur ducked out of the way. He took in a huge breath and launched a whole mess of sticky thread that tangled all of them up but Parakarry and Jimmy. Critt Ur's fangs started to drip. "Yummy yummy...A bran muffin... a jawbreaker and turtle soup!"

Parakarry and Jimmy watched in horror as the spider moved in closer. Parakarry then nodded and turned to Jimmy. "Take my hands! I'll lift you over that bug!"

Jimmy nodded and took Parakarry by the hands. Parakarry lifted him up over the spider. Jimmy then jumped down on the spider feet first. He crashed down and Critt Ur got grounded. "Arrgh!!!" He jumped back up with Jimmy still on him. The spider violently jumped around bucking and trying to throw Jimmy off of him. "GET OFF!!!"

"Yee Haw!" Jimmy yelled, riding him like a cowboy. He was riding fine until Critt Ur managed to throw him off. Infuriated, the spider started to chase him and Jimmy ran to a tree. He jumped aside as the spider rammed into the trunk, knocking the tree over. Jimmy ran over to the others and took out the dizzy attack badge. "Dizzy attack!" He jumped up to the spider and he began whirling around him, causing multiple light speed jabbings at the spider. Critt Ur screeched in pain and Jimmy ended it with a power jump. He jumped up and stomped the spider and it collapsed, defeated. "Thatz the battle."

"Awesome!" Goombario complimented. "You beat Critt Ur!"

"With my help!" Parakarry added delicately. "Well, once again I've proved myself."

"I gave the inspection and the weakness!" Goombario protested.

"Do I have to separate you two?" Jimmy groaned as he cut them loose of their spider thread mess. He got up and looked ahead. "Oh...my!"

They gazed after him and found the stairs to a huge shrine like temple. The temple looked weathered and it was covered in vines. Goombario walked up to the beginning of the steps. "Well, let's take a look!"

"And let's get this over with..." Jimmy mumbled as they went up the stairs. They looked everything over and Jimmy suddenly closed his eyes and breathed deeply. "Oh..."

"What's up?" Bombette asked.

"They...they're calling me..." Jimmy breathed and then he started talking to someone that didn't seem to be there. "What's that? You're happy to see me here? But there's something troubling you...I don't...quite get what you're saying..." He opened his eyes and turned to them. "Let's go inside. I feel that they're calling me in there."

"Be careful Jimmy..." Goombario warned solemnly. "You don't know what's calling you."

"We'll be okay so long as we stay together..." Jimmy replied, his voice soft and almost preoccupied.

They walked into the temple and found many statues of Drakonians within. Jimmy walked up to one and laid a hand on it. "They're beautiful... I wonder if I'll look like this someday..."

"You look fine right now..." Goombario commented but then blinked. "Um I mean well, you don't need wings and those clothes..."

"Let's go deeper into the temple." Bombette said. "It's really fascinating..."

They walked through the doorway into the next room and suddenly saw themselves in a room full of mirrors. Kooper looked at himself in the mirror and frowned. "Man, I look terrible..."

"These mirrors make me feel uneasy..." Bombette said. "I remember the ice palace in the Shiver District."

"Oh right!!" Kooper exclaimed. "What if these things aren't mirrors and these aren't our reflections?"

Parakarry walked up to a reflection and moved his body somewhat. After a couple of minutes he just turned and shrugged. "I think these are just regular mirror images."

"Even the floor and ceiling have mirrors on them..." Jimmy breathed in wonder. "Let's try and find our way through the mirrors." Jimmy held his arms out and walked into some glass walls. "Some of the mirrored panes are glass, so there might be some sort of doppleganger around. They managed to thumb their way through the mirrored room and suddenly Bombette was jumped by two clones.

"What in the..." All Bombettes cried as they all piled on top of her. They mucked around and emerged in front of Jimmy.

"I'm the real bombette! ^.~ " Bombette 1 said. "You can go ahead and stomp the others! ^_^ "

"No!! She's lying!!!" Bombette 2 protested. "I'm the real Bombette!!!"

"Those other two are the phonies. I'm the real one." Bombette 3 said.

"Oh no! It IS just like the Ice palace!" Goombario griped. "One is the real one and the other two are duplighosts."

"Ha! Question!" Jimmy asked after Kooper whispered something in his ear. "How about answering this. How much of my money did you lose at the casino in Shy Guy's Toy Box?"

"Um...I can't really remember. Sorry! o_O " Bombette 1 recalled.

"I won, remember!!?" Bombette 2 said.

"I didn't play with your money. I gambled with a single coin I found on the ground." Bombette 3 said.

"Bombette 3 is my bombette." Jimmy nodded and smiled proudly.

Suddenly the two other Bombettes burst into a puff of smoke, revealing Duplighosts. "Good work. You may pass." They vanished and suddenly the wall gained a crack.

Jimmy wound Bombette up and she marched into the wall and blew it down. She sighed and said. "Can't beat the real me."

They walked down the stairs and soon, they were deep within the temple. Jimmy finally walked to a chamber where a stone wall slammed behind them. Suddenly a large trap door opened under Jimmy and everyone, causing them to fall beneath the ground. Jimmy however didn't fall. Perplexed, he looked around and gasped when the room filled up with Koopers, Bombettes, Goombario's and Parakarry's were flying about the ceiling. "How do I tell which one's the real one?"

"You must do this one on your own." A voice said from beyond.

Jimmy looked around and had to stand a chorus of people saying. "I'm the real one!" Jimmy then moved to the center of the room and called. "This is a trick question. My real friends never surfaced!"

"Correct!"

They all vanished and his friends appeared around him. Jimmy took a long look at them and glared. "These are fakes too!"

"Ah! Splendid!"

They turned into Duplighosts and vanished and Jimmy's real friends walked in through a secret passage in the walls. Jimmy and they looked on as a pedestal arose from the floor and with a white flash, a Drakonite appeared. She had her wings and she was dressed in white and gold ceremonial robes. She had a usual beautiful venus like figure and he had long blond hair. He also only appeared a couple of years older than Jeremy. "So you've come..."

"My name is Jimmy and I've come here to be tested on the rights of becoming a true Drakonian." Jimmy called to him.

"Really..." The Drakonian smiled playfully and she flew up to him, and got in really close. "My name is Esmeralda but you can call me whatever you want. You are quite handsome you know...you don't have a tear on your cheek yet..."

"What's with that tear anyway?" Jimmy asked. "Is it some sort of charm?"

"No, silly. The tear is a Draconian marking and it symbolizes that I've lost my innocence." Esmeralda smiled naughtily. "You want one too? I can help you with that..."

"Quit it!" Goombario asked. "You don't have any right..."

"I can do whatever I want and have whoever I want." Esmeralda smiled. "I think this gentleman here can speak for himself.

Jimmy frowned and stared angrily at Esmeralda who flew back up. "You're beautiful...but..."

"They may be pretty but they sure aren't modest!" Kooper commented frankly. "In addition to being..."

"Scandalous?" Esmeralda finished. "It's okay, it's just the way we are and no one we come in contact with seems to mind... Still we must begin the test."

Everyone looked at Jimmy and Jimmy stared hard at Esmeralda. "...Well... shall we go?"
