    Li transfered here from Hong Kong in episode 8, sensing the clow card's auras. He instantly realized that the one who released the clow cards was Sakura. "And You're a cardcaptor? That's pretty pathetic...!"
    Over time, Li accepts Sakura as the Clow Mistress and they become friends as well as battle partners. In the end of it all, Li actually developes a little crush on Sakura which she feels as well but neither have the nerve to tell one another.
    Li's biggest asset is his ability to use magic and it has helped Sakura get out of a jam many a time. He not only has the ability to shoot lightning from his sword but he can summon weak elemental magic through ofudas that he uses with an incantation. Since he helps Sakura sometimes, he gets clow cards as well though they really didn't help much against Yue...
