Madison brought her photo album with her to school today and Sakura looks at it. She sees all the shots with Li also have Meilin in them and she comments that she's practically his shadow. Meilin walked in and slumped to her desk, kind of sad. Sakura asks her if she wants to see the photo album and she doesn't answer and Sakura baits it more by saying that there are some really good shots of you but Meilin still doesn't reply, only got more sad.

    It was recess time and Meilin sadly explains to Sakura that she has to go back home to Hong Kong because her grandmother is ill and the family needs her there. Meilin saw Li coming up to her and telling her that it's not a big deal and tells her that him and Sakura will be fine capturing all of the clow cards. Meilin thought she was helping him capture the clow cards but Li (Pretty much slips out) tells that she sometimes gets in the way. Meilin's floored and runs off, trying not to let them see her cry. Sakura pretty much comments "Way to go, Mr. Tactful!" and Li told her to stay out of it. Li and Meilin don't much talk after that and Sakura makes a snap judgment to invite Meilin to a sleep over and promised pizza. Meilin accepts and Sakura wondered why she did that and Li did too. Sakura then tells him that she's at least making an effort and calls him "Mr. You're in the way"

    Early in the evening, there was a couple of smiling kids running around. They were glowing and looked exactly alike and looked at the street map and the area glowed around them. They continued to play and made more things glow

    That night, Meilin was invited and they were talking in their beds. Meilin asks about Kero and Sakura tells her that Kero is at Madison's watching movies. Meilin then tells her story about how her family and Li's were very close and she talks about her past and go into flashback. In the dojo and as young kids of...about six or seven, they were training hard in martial arts and Meilin smiles at Wei, her teacher and he gets her with a target. She's embarrassed but shrugs it off and it was Li's turn. Meilin commented that Li never talked much and was better at martial arts than her. Meilin thought that if she would train hard, then she could become a magician too but knew that she couldn't do magic. Li never talked to her and she told that she didn't like him very much in the beginning because she found him rude and arrogant. She only liked Li one day when her bird flew away when she went to feed it and she was crying. Li told her not to cry and gave her a tissue. He ran off into the country. He never came back for hours until it started to rain. Li came running back and what did he have in his hands but Meilin's bird! Meilin hugged him, almost crushing her bird. The flashback ended when Meilin said that: "I knew that Li had a big heart...of course he didn't talk to me for a month but..." Meilin now thinks Li's right about her being in the way and Sakura tries to convince her that she's wrong by telling her how cool she was with the Fight Card and Cloud Card and they go into flashback on that. (Not going into it.)

    Kero calls Sakura on the phone and tells her that there's a clow card on the loose. Sakura rushes out the door and Meilin stays on the doorstep. Sakura won't let that happen and takes Meilin by the hand and jerks her to the Clow card saying that as long as you're here, we're a team. So she takes Meilin to the Museum where they saw the card last. Li is there, already fighting the card which was the Twin Card. They all found that the twins have cloned the entire town and Wei and his Clone pop out of the window and call "Are you all right, Master Showron?" Sakura tries first to bind the Twin cards with the Windy card but only snags one of them. She attempted to seal one but it didn't work. Kero tells Sakura that she needs to seal them both at once and Li signals to her to use lightning and he uses his signature move and Sakura uses the thunder Card to attack them. It also didn't work. Kero tells them both that you can't send signals. So Li and Meilin face off against the twins thanks to Sakura's idea that they can sense each other's moves without signaling. Li and Meilin did their moves at the same time and attacked the Twin card until they subdued them to capturing points. Sakura seals the Twin card and Li tells Meilin that she really wasn't in the way and Meilin becomes happy!

    The next day was the plane trip home. Meilin was driven to the airport and she finds out it was just a visit after all so she can return. Meilin waves good bye to them as she goes out of their sight. Will Meilin return? I sure hope so!

At first I thought Meilin was a brat who always got in the way. Thanks to this character building episode on her, I don't think so anymore! It was an excellent episode that had Action, Character Building and information on the Li and Rae family! I actually think this is one of my favorite episodes!
