Chapter 7

A little sun was able to break through the tightly drawn metal blinds over the windows. Sailor Mercury was still tied to her chair, she didn't know how long it she had been sitting in the dark room. It could have been only a few hours or maybe a couple of days. Sailor Hermes might come and taunt at her, or maybe it would be Sailor Selene. Maybe Sailor Poseidon would come and free her, but she couldn't count on that. 
'Mercury can you hear me?' a voice echoed in the senshi's mind.
"Who's there?!"
'Quiet, use your thoughts to talk to me. It's Sirius, I'm contacting you telepathically.'
'Is there anyway you can get me out of here?'
'We can always surrender and give them the Guardian.'
'Don't! Do we even have the Guardian?'
'What I need you to do distract them while we get ready for a battle at dawn.'
'Battle? How am I supposed to distract them? They haven't checked up on me for hours. Why didn't you answer my question?'
'Well I have to go, Good luck!'
'Sirius! Wait!'
Her friend's presence left her and the dark swallowed her up once more.

Down Town Tokyo...
Serena kept throwing glances at Mina as they walked to the Tomoe Mansion. Mina's face was still pale and her eyes seemed saddened.
"Mina are you sure you are okay?" Serena asked gently.
"Yes, I am Serena."
"Are you sure? You look pale."
"Just leave me alone!" 
Mina ducked into an alley and yelled her henshin phrase.
"Venus Crystal Power! MAKE-UP!"
Sailor Venus jumped out of the alley and onto the rooftops, she was trying to get as far away from the Tomoe Mansion as possible. Serena and Darien watched her, but they made no attempt to catch up with the sad senshi. Venus ran with all of the speed that she could manage and finally stopped at the south side of town and began to cry.
"Why? Why am I alone? Why can I never find love?! Who keeps calling me? Well?! Who is my love?!"
As the words left her mouth, a white form glistened in the departing sun. 
"Please don't cry. Your tears sadden my soul and I just like to see them when you are happy."
"Who said that?!" Venus turned around looking for the owner of the voice. "Aphrodite, I told you I will not join you!"
"Do I sound like a female?" The shadowy figure stepped forward, his cloak flowed in the evening breeze and his white hair billowed behind him.
"Kunzite!" Venus growled
"Princess." He walked over to Venus and kneeled before her. 
"What do you want!? Are you some kind of plot that Aphrodite and her friends have worked out?"
"Would someone who is against you travel from the Nether World just to dry your tears?"
He got up and kissed the senshi as he wrapped his cloak around her. At first she enjoyed the sweet taste of his lips, but then she realized that she was kissing the enemy and she pushed him away.
"How dare you! How dare you try to seduce me! You came here to hurt my friends and myself. You're supposed to be dead with your Evil Queen and now you're working for the evil Senshi."
"If I wanted to harm you I would have done it by now. How must I prove that I mean you no harm?"
"Venus Love and Beauty SHOCK!" Super Sailor Venus shot her attack at the ex-general.
He blocked it with his cloak and it bounced off and hit Venus. The Shock didn't kill her, but it began to surround her.
"What's happening to me?"
"MINA!" Kunzite tried to run to his love, but the light was blinding him and he had to cover his eyes.
Sailor Venus was beginning to pulse with brilliant light and she was stripped of her serafuku.
Her body was then covered with a light cloth and it began to drape itself around her glowing form and cover her body. Her feet were then enclosed in lightweight golden slippers and her naked hands were clothed in gloves. Then her bow was ripped from her hair and it turned into a golden tiara set with topazes and rubies. Lastly her forehead began to glow with the pulsing sign of Venus as she fell to the ground.

Tomoe Mansion...
My thoughts were filled with ideas on how to approach Selene and her senshi at dawn. I knew that they would kill Mercury if we didn't surrender our powers and me. But how could Mercury distract them for the next thirteen hours?
"Hey Sirius," Haruka spoke to me.
"What?"
"How come all of us have a counterpart and you don't?" she asked.
"Uh well, I do have a counterpart, but she is um..." I stuttered.
"Who is she?" Michiru wondered.
"Who do you think it is?" a strange, but familiar voice filled our ears.
The voice was coming from the air around us and it scared all the birds in the sky.
"You may know me as an enemy, but you see I am not that bad."
"Oh no, please not her!" I begged. 
The air in front of me began to grow black and figure claded in black armor began to form.
"CHAOS!" Everyone got in their battle positions.
Sailor Chaos raised a red-black eyebrow and sighed. She and I exchanged glances; I just shrugged my shoulders. A wisp of her dark maroon hair escape her helmet and she brushed it back under her helmet. 
"Stop that! I don't want to fight! I may be evil, but I have my power under control. I never asked to be the Senshi of Chaos and my power got away from me in that battle with Galaxia. It formed those wicked bracelets on her arms and you don't think I've had to suffer from all of this!? If I can keep my power under control I am fine, but sometimes my power overcomes me and I'm overtaken and destroyed."
I moved forward to her. "What do you want from us?"
Sailor Chaos looked at me her eyes glistened with tears and I realized that she was telling the truth. She never wanted to be like this and she did all she could by trying to keep Chaos under control. Her eyes looked at me for mercy and I took her hand.
"Go on Chaos. Tell us what you know."
"Sirius. Some of the dark forces still remain and they were able to inhabit and feed off the starseeds of the Senshi: Selene, Hermes, Aries, Zeus, Aphrodite, Gaea, Poseidon, Cronus, and Hades. They want revenge for what they think their past friends caused and once they defeat the Earth Senshi, they want the Guardian of the Universe to take over the Universe."
"Can you not remove the darkness from their seeds?" Michiru asked.
"It's not that simple. The Guardian has the set them free," Chaos stated.
"Who is this Guardian?" Mars asked.
Chaos looked at me and I shook my head.
"Only time will tell." And she disappeared in a puff of black smoke.
