Rita is part of Sakura's class and also a regular in Sakura's group whenever they do things like go shopping and on field trips. Rita isn't a major person in the card captor show but she does have a good role in Double Edged Sword when the sword card attached itself to her concious and she mindlessly attacked Sakura until Sakura used the Illusion card to lull her into a state where Sakura could capture the Sword card.
