Webmaster's notes: Much like the MS-06R-1A Zaku High Mobility Type, the Zaku II Commander Type was an improved model of the Zaku II, equipped with a better generator to increase thrust and most often piloted by aces. The Zaku II S type was fitted with a head antenna to show that it was a commander's unit. However, it should not be forgotten that almost any Zeon mobile suit can be fitted with a command spike and this does not necessarily make it an improved model. Many standard Zaku IIs would recieve antennae in addition to the S type. The most famous MS-06S was that used by Char Asnable, the Red Comet. Though Char was sometimes documented at going speeds three times that of a standard Zaku, the S type isn't nearly fast enough to manage such thrust. The speed most likely lies in Char's tendancy to boost off dying enemy ships to gain a large increase in acceleration.
