Battle Stats

The Runes, as pictured above, are much like the Yin and the Yang. In fact, I noticed both in the picture and in the Intro that there is a faint outline of a Yin Yang behind the two Runes. Comparisons of this are reflected in the characters as well. Here's a guide to Jowy's attack stats, as copied from Prima's Guide to Suikoden II.

Weapon
• Level 1-7: Star Staff (Attack Strength 5-33)
• Level 7-16: Heaven Star Staff (Attack Strength: 33-166)
• Level 16-+:Violence Star Staff (Attack Strength 166-+)

Rune: Black Sword
• Level 1: Flash Judgement (120HP damage to simple enemies)
• Level 2: Twinkling Blade (100HP damage to all enemies, 30% chance of instant death)
• Level 3: Piercing One (700HP damage to simple enemies)
