Under The Weather

Sakura groans and stirs and Natasha's ghost appears to comfort her but she doesn't feel her hand (Nice to see that Natasha still cares after death!). There was a storm at the time and Kero wakes her up for school. Kero finds that Sakura doesn't have the usual energy and deliberates that she's sick. Sakura has a presentation to do, so she feels she can't stay home.

In class, everyone quickly finds that she's obviously under the weather. The times are tense and Sakura's senses get lost somewhat. Miss Mackenzie picks up on it and Sakura groans some more. Mackenzie asks that Madison take her to the office. Madison tells Sakura that she'd better wait for Tori to pick her up but Sakura tries to convince her that she's fine but she obviously isn't. Tori takes her home in the rain. (He's seventeen, why can't he drive?)

Kero tries to comfort her but Tori barges in, and Kero was unprepared for it. Tori takes her temperature and tells her that she needs to eat and then he'll give her meds. Kero tells her that he thinks Tori is getting wise to him and she's too busy being sick to replie.

Outside, it's still pouring and a strange cloud appears in the Sky. Sakura senses it's a clow card and attempts to get out of bed. Kero tells her that she shouldn't come out but she doesn't listen. Sakura still wants to go but Kero insists that she needs to stay inside to at least eat. Sakura instead summons the sealing wand and uses the Mirror card to project her image to attempt to fool Tori.

Outside, Kero asks her how she's feeling and she says that she's good enough to do this. Meanwhile, her clone tends to Tori for food. Sakura tries to fly to the cloud but she doesn't have the energy to fly. Li uses the power of an ofuda to save her and Meilin is there too. Li tells her that she SHOULD NOT be out and calls her a fool.

Back at the house, Tori serves Sakura's clone dinner and she eats it, but Tori refuses to give her her meds and tells that she is NOT Sakura (He knows about the clow cards?!?). Then they go into flashback with the Mirror card. (I'm not gonna go into it, I covered it in "Double Take...but wow! It's a long flashback! Like 3 or 4 minutes!) The clone agrees with Tori that she's not the real deal and he tells the clone that he is onto Sakura doing something odd and that he can see into the spirit world.

Back on the battle field, Li attempts to cut through the cloud magic and attacks with a fire ofuda. The Cloud card pokes up from the clouds and Sakura mistakes it for the Rain card. Kero corrects her and Sakura attempts to seal it and stumbles but Meilin catches her! Meilin assures her and Sakura managed to seal it. The card flew to Li but Li gives it to Sakura. Everyone questions it but Li tells that he thinks she should have it.

Sakura returns home and greets the mirror card and the mirror card tells that she's happy seeing Tori again. So Mirror returns to the clow card form and flies into the Desk. Kero flies outside and tells that maybe he should stay with her and the Li kid. Meilin objects to the idea. (Like she wouldn't...)

Tori takes Sakura's temp again and its 102, nope, she's not well. Tori tells that she shouldn't push herself too hard, this is what happens...Just as he goes to call a doctor, Angel Natasha appears again and comforts Sakura by lowering the fever. Sakura sees the hand this time and sees her mother. Her mother talks to Tori and Sakura before returning to heaven. Tori smiles, happy to see his and Sakura's mother again.

Sakura is much better the following morning and her father, Aiden comments about it (Where were YOU yesterday in Sakura's day of need??). Tori asks to make Sakura dinner and Sakura thanks mom for helping her. Tori asks why she did (Oh like he doesn't know...)

This Rating of Mine

Todd Arcana's Rating: 4.1 / 5.0  ^_^

This episode was a pretty good episode. It had action, information AND the development of some characters like Tori and Meilin. It showed more on Tori's knowledge of the spirits around him and it showed Meilin actually caring for Sakura when she needed her! The only thing that kept this episode back was the cuts...I don't know about them but it seemed pretty obvious because of that huge flashback from "Double Take."
