Name: Sephiroth

Age: Ehh, Hojo might know.

Appearance. Sephiroth has long silver hair that reaches to his lower back. The fringe has two raised areas, and his hair frames his handsome face. His eyes are a piercing turquoise, enhanced by mako to make them seem like they are looking right through you.
Sephiroth wears a unique set of clothing. He has a black clothes, with the collar low to reveal his muscular chest with a pair of straps and a metal disk. His shoulders have white steel shoulder pads, each with three holes in them. Black clothes cover his hands and he has black metal rings on his arms and legs. He wears black leather boots on his feet. The giant weapon Masamune is normally seen at his waist.

Personality: Sephiroth has two personalities. The first is cold, calm and uncaring. Underneath that there is a burning curiosity about his past, because he knows he is different. He is mildly sardonic, and sometimes snipes at people with sarcasm, although it's rare.
The second is put simply, insane. He believes himself to be the true inheritor of the Planet, and that to do this he needs to wipe out human life on it. Later he changes that belief to he must finish Jenova's mission, and destroy the planet.
Both have certain qualities though. Both are brave and terrifying in battle, and both hate Hojo.

Weapon: The Masamune. A giant sword of abnormally long length, only Sephiroth has the combination of strength and dexterity needed to wield it. There are several rumours about the weapons origins, including that it was has the power of the Ancients in it and that it is demon-forged. If Sephiroth knows Masamune's origins he isn't saying.

Materia: Revive (Master), Restore (Master), Earth (Master) linked to All (Master), Fire (Master) on its own, Ice (Master) linked to All (Master) and Lightning (Master) linked to All (Mastered)

Limit Breaks:

Level 1: Peace - Sephiroth leaps forward and slashes an enemy, his Masamune glowing a light blue. Slows the enemy and causes petrify.
Dogma - Sticking Masamune's blade into the ground, then is surrounded by a healing glow that restores him to full health.

Level 2: Heartless Angel - Multi coloured light surrounds an enemy, before zooming in for heavy damage.
Stigma - Hurts then confuses any one it hits, a white orb zooms around randomly hitting people

Level 3: Shadow Flare - The whole area is turned white, and one person is blasted with darkness.
Super Nova - Teleports the target to another dimension, where a Super Nova has just been caused by a rogue comet, before bringing them back. Take an enemy to the verge of death, but never beyond

Level 4: One Winged Angel - Sephiroth becomes the one winged Angel, and unleashes a devastating storm of power upon his enemies

History: Spehiroth was created by the ShinRa to be the ultimate SOLDIER. He was made by the fusion of cells from the Jenova Specimen and a girl named Lucrecia, as well as being infused with mako energy. He was raised by ShinRa, who wiped most of his memories as a child to insure loyalty. Sephiroth was first used in Midgar's war against Wutai. He decimated whole units with his superior materia and Weapons. Even the powerful summon Leviathan was unable to stop him, and Wutai was forced to surrender. Since then he loyally served ShinRa. Until the mission to Nibelheim.
At Nibelheim Sephiroth discovered the truth of his origins. A simple search and destroy mission had turned into a disaster. Sephiroth burnt the town to the ground in a fit of rage. The discovery of how he had been brought into existence drove him insane. He cut down Tifa's father at the Mako Reactor where his mother Jenova was being kept, and since he couldn't take her whole body, removed the head. Then he defeated the SOLDIER who was with him, and tried to leave. But someone else stopped him, and he was thrown into the life stream, almost cut in half by the reactors machinery.
But even with such a terrible wound, Sephiroth refused to die. He floated in the life stream, neither dead nor alive, gathering knowledge about his true purpose. Soon he knew what he had to do: Summon Meteor and cleanse this world. It took him several years to do this, but he sealed his body, or what was left of it, in a great Materia. Then he used his powers to send his spirit into the world. He tricked Cloud and the others into getting him the Black Materia, and was gathering ShinRa's poor attempts to replicate him. He was destroying them at Whirlwind Maze when something he hadn't planned for happened. Hojo was able to capture his remains, and his spirit was pulled back to his body. Now he is trapped at the ShinRa building, waiting for whatever it is Hojo has planned for him to happen.
