And here is the heros lover Marle. She is the one who first travels throught the time warp to 600 A.D. and is mistaken for Leene and alters history thus killing herself. When they find her they think that she is Queen Leene and call off their search for her. Well since the real Leene was captured it changed history since they didnt find her and she was killed. Since Marle is of her royal decent and Leene is her ancestor Marle doesnt exist anymore because she was never born. When you save her of course history goes back to normal and shes back in existance. Did you get all that? So no Marle never really died if your asking yourself how Leene brought Marle back to life. Another thing is about her pendant. When you go to Zeal you know that Marles pendant is supposed to look like Schalas. Now I always hear about how Marle is a distant decendant of Schala and thats not true. I cant think of any possible way that they could be related since Schala was captured (in Chrono Cross) by Lavos instead of killed. Then you learn that Schala finds and marries Serge. This all takes place 20 YEARS LATER. After Marle was killed by Lynx. Even so I think I CAN explain why the pendant is the same. Ok everyone who HAS played the game, do you remember right after Zeal was destroyed and Schala teleported them out of the ocean palace? Ok. Now remember the pendant being on Marle's shoulder? Alright well this is next level stuff so let me try. You see, when things happen in the past it effects the future. So if someone gets an item in the past, it effects the future so if the person comes from the future they have the item right? That's why she has it, i think. Hey its the best explaination I've got. Lets go back to gameplay. Marle has very low attack but she (and Lucca) uses a bow so you should concentrate more on her Hit%. She lacks a little in defense too but her magic is higher than everyones (except maybe Magus) Quote: "At the darkness beyond time, the weakened Schala came under the influence of Lavos, and the two became one entity."
