Allies

We open this episode at Reidenton Aquarium where Sakura and her class are looking at the fishes. Sakura looks at the puffer and makes a puffy face, look at the resemblance. Chelsea runs up to them to tell that the penguin show is about to start.

The show was great, the penquin did some tricks and bowed. Both the trainer and the penguin get caught in a whirpool that tries to suck them both into the bottom of the pool. Tori walks in at that and notices what's going on and jumps into the water. He pries the whirlpool open, allowing the penguin and the trainer to go free.

After school, Sakura is at home making pancakes for a snack or something when Kero complains from impatience. Sakura tells him to be quiet and listen and she states the case about the penquin and the trainer being trapped by whirlwater. She goes on to say that they think the drain plug came out and then mumbles something about the water level not changing and then Kero begs for the pancakes and Sakura gives him some. She mumbles other stuff about the water but Kero really doesn't care. Tori walks in and Sakura hides him and chucks him upstairs. She congradulates Tori and asks him about the job but he shrugs her off and eats her pancakes.

Annoyed, Sakura runs to her room and talks to Kero some more. Kero's mad about the pancakes but Sakura apologizes. Kero thought about it and he told how the drain hasn't the power to suck them both into the water so he believes it is something...else. The water card. Kero then goes on about how the water card is an element card and it's powerful and agressive and stuff like that. The important thing here is that Sakura can only use two cards in unison to capture the Water Card.

Sakura then thinks about her other cards that she caught. We go into flashback on each the Windy, the Fly and the Shadow. (I'm not going into it! The flashbacks are probably used to replace footage they cut out.)

We then forward to School next day. It's lunch and Sakura is lost in thought of which cards to use. Madison walks up to her and says that the answer will come to her. Sakura is still unsure. On the walk home, Madison give's Sakura a cell phone. (What a gift! WOW!!) Madison says she got them free but who knows. Sakura couldn't get any advice from Kero when she got home so she's on her own.

Sakura decided to go to the Aquarium to find an answer and meet Watery. When she got there, Sakura was invited to an icecream by Julian and they go in. Madison and Kero soon follow (And no one notices Kero?) Madison keeps Kero quiet by treating him to some icecream after. From within, we see Tori working as a waiter. A swirl appeared from within the tank and a crack was formed. Now the Aquarium was filling with rushing water and Sakura was caught in it. Kero and Madison see this but are too far away to do anything. From underwater, Sakura sees a whirl covering her leg and try to remove it. Julian is safe so she takes an axe and chops the door down, allowing water to flow into the room inside (Hope no one was in there!) The whirl covering Sakura's leg dispersed and flowed away and Sakura was rescued by Tori. Tori's a hero once again! Julian said this as they were talking. "There's nothing like a swim to cool you off."

Sakura comes back to the aquarium after hours and runs in wearing a court jester like getup which looks silly but neat. She challenges Water and it comes out. Sakura uses the FLY card to escape Watery's wrath. She tells Madison on the way to go to the basement where the freezer is.

Sakura rides her wand and lures Watery to the freezer and summons windy to keep her there and turn the freezer on. Sakura runs out and the door gets closed. Sakura fell to her knees and Kero commends her for passing the test. Madison commends her too and then tells her "It's got to be time now!" Sakura walks into the freezer to see a frozen water card. Sakura seals it and Kero preposes they all go out for icecream with a triple sundae for Sakura.

KERO'S CORNER

Kero opens with his usual cheer and he talks about Sakura's courtjester like battle costume made from water proof material. Then kero wraps it up and ends another episode.

Now for my two cents for this episode.

Todd Arcana's Rating:    3.9 / 5.0   ^.^

This episode is one in which I think a lot was cut. Origionally it was Called "Sakura's Heart Throbbing First Date" and it may have focused instead on her date with Julian. We as North Americans don't approve of the idea of a 10 year old going out with a 17 year old but we must learn not to use our own judgement style when we look at material from people with differant ideals than our own. That is why I believe that the flashbacks of the last three cards were done, a lot was cut out so there needed to be fillers. (It's why there's the "Clow card revealed" part of card captors also.
