Double Edged Sword

    We open this episode to the morning after capturing the Thunder card. Sakura is a bit depressed about what Li said to her about how she's no good at capturing cards. Li sees her again and he once again stares at her. Sakura's creeped out and Madison points it out. We go to the class room where they talk some more and Li stares at her again and she talks a bit about his robes. He gets hostile, "Those are the Li family cerimonial robes. You have no right to talk about them." (Li Family? isn't his last name Showron?) Zack comes up and tells him about the duties the new person has to do. Li is escorted away and Sakura is now happy.

    Rita also walks in, and she sits down. Sakura falls asleep in class again and is awakened by Terrada to see that class is over. He tells about the spelling test that's tomorrow. "Rita, you need to pass this one." Sakura and Madison want to help Rita so they invite her over to Sakura's house to study. Before they do though, they decide to buy brooches (or broaches, I can't remember which spelling! x_x )

    They go to some jewelery store to buy some brooches and they find some that they like. Sakura bought a heart with wings, Madison bought a cross like brooch and Rita buys...the sword? "Rita! I didn't know you were the sword type?"

    They walk home and Sakura tells Kero it keep it down. They begin studying and snacking when they decide to put their brooches on. Rita puts hers on and she goes silent. Madison and Sakura become worried and Rita looks up, all the light gone out of her eyes. Rita stands and her brooch transforms into a sword. Rita begins attacking Sakura with it and she has to avoid getting skewered. Kero comes down the stairs and looks around smelling pudding. Madison tells Kero that Rita is attacking Sakura with a sword.

    Sakura makes it outside, and Kero tells her that Rita is being controlled by the Sword card. Sakura summons her wand and uses the jump card to keep out of Rita's reach. Sakura doesn't know what to do, she doesn't want to hurt Rita but Rita is being controlled. Li saves Sakura with his sword and tells her. "I'll stop her." Sakura doesn't want him to and they fight. Kero then brakes it up and tells Sakura that if they can get the sword away from her somehow, then Sakura could capture it without hurting Rita. Sakura uses the Illusion card and it shows what Rita fears the most, her teacher Mr Terrada. (Why would Rita be afraid of HIM?) Rita falls into a stare which enabled Sakura at the sword.

    Rita fainted and Sword flew up in the air. Sakura captures it and Li denouces her ability again. Kero bites him, ( : and Julian walks up. Kero ducks out of sight and they all stare at one another. Li makes a mad dash out of there and Rita is carried into the house.

    The next day, Rita is reading a book and Sakura comes up to her. Rita asks if her brooch turned up and Sakura says no. Sakura then offers her brooch that she bought as a gift to her. (A pretty decent thing to do.)

    Tory finds out that the kid who picked on Sakura the other day came to her house. He's pretty mad and wants a piece of Li. Li appears and they confront. Sakura runs up to where she's supposed to meets Julian and Tori and finds Li there. She glares at him but gives Julian some chocolates. Li is in disbelief. "You reward HIM even after I..." He runs off and Madison walks up and tells Sakura that's she's going to modify her website with some videos. "They're of you capturing the thunder card...just kidding." and they both run off.

This episode wasn't special. I  also know lot cut from it. I know that Rita likes Mr. Terrada and that Li "likes" Julian so there was a lot patched up. I'd think that this episode goes into Sakura's relationships more in depth but they chopped some of that out huh? The sword card itself wasn't hard to catch or had any really special powers too so this episode might be classified as a filler.
