Rex notes: Towards the end of the Gryps War in UC 0087, Axis made it's appearance in the Earth sphere. Of course, Axis leader Haman Kahn would need a suitable mobile weapon to make herself presentable. The product was the Qubeley, and it blurred the distinct line between mobile suit and mobile armor. Considered to be a descendant of the Principality of Zeon's Elmeth mobile armor, Qubeley used scaled down version of Elmeth's bit weapons- coined fannels (funnels). Though fannels were cheaper than bits, they were weaker and had to be charged. Still, due to Haman's becoming newtype abilities and her fannels, Qubeley would soon see many days in battle during the last of the Gryps War as well as the Neo Zeon world war that would follow.
