A Strange Intermission

The episode opens at the school. The class was getting ready for the presentation. Sakura does up the bow for Rita's costume and Rita thanks her. The play was the first act on the program and Nikki and Chelsea were worried that they would forget their lines. They all saw Madison enter with Sakura and Li's costume. She drags them into the changing room.

Julian and Tori walk in and talk about how Aiden couldn't make it because of his work. Julian found out that Sakura's play was the first one.

Back in the back room, Sakura stepped out of the changing room, dressed as a handsome prince. They all find her costume awesome including Miss Mackenzie, who tells her that it would allow her to move around and that it would help her for whatever happens which makes Sakura wonder. Li comes out dressed in a wonderful, sequined pink dress with a curly yellow wig. Everyone thought it was awesome too exept for Li who makes it plain as day that he hated being a princess. Madison then tells her that it's too late to complain.

Madison goes to the sound tower for she is the narrator. Kero is there with her because it's out of sight. The opening began with Madison starting up the play. Once upon a time in a far away land there was a king and queen who's lives were complete once their little baby princess was born. The queen told everyone in the land that everyone must give the princess a present. Tori comments "Hey! Doesn't that queen look like a boy?" It is a boy, for it's Zachary.

During the presentation, three fairies appear, (Chelsea, Nikki and Rita) The first two fairies give her beauty and a beautiful voice. Suddenly the evil witch appears. (Meilin of course) and she gives another gift. "I too have a gift for the princess, she will be loved by all and spend her days happily but on her 16th birthday, she'll prick her finger on a spinning wheel...and SHE WILL DIE!!!" Laughing, she disappeared into the darkness and the queen started to cry, saying that the witch casted a spell on the princess. The third fairy gave her gift which was that she'd ease the curse by not letting the princess die but fall into a deep sleep and the spell could be broken if she is kissed by a handsome prince.

Madison and Kero talked during the scene change and Kero commented on how good it was and that everyone remembered their lines and the girl was perfectly cast as the wicked witch. Madison told about how all the spinning wheels be burned and the time passed and the baby grew into a beutiful princess. (Cough!) The queen called her into the chamber and told her to be prepared for the ceremony. The princess told her reaction (Sounded as though it was forced.) Kero fell onto the ground at that.

The next scene began with the princess going to her room and seeing a spinning wheel there. She touches it (Whoa! Trips on her dress!) and pricks her finger and the Queen runs in, certain that she has died. The fairies appeared and told her that she is not dead but sleeps. Everyone claps and Sakura finds that her part in the story was approaching. Sakura walked onto the stage after Madison narrated. Tori looked and gasped. Julian replied that "You didn't tell me she was playing the prince!" The prince was confronted by the fairies and he draws his sword, preparing to fight but the fairies just tell her that they've been waiting and that there's a princess in here that's cursed. The prince vows to release the curse and goes into the castle.

The wicked witch confronted him and summoned her minions to capture her. In a gymnastic display, he slays them all. Tori comments on it, surprised and the Prince stabs the wicked witch. The wicked witch died in a big display and the Prince goes to the Princess, who was resting on her bed. Sakura says her lines and tries to kiss Li when he suddenly senses something. Kero also picks up on it. It was too late, the darkness covered everything and in Li's last words, he tells that it was a clow card and Sakura's left alone.

Sakura runs around, noticing she doesn't hit anything and gets scared and cries. Kero tells her to hang on and Sakura gets a hold of herself and figures out that it's the dark card. The surroundings change and She wonders why she can see her hand and suddenly she was starting to lose herself in the darkness. Kero tells that if she doesn't figure something else out soon, then she would become lost. Sakura tells herself to trust in her abilities when she begins to glow. The Light card was inside of her and appears in front of her. Light tells that she was inside of Sakura when she first opened the clow book. Light tells a riddle and Sakura answers it right and Dark also appears in front of her. Light tells that Dark is also a part of her and that Sakura should seal them together. She does and they tell that her final judgement will come from Yue and that they support her.

Sakura found herself on the Princess Li's bed when she shouts "I did it!" Madison comments that it wasn't her line and Kero tells her that she sealed a card. Madison ponders how she could have missed that and Kero suddenly glows, feeling the presence of Yue "The moon...I can feel it. Yue, soon you and I will meet again." Mackenzie looked in his direction and smiled warmly. "That's right, Keroberos...very...soon..."

Todd's thoughts

Todd Arcana's Rating:    4.5 / 5.0  ^_~

That was a great episode, very informative and it had some really funny spots in it. The whole episode was extremely interesting...suprisingly, the clow card's appearence was the least interesting point in the story for me. I loved Meilin's part in the story! She was so good and had that witch laugh going on! What do you think?
