Chapter 3

Serena recently left the temple after a small raid of Rei's manga, she walked down the street hoping to catch a small round of videogames at the Crown Game Center. Luna trotted in front of her, making sure that there was nothing for her mistress to slip on. Mina spied her friend from across the street and, along with Artemis, they jaywalked to meet their friends.

"Hi Serena. Hi Luna. Where are you two going?" Mina smiled.

"The arcade," Serena replied.

"I came along to make sure that Serena's recent case of clumsiness doesn't hurt anyone."

"Luna! I think I can take care of myself."

Just as Serena finished her sentence, she tripped on a crack in the sidewalk and landed on her face. Mina and the cats sweat-dropped, Luna let out a small sigh.

'Serena,' Luna thought, 'what am I going to do with you?'

Someone watched the two blondes and their cats from a building rooftop. She was wearing a yellow fuku with two violet-red bows. Her shoes were violet-red half boots that were speckled with yellow. Her hair was a medium length and was dark red. Her eyes were a simple brown and they were attentive and alert.

The gears in her mind turned as she felt high power readings coming from the two girls. Her eyes focused on the girl with the strange hairstyle, they widened when they stopped on the girl's forehead.

"The Princess!" she whispered. "But if she's here wouldn't the Guardian be protecting her? I'll capture her and that will make Selene respect me more."

The Sailor Senshi jumped off the building and landed in front of the girls.

As the shadowy figure in a serafuku crouched before Serena and Mina, the two girls stared blankly as the figure rose to her full height.

"Who are you?" Mina asked.

The Sailor Senshi looked down at Mina; then she turned to Serena and smiled.

"So little princess, you're alive and well. Why don't you come with me and I'll save you the trouble of fighting."

Serena started to back away. "What are you talking about?"

Luna and Artemis looked at one another. "Serena, transform! It's the new enemy!"

Luckily the street was empty and the two Sailor Senshi of Earth were able to transform.

"Moon Eternal Power!"

"Venus Crystal Power!"

"MAKE-UP!"

Both Mina and Serena henshined into Super Sailor Venus and Eternal Sailor Moon.

"So the little princess can fight. I'm Sailor Gaea, the true ruler of Uranus. Prepare to die Sailor Senshi."

"Luna! Artemis go warn the others!" Venus said.

The two cats ran off and left the three senshi to their fight.

"Tell me where the Guardian is!" Gaea sneered.

"Guardian? What Guardian?" asked Sailor Moon.

"You know exactly which Guardian! Destruction Earthquake!"

Sailor Gaea plunged her hand into the ground and the ground started to quiver violently. The attack was very similar to Uranus's World Shaking. Sailor Moon fell to the ground, but Venus was able to stand the shock.

"I call upon the power of Venus! Venus Love and Beauty Shock!"

The attack hit Gaea and made her stumble, but she quickly regained her posure.

"Ow! You made me fall down Venus."

Gaea was about to do another attack, when something hit her in the gut.

"Space Sword Blaster!" Sailor Uranus leaped off a balcony, she towered over the fallen Gaea. "No one threatens the Princess."

"So you finally showed up Uranus! I am Sailor Gaea, the keeper of life on the planet Uranus. Nature Revenge!"

A spiral of the four main elements twisted out of Gaea's hand. Sailor Uranus held her ground and wielded her talisman

"You asked for it! Space Sword Blaster!"

The two attacks smashed together, the two powers seemed to be equal. But the power of Uranus's Space Sword seemed to be winning. After the karate match, I had taken to the rooftops again to get home faster. But as I bounded over the buildings, I spied my companions and a senshi who I had never seen before. I climbed onto a building ledge and raised my arms. Wind started to swirl around me as I summoned my comets.

"Cosmic Comets Collide!" Two comets sped out of hands and charged at my targets. The balls of fire and ice knocked Gaea off her feet and pinned her against the wall. The other comet hit Uranus, but didn't do as much damage as it did to her counterpart.

"Sirius! This is my fight!" Uranus yelled.

"My turn Uranus. Aren't we supposed to share?" I hopped from the iron fire escapes and onto the ground. My attention turned to the evil senshi on the wall. "Gaea, so you're one of the new enemies. I've met your friend Sailor Zeus. She's not very nice, but I still like her." I put my face close to hers, she started to sweat. "I have warned you once, tell your leader that she will not get the Guardian or the Sol System."

I snapped my fingers and the comet disappeared, my footsteps clicked on the concrete as I walked away.

"This isn't over yet! I promise you we shall win!" Gaea disappeared into a portal of violet-red.

Sari's Apartment...

Sailor Gaea kneeled before Sailor Selene, the senshi from the Dead Moon, was in a bad mood and Gaea's failure and disobedience pushed her over the edge.

"What the heck did you think you were doing Gaea!?" Selene yelled.

"What you wanted us to do; fight the enemy," Gaea stammered.

"But I told you just to scout the area for the senshi, not to attack! And I promised Poseidon we wouldn't do anything till we talked to them."

"When does that little brat start to have say in this mission?"

"Did you forget something Gaea? That little brat has more power than all of us put together. She can control the ocean and the Doppler Shift. Believe me I don't want get her mad."

The yelling from the living room caught the attention of the three other people in the apartment.

"Sari? Valerie? What's going on?" said Elsie as she walked in followed by Cleo and Zoe.

"Yeah, what is going on? I sensed powers going back and forth not far from here." Cleo looked around.

"Poseidon I'm sorry, but it had to be done," Gaea/Valerie pleaded.

"I don't care what you do anymore as long as you don't hurt Ivy."

"What's so special about that Ivy?" Selene/Sari asked.

"I don't know. She seems different from other people and I like her."

"Cleo likes whom?" said Aphrodite as she walked in. Instead of her fuku she was wearing a pink blouse and a black skirt.

"What are you wearing?" Elsie/Ares questioned.

Aphrodite looked down at her outfit. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing and while I'm in this form call me Christy. Alright Elsie?"

"Fine, Cleo likes this girl who lives near here," Elsie replied.

"Skye, Celeste, and Xenia are waiting for me outside. Bye."

Christy/Aphrodite left in a puff of pink smoke.

"We might as well go our separate ways. I have ordered Hades, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Cronus to mingle with the Earthlings. I want to check out this city as well. You three can do as you wish."

Sari opened the door and walked out of the apartment.

Crown Fruit Parlor...

The four senshi assigned to mingle with the Earthlings walked down the same street that the brawl with Sailor Gaea had taken place earlier. I was sitting in a booth at the Crown Fruit Parlor at the time and I didn't pay much to them. Before they came in they seemed to be arguing about something. Then they walked in and sat down in a booth not too far from me.

"Hi Ivy!" Elizabeth walked over to me with her order pad.

"Hi Elizabeth, how are things going with you?"

"Nothing, that group of girls that just walked seem a little weird, though."

"What more can you say to that? Can I just have a diet soda?"

"Sure, be right back."

As Elizabeth walked away I couldn't help, but over hear the conversation of the four girls.

"Do you have ice-cream here?" Skye/Hermes said.

"Yeah, what flavor?" The waitress asked.

"Umm...What do you have?" Skye asked again.

"Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, mint, Oreo, cherry, coconut, and shakes or sundaes."

"I'll have the Oreo," Skye ordered politely.

Celeste and Christy ordered vanilla, while Xenia had the mint. As the waitress walked away they started to talk about some interesting things.

"We need to figure out how to locate the Guardian," Celeste/Hades whispered.

My ears perked up.

"Selene didn't like Gaea's little outburst earlier today, we really need to find some way to attack the Sailor Senshi, then we can take the Guardian away from them," Xenia/Cronus replied.

"Selene said the Guardian would protect the Universe at all costs. Her main mission, at the moment, is to protect the Princess though, so that was why she was reincarnated into this era," Skye added in a whisper.

"Yes and we had to wait one thousand years and deal with the Sailor Wars at that matter," Christy muttered.

"If it weren't for me, Galaxia would have taken our starseeds and added them to her little garden. Do you know how hard it is to hide from her!" Xenia whispered loudly.

The waitress came back with their ice-cream. They stopped talking, they were in awe over the frozen desert. They ate quietly savoring their first taste. Elizabeth came back with my diet soda.

"How's Lita?" she asked.

I snapped back to reality. "Huh? Oh, Lita's doing fine. She hasn't done her homework for the vacation yet."

"Well can you blame her? After all it's not every day you get a week vacation."

"But on Monday I have four tests to take and each one is important if I want to transfer to Nerima."

"What's there?" she sat down in the booth.

"Well, my martial teacher said there was a good dojo there called Anything Goes School of Martial Arts and I asked my father about it and he said I should transfer there if I wanted."

"There seems to be a but though," Elizabeth said. She looked me directly in the eyes.

"But I don't know how my friends would react. I'll just wait and see what happens."

Elizabeth got up and patted me on the back. "Do what your heart says, Ivy."

I smiled and turned back to the girls' conversation. The waitress had come back to their booth and put the bill on the table. They were confused.

"What is this for?" Christy held up the bill.

"That's how much the ice-cream costs," the waitress said, you could hear the patience dying from her voice.

"Why should we have to pay for food?" Xenia slammed her fist down on the table.

"It's what you do when you go out to eat. If you're not going to pay I suggest you get in the back and start doing dishes," the waitress snapped.

"We don't have..." Celeste trailed off.

My head shook automatically, I got up and walked over to the waitress.

"I'll pay for their ice-cream. How much is it?"

The waitress looked me up and down. She sneered as she spoke, "1,500 yen. And I prefer cash."

I pulled the paper money from my pocket and slapped it into her awaiting hand.

"Have a nice day," I smiled.

She just stared at me, I exited the Fruit Parlor without looking back. I heard the girls climb out of the booth and follow me outside. They whispered between themselves, I pretended not to notice. Finally one of them tapped my shoulder.

"Excuse me, but why did you do that?" the one called Skye asked.

"It was my good deed for the day, besides I don't think you should get stuck doing dishes for the next four hours."

"Thank you, is there anyway we can pay you back?" Celeste asked.

I smiled. "It's okay, you don't have too." I turned away from them.

"Wait! Can you at least tell us your name?" Xenia called after me.

"My friends call me Ivy," I said over my shoulder.

The four whispered again.

"Ivy wait!"

All I wanted to do was go home and look at the data Computer collected. My fists clenched and I turned around.

"Yes?" I asked a little impatiently.

"My name is Skye, this Celeste, Xenia, and Christy. Thank you."

"Hey, it's alright. Besides if I was in the same situation I would want somebody to help me too."

"By any chance do you live near somebody named Cleo?" Christy asked.

"Yes? She's my new neighbor, why?" I said cautiously.

They turned to one another. "We are friends of hers," Skye said.

Something started to beep and the girls hushed.

"We have to go, bye!"

Xenia, Celeste, Christy, and Skye ran down the street and disappeared into an alley. It seemed I was a magnet for evil, I had just found the new enemy and I wanted go home to do research. I could have captured them and threatened this Selene. But for some reason I wasn't up to it. And from the conversation I had heard, they had waited a long time to capture the Guardian. Well, they wanted to meet me, what could be better time than now?

"That was really stupid of you Skye. Luckily Ivy was there," Celeste scolded.

"Don't be too hard on her let's just transform and get this battle started," Xenia and Christy laughed together.

The quartet of senshi were gathered in an alley between two abandoned warehouses. Two figures approached the alley, they were silent and the senshi didn't notice.

"Excuse me!" They heard a voice.

They turned around and saw Valerie and Zoe.

"We have to meet Selene in 20 Earth minutes," Zoe said.

"On whose orders?" Skye questioned.

"Selene's, she wants to start this battle," Valerie stated.

"Fine," Skye rolled her eyes. "Henshin items everyone."

"Hermes Messenger Power!"

"Aphrodite Love Destiny Power!"

"Hades Lord of the Dead Power!"

"Cronus Time Matrix Power!"

"Gaea Mother Nature Power!"

"Zeus Lightening Sky Power!"

"MAKE-UP!!!"

Aura colors flashed and flared in the air. Everyone basked in their respectful colors:

Skye was engulfed in blue and yellow; Christy in red and pink; Celeste in black and blood red, Xenia with army green and dark blue; Valerie in violet red and yellow; and Zoe in pale orange and light blue.

When the transformation was over Skye was holding her Caduceus, Christy had her mirror, Xenia had Father Time's scythe, and Zoe was holding a silver lightening bolt.

"Let's go!" Gaea turned around and ran down the alley followed by the others.

On top of one of the warehouses...

'So my assumptions were correct,' I thought. 'There's only one thing to do now.'

"Sirius Silver Star Armor!"

I was surrounded by silver plates that covered my body and then the plates went to my wrists, feet, and finally my head. Energy surged throughout my body, people would kill for this type of power. I took my helmet off and tossed it over my shoulder, a rip in space opened over my shoulder. My deep space pocket, its where I keep my weapons and the Staris Sword. It comes in handy for other uses. As the helmet disappeared a silver circlet wrapped around my head. The armor had a mind of its own sometimes. I grasped the ledge and jumped off, the wind tousled my short hair as I flew after the senshi.

Library...

A blue haired girl sat at a table in the far corner of the library. Her head was bent over some extra credit assignments. She put her pencil down and with a satisfied smile she looked over her work.

'Good that's done; now onto English,' a blue-haired girl thought, 'And where is Ivy? She said she would be here. Well I might as well get back to my work. Maybe I should go to Germany this year, but what would the others say? Luna did say something about a new enemy, but she hasn't called me yet.' She went back to her homework. Little did she know that Sari was behind her.

Sari smiled as she sensed the power of Mercury flowing through the girl's veins. She put an innocent face on and went behind the blue-haired girl and bumped into her, not on accident.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Sari apologized.

"That's alright. Are you new here, I've never seen you before," Ami replied.

"Yeah. I'm just looking around seeing what this place holds."

"Holds?" Ami wrinkled her forehead.

"I mean umm..."

"I know what you mean, this place doesn't look like a library from the outside."

Sari blushed, "That's exactly what I mean."

"If you need any help, just ask me," Ami smiled.

"What is your name?" Sari asked.

"Ami, and yours?"

"Sari."

Selene gave Ami a smile that looked a little evil. 'Just as I thought, her name proves that she is from the royal line of Mercury.'

Before any more words were exchanged, Sailor Hermes rushed into the library waving her staff.

"Sari! Sari!" Hermes's yelling disturbed the peace in the library.

Sari smacked her forehead as her friend ran up to her.

"What do you want?" Sari snapped.

"Zeus and Gaea said that we could use your," She then noticed Ami.

"Why are you dressed like a senshi?" Ami wondered.

"I umm uh." Hermes stuttered.

"She's in a play. I'm coming right now. Good-bye Ami," Sari yelled and left pushing the poor girl in front of her. Sailor Hermes glanced over her shoulder at Ami.

"Sari is that..."

"Shut-up!"

Ami was dumbfounded. 'That girl seemed familiar. Where have I seen her though? And that serafuku...' Ami gathered her books and shoved them in her bag, she ran out the door. The other people in the library stared at her as she ran out.

Alley near library...

Sari was yelling at her friend, her voice bounced off the walls and rattled the fire escapes.

"How could you do such a stupid thing Hermes! That was Sailor Mercury and if she recognized you everything could be ruined!"

She raised her hand above her hand and shouted, "Selene True Power! MAKE-UP!"

Black and pale yellow ribbons surrounded Sari, she finished transforming and followed Hermes.

They didn't notice that Ami was hiding behind a mailbox.

'Sari's a true senshi! I never would of thought that. There's no time to tell the others.' Ami ran after the two. Making sure to stay a safe distance away.

Park...

"Alright what's going on," Selene demanded when she ran up to her troops.

"We were about to start attacking random things. That would cause the Sailor Senshi to come out and we demand that they surrender and give us the Guardian," Hades replied.

"I like it. What will we do then, Zeus?" Selene glanced over at her second in command.

"Well Gaea, Hermes, and I will hide in the shadows, when they refuse to give us what we want, we will come out and attack them and then," Zeus paused.

"We destroy them," Cronus finished.

"Good plan. Now let's see if it will work," Selene said evilly.

They started to walk out of their hiding spot, when Hermes felt something.

"Wait! What's that!" Hermes looked behind and saw a flash of blue.
