Madison/Tomoyo: Sakura and Madison are very close in both the Japan and on our shores. Sakura and Madison's Moms are both cousins or something and they're also very close so that makes Sakura and Madison second cousins. Touya however is in fact in love with Sakura but Sakura doesn't know about it or can't read through the lines. Melvana obviously toned them down a notch for our discriminating eyes.
Julian/Yukito: Hoo hoo hoo...wow. Sakura notices Julian in our version but it's only a cute little crush. In the Japanese version, she goes out with him and her crush is deeper.
Li/Syaoran: Yes, Sakura and Li. They're a great couple. In our
version though, it isn't as obvious. Like ours, the Japanese version has
the two captors rivals until the middle of the first season when he eases
off and decides to work WITH Sakura. Meilin was actually a big help in
this and by the end of the second season, Li's heart warms up to her and
they fall in love later.
Sakura Avalon: Just as I said before, Sakura and Madison are
best friends. What they stripped from the Japanese version was the fact
Sakura and Madison were second cousins but if there's no romance them,
there's no point in removing the cousins part...well whatever. Madison
is constantly dressing Sakura in cute outfits and taping her and they're
very close so they just might be in love.
Li Showron/Shaolon Li
Shaolon has some romantically interesting things about him as well, and it's not only about Sakura. In the American version though, it's all been toned down but there's some tiny hints about his feelings.
Sakura Avalon: Her and Shaolon makes a good couple and they fall in love towards the end of the second season. It isn't as obvious in the American version but you can see it whenever Li trips over his words and commends Sakura for good card captures in his usual awkward way.
Meilin/Meiling Li: It's as plain as day that Meilin has a wierd compulsive and possesive love over Li and follows him around anywhere like his shadow. She sees so because she and Li are engaged and are fiancees. What the Japanese version has that the American version doesn't is the fact that he and Meiling are cousins and are part of the arranged marrige which isn't uncommon in China. Another thing is that because Meilin is part of the Li family and still hasn't any magic so their family snubs Meiling often because of that.
Julian/Yukito: Li is also attracted somewhat to Julian and he
gets all blushy and babbling whenever he's near and runs away. It comes
off in the American version as fear and well, that's NO excuse. Anywho,
Li is attracted to Julian because of his power of the moon or so they say.
Rita/Rika
Rika/Mr.Terrada: What we have here is a classic student/teacher
crush which isn't that bad. It wasn't like they were leaping into bed,
it's just a harmless crush. In the American version however, it turns out
that Rita is afraid of Mr. Terrada and it was shown in episode 9 when the
Sword Card took Rita's body.
Julian/Yukito
Sakura: Sakura has a crush on Yukito but Yukito doesn't love her back, he knows that Sakura is too young for a relationship to work, let alone be really wierd. He gently breaks it to her in the third season during the Sakura card series.
Tori/Touya: Yukito and Touya are best friends, friend's so good
that they do everything together. In the Japanese Version, they are attracted
to one another and eventually fall in love in season 3 but they toned it
down quite a bit in the American version to just best friends. When I saw
how they were like together...well...you can't fool me!
Touya/Tori
Julian/Yukito: Just like above, Touya and Julian are a couple and they do everything together like they are best friend only more. Those in Melvana made it so they are best friends and that's not too bad but they still messed with their relationship just as I messed with the Sakura and Li relationship in Card Captor Todd.
Kaho Mizuki/Layla Mackenzie: It isn't until the third season when it really comes out, but Touya and Kaho have a bit of a "thing" together but she moves to england, poor guy...
Zachary/Chelsea
Zachary/Chelsea: I don't know why they even bothered to cut this out...but in the Card Captor Sakura series, they are supposed to be a couple but in the American version, they are cousins. What's wrong with these people being in love? I don't know...
There are a few more relationships in season three but it's yet to be revealed...My info on it is only meager at best.
