| Sailor Moon is the story of a typical teenage-girl gone super-hero, and the trials and tribulations to follow. Sailor Moon is the main character (hence the show title "Sailor Moon") and she id the leader of the senshi. She has many idenities, icluding Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon, Sailor Cosmos (future Sailor Moon...it's in the Stars episodes), Princess Serenity, and Neo-Queen Serenity. |

| Over time, Sailor Moon finds four more senshi, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus. Each senshi recieves energy from their respective planet, and each has a different power. |

| Sailor Moon also falls in love with Tuxedo Mask. He plays the roll of gaurdian to the Sailor Senshi, saving Sailor Moon in what seems like every-other episode. |

| Later, more Sailor Senshi are discovered. Sailor Chibi Moon comes from the future, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Saturn are exposed. And then the Sailor Starlights are discovered. |

All the Senshi were sent to Earth from the Moon Kingdom by Queen Serenity, who sacrificed her life saving her daughter the Moon Princess (gee I wonder who that could be!) and her court, back in the Silver Millenium when Queen Beryl attacked the Moon Kingdom. Each senshi was the princess of her respective planet, yet were also members of Princess Serenity's court. All the senshi's powers were hidden only to be awakened if absolutely neccesary.
In the first episode we are introduced to a girl named Tsukino Usagi. She is a ditzy, cry-baby fourteen-year-old girl who gets really bad grades and is late for everything. We see her running to school (because she's late again) and Usagi sees several boys abusing a small animal. She chases the little boys away and checks on the kitty. She notices that the black cat has a band-aid on it's forehead. Usagi removes the band-aid and *drumroll please* the cat has a yellow cresent moon on her forhead!
Later, when Usagi is home from school and about to take a nap instead of doing her homework, the same cat she saved earlier leaps in through her window. She begins to tell Usagi that she is really a champion of justice called Sailor Moon. Well, Usagi thinks she's gone crazy because she's talking to a cat, but then the cat (who introduced herself as Luna) gives Usagi a brooch. Usagi transformes into: The Champion of Justice SAILRO MOON! (What a coincidence.....) Usagi hears her friend Molly's cries for help and goes to fight the evil. The evil turns out to be a creature who is trying to suck energy from people through jewels. Well Sailor Moon arrives at the jewelery store, and she fights the monster. She also meets Tuxedo Mask. The first rescue by Tuxedo Mask!
Jupiter's Note: Ok there is something about this series that really bugs me. Tuxedo Mask ALWAYS has to save Sailor Moon. What, are they trying to portray that a girl can't do anything with out a man? *Scrunches up face* This is my least favorite aspect of this whole series. This is probaly why I hate Tuxedo Mask.
