Miss Mackenzie opens the episode by introducing the discussion for the annual Reidington Arts fesetival. Sakura and Meilin talk about it and Meilin tells that her school also did an arts festival. Miss Mackenzie tells that would be a fairy tale. Sakura thinks about the situation and about the dream card telling Sakura about things to come and she thought about Miss Mackenzie in her dreams. Sakura tells that Miss Mackenzie made her feel safe but she wondered why she is in her dreams.
Miss Mackenzie
wrote it on the board and the play was Sleeping Beauty. (The writing looks
digitally altered, it was probably altered from japanese.) Everyone gets
excited because the play involved a kiss. Miss Mackenzie went on about
how she wants everyone to have a fair shot at it so she uses lots to draw
who plays what. Everyone placed their names at the bottom and the parts
were hidden at the tops. Sakura wondered who was going to play the prince
and Li goes to sign up when he becomes unsettled from Miss Mackenzie. She
tells him not to always be cautious and, "It won't be long now." Li fills
out his name, creeped out and joins Meilin on the way back. It ends up
that Sakura plays the prince and Li plays the princess. (It's funny now
but it gets really funny later.)
Kero asks Sakura
about who plays what at home and she tells about how she has to play the
prince and Li was the princess and that Mackenzie thought everyone should
have a shot at all the roles. They go on to talk about Miss Mackenzie and
Kero then tells that Li is even sensing her so he should come along to
the play in case something happens.
Sakura practices
her lines at school and finds Li sitting in a tree practicing her princess
lines. (Good voice!) Sakura talks about how these lines will be hard to
memorize and they talk about Mackenzie. They talk about how she must really
have creeped Li out and that they have to go back to class. On the way,
Sakura thinks about it and asks Li to study lines together. Li gruffly
replied. "When?" He reluctantly agrees to it and they made the appointment
tomorrow morning before School. As they walked off, Miss Mackenzie watched
them from within the school.
The next morning,
Sakura gets gently awakened by three alarm clocks. Kero wakes up and asks
what time it is and also asked about the alarm clocks. Sakura tells that
she had all these alarm clocks from her dad and Tori so she wouldn't stay
asleep. She then tells that it's important and, "You never know who will
be in the audience." (Whoa, what an awful line...)
Tori treats Sakura to a nice
breakfast and gets a chance to talk to her about when she had a fever.
They then go into flashback from "Under the weather" and the flashback
told about Sakura's mirror clone. When it was over, Tori told her to be
careful. Sakura is wondering on the way to school if Tori knew about the
clow cards and thought at the end. "Yeah right, if he knew, then he would
be teasing me non stop!"
Sakura comes across the garden and thinks about Miss Mackenzie and skates away, being followed by a strange force. Sakura finds Li at his locker and he's surprised she was able to be up and they decide to study outside. On the way, Li almost notices the force that followed Sakura. They go outside and we sample Li pricking his finger on the golden spinning wheel (A leaf in reality) and falls flat. He memorized the whole scene! They skip it to the part where the prince finds her in the castle. Sakura and Li were about to kiss (as part of the play) when they get attacked by sand.
Li rescues her with an element Wind ofuda and they fly to safety. They see the sand whirlpool become more and more big. Sand then flies up to hit them and Li falls into the sand whirl. Li emerges and tells Sakura to stay there and use the water card. Sakura uses water to muck up the sand and Li uses the Freeze card to freeze the sand with the water. Sakura seals it and it flies to both of them. Sakura takes it but gives it to Li telling him that he deserved it and that he did give her the Cloud card. Li tells her that they are supposed to be competing for the clow cards but he accepts it saying "Now we're even."
Sakura tells
Li that she was happy that the clow card attacked before school and he
wondered if that was a coincidence or if the card waited until they were
alone but he dismissed his idea that he might be "Reading too much into
it." They walk into school, being watched by Miss Mackenzie. She then smiled
and said again. "...It won't be long now." She was holding the bell, with
the symbol that burned in our minds.
Now for my part.

That was such a stupid title! Don't you agree that the title has nothing at all to do with the story. Anyway, I liked the episode because there was plenty of action to keep me interested and there was content as well. This story was not about the clow card but about the play which makes me happy enough. The best part is that this episode is pretty much a two parter and the next part was played too, to not keep me hanging!
